Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 36w3d/cabbage patch doll FTM, etc: STM Appointments: Massage Wednesday, MW Thursday Team: Green Symptoms: NESTING. And all the lame/annoying physical stuff I've complained about for months. Milestones: Friday is early term! Rants/Raves: The nesting is so crazy. I was tired yesterday so I rested most of the day then at 9/9:30 I went through my "to sell" pile and filled a suitcase with donations and tried to make the guest room more "friendly" (it's also a storage room). Then today I reorganized our front closet, fiddled with the living room arrangements and just now I forgot about my bowl of ice cream when I went out to throw a couple donation/gift bags in the van and ended up installing the car seat.

Gah I don't know how to delete my duplicate thread! I'll copy and paste my checkin here, everyone ignore my thread 🤣
Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: due 7/31
FTM, etc: 4thTM
Appointments: tomorrow
Team: green
Symptoms: my hip flexors hurt every time I stand. And I am SO FREAKING DONE. So done.
Milestones: I am guessing I'll make it to my due date for a third time 🤣 the only time I went early I was induced for an unholy high blood pressure.
Rants: trying to stay positive while simultaneously willing this baby to get out of my ute.
Raves: starting to worry about an induction. I don't think I want to be induced at 41 weeks if I get there and I truly do want to avoid induction at all costs since both of my experiences have been pretty traumatizing, but the more pregnant I get the more I know it is a possibility. I think my practice only lets people go a few days past 41 weeks anyway.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 38 on Wednesday. Due 8/14
FTM etc: STM
Appointments: had one today, 8/5 unless we induce next week
Team: pink
Milestones: early full term. Discussing induction unless she comes on her own.
Symptoms: BH, back to nesting, fatigue, constipation, shortness of breath
Rants: i can’t get comfortable in any position ever
Raves: I’m so excited to meet baby soon! And I feel like we have the vast majority of stuff ready.
So.. doctor is out of town the week of due date. We have a choice of induction one day shy of 39w, or to induce week of my due date but not have my doctor, or to wait until closer to 41w. I don’t like option 3 at all since that’s also start of school and DS is starting a new school. So it’ll be one of the first two options. I am dilated to a 3, so if I am induced at nearly 39 I’m hoping it won’t be horrible.

friendofdobby I'm not sure how your practice is set up or how attached you are to your doctor but I would choose the week of due date induction with a different doctor. I would bet if you are at a 3 an induction wouldn't be too terrible, but I am biased because my natural labor was soooooo much easier than my inductions (it was my biggest baby, too). I am usually a 0 though so I have to go in the night before for cervical ripening and the whole nine yards.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 5 weeks tomorrow! FTM, etc: STM Appointments: Not until September for her first round of shots Team: Pink Symptoms: Still swollen and bruised around the incision site. I'm doing things I shouldn't be yet so it's probably my own fault. Milestones: N is already over 10 lbs and growing crazy fast! And how us she already 5 weeks old? Rants: I had no pooch above my incision with my first CS but I have one this time. I feel like it's still mostly swelling (and obviously some fat that I need to lose still) but I'm overly worried that the doctor did something during the surgery and I won't be able to get rid of it. I plan on being back in a bikini by next summer so it had better go away. Raves: N is a dream baby. She is the sweetest little thing and only cries when she's hungry...which makes it super easy to figure out what she wants:) friendofdobby I had my CS at 39+2 this time and baby was happy and healthy. I'd probably lean towards a 39 week induction if it meant keeping your own doctor.

Made it to my due date again 😩 I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and they are really pushing me to get an induction on the calendar. I really want to decline and go past 41w but I question if that is the right call or not. Ughhhh, please baby come on your own!!

We did decide on 8/6 as induction date, unless she comes sooner. It would be nice to go into labor this weekend and avoid the induction. But if it comes down to it I’ll be happy to have my own doctor and meet baby girl next week.

I’m trying to walk more. Have tried sex and will likely try again with that soon but sex is super awkward at this stage.

I totally thought last night was the start of labor. I had contractions 5-7 mins apart for an hour. It was late so I went to bed and thought I’ll see what happens... nothing happened.

cookswithwine I am in the same boat today. Contractions about every 7-8 minutes apart. This is how labor started with my second though... I would bet I will be having a baby within 48 hours, and I would bet you will too!! Fingers crossed!

Nothing like the other night has happened since. I have contractions throughout the day still but no pattern. Guess it was a fluke.

I have a whole lot of nothing happening today. This happened with DD2 too, so I am trying not to lose heart. I woke up in the MOTN in labor with her after my day of nothing.
*** tmi alert *** I have at least started losing my mucus plug, so I am hopeful I am dilated enough that if I need to be induced I can skip the ripening step. I would be much more amenable to it that way!!

Still had to do ripening, but it ended up not being too long! Fx for you

I've heard stories of the ripening starting labor for some people which is another ideal induction situation in my book, lol! Well, at least my body is doing something on it's own, that's never happened before my inductions before.

We have officially reached near term! We can have a home birth now so baby feel free to come when ready. peachesncream: My friend just had a baby via induction and she was 3cm dilated when she went in and all they did was break her water. I know that's intense, it was for her - super fast birth! - but IMO it's better than pitocin.

It’s not my favorite, but at that point I just wanted things to get going anyway!

My hospital does 12 hours of Cytotec 😭 it's just the absolute worst, I go in at 8 pm, am up all night from those contractions, and then typically have 5+ more hours of labor after they break my water and start Pitocin at 8 the next morning. It just makes for a marathon day or two, and I usually get an epidural just to get some sleep in which I would also like to avoid this time.
