We are going on a road trip in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for podcasts DH and I can listen to with 11 year old SD in the car. I usually listen to true crime podcasts, but she definitely can't handle those. Any recs?

Can I Pet Your Dog is a fun one, it's basically a podcast for people who love dogs and the two hosts talk about dogs they met and interview guests about their dogs and do a mutt minute about a dog breed each week. If you kid loves dogs, it's great.
I always loved Wait Wait Don't Tell Me as a kid, although the humor/news and political topics can be a bit over kids' heads. Ask Me Another might also be, but it's a really fun quiz show and family friendly.

My kids love The Unexplained Disappearance of Mars Patel. It's a serialized podcast.
If your child likes science, Brains On! is fantastic. My friends recommend "Wow in the World" but we haven't listened to that yet.
"Thrilling Adventure Hour" has a bunch of different stories. My son likes the Sparks Nevada serial.

We have listened to Brains On with my nine year old sd. I thought it was super interesting and even my 4 year old liked it too.
