No nursery here either yet. Team pack n play in our room for a few months. We have to figure out where MHs desk and computer is going to go and then we'll set the guest room up for the baby. We'll have to get DS1 a new bed too so the baby can have the crib.
I need a bigger house desperately guys.

DS has a 3 drawer Hemnes at his dads house. It worked really well for his room. Just bought a different 3 drawer (smaller) dresser at IKEA for this baby. I forget it’s name.

We have a nursery that won't be used for 5ish months but because I'm an over-planner (helps calm my anxiety), I just had to get it done. I'll post pics in a second.

We have the nursery from DD. She’s currently transitioning to her bedroom. By nursery, I mean the room with the crib, glider, & change table in it. It has not be beautified at all... and my furniture doesn’t match lol. We also have the bassinet & an extra armoire from DD’s bedroom set in our room for the baby.

I am there too. I have to wear leggings under the maternity dresses because they are too short to be work appropriate.

I am an enormous house and baby has dropped for sure. I wore some non-mat sweatpant capris yesterday and they were under my belly and I was *that* person with the belly hanging out at CVS. It was....v embarrassing.

I know it will all be ok, but I am having these strong feelings of not wanting to have a newborn around. It just seems so tiring. And managing the summertime outdoor activities for the older two feels impossible. And breastfeeding. And not sleeping. And on and on....

Are you all buying new nipples for your bottles? I’ve heard people do that, but if they look fine and I boil them to sterilize them, wouldn’t they be fine to reuse?

I am feeling so burned out on work. 6 weeks left or less but that feels like forever. I have work to do today but I am so unmotivated. I may push it all to tomorrow.

cookswithwine: DD didn't like bottles so ours our fine but some of the secondhand ones I have the nipples seen flimsy so I might replace those. robinanne: I was just thinking about how the second pregnancy doesn't have the "magic" of the first. It's hard to treasure these moments with the little wild ninjas. It made me kind of sad even though I know it will still be sweet just different. For example, I'm excited to see her interact with the baby.

And I want him ooouutttt at the same time too....but not until after next week. We're going to the shore tomorrow for the week. So he needs to stay put until we get home next Saturday.

I just replace the ones that stretched out. We exclusively used 0 or 1s for all my babies, so if I turn them upside down and a steady stream of milk trickles out they are probably due to be replaced 😂 I don't think we replaced any until my third kid, they lasted pretty well through the first two kids.

My doctor said this baby hasn't dropped yet but I think he's a liar. I have never had this much pelvic pressure and discomfort in my previous pregnancies!! Ooowwwwwww.

Why in the world are car seats so hard to install? My god. We installed DS’s new highback booster (with harness bc he’s not ready for just a belt) and tried to install car seat base next to it. Impossible. We are going to have to start from scratch. Another day though because I’m tapped out.

Sorry guys! Post RCS recovery mode + newborn = not being on here enough!
Wednesday went great! We got to the hospital at 8:30 am for a 10:30am RCS. 10:30 came and went and just after 12 they came to tell us they had to close the ward because it was completely full so they couldn't accommodate any more labouring mothers. Crazy! DD2 was born at 3:04. The CS was super quick and Nikola Ava came out perfectly. She is so small compared to DD1...only around 19" and 7.5 lbs but she has the sweetest and calmest temperament and slept like a champ last night. We are all smitten over here. Including DD1 (who now thinks baby is cuter than her dolls so she is happy).
