I’m feeling good about the progress we’ve made over the past couple of weeks. Major thing left to purchase is a dresser. Then I can put all her clothes in proper places.
I’ve also been on Pinterest looking at different ways to organize things. I may be doing some little projects with SO over the coming weeks. 3 bedroom apartment is feeling mighty small with the addition of all the baby stuff. But, I think we can make it work.

I am pretty much ready I think. I need SO to get a few baby things from his mom's house that we stored there and I have one room left that needs a few hours of cleaning/organizing (which I'll try to get to tonight) but everything else is done. I had contractions for 3 hours last night that got me a little nervous, so I think packing the hospital bag is on tonight's agenda (I still have 19 days before the scheduled RCS) just in case. But I'm ready to be done with the constant nausea and vomiting! Oh wait...we do still need to install the car seat. I'll get SO on that as soon as we get the winter tires taken off this week.

DD's sheets arrived today, DH is going to make slats then her room will be ready besides decor.
Baby things: make bassinet sheets, clean sit & stand stroller and order it new wheels (got it for free so, worth it!), set up baby space in the room, put together hospital bag, get out last of the baby stuff from the storage room.

Baby's room is pretty much finished and I love it so much, especially this corner: I need to install the car seat base, but besides that I think we have everything else ready. I just have some general house cleaning stuff I need to do, but currently the exhaustion and aches and pains are outweighing the nesting instinct.

I'm not ready, but I don't intend to do a lot to get ready 😂 baby will sleep in a pack n play for the first few months, eventually I'll need to drag the newborn clothes out of the basement but I probably won't wash them until baby is born because I'm not gonna bother if it's a boy #lazy.
I mowed the lawn today and it was hot as heck, so I'm rewarding myself by sitting on the couch watching Handmaid's Tale and drinking virgin mojitos.

I am trying to remain calm and be levelheaded about this..
But SO just remembered that the middle name we chose for baby (Louise) was his ex wife’s middle name.. she switched middle name to her maiden name when they got married, so he didn’t associate the middle name to her anymore.
Louise is also a family name on both SO’s family and mine. We’ve told everyone that this is the MN. I just wish I had the info above before today.. so we could have decided if that’s still what we want to use.
This may seem petty, but I’m having feels at the moment.

We’re mostly ready. I need to buy something cheap to store baby clothes in (will be in our room, so compact and inexpensive is a must), and get some wipes/a couple more packs of diapers. The laundry basket full of baby clothes needs to get washed and put away. Will probably wrangle the car seat bases in another week or two. I also need to decide if I want to buy a glider/something more comfortable than our current antique rocking chair for nighttime feeds. I really want one, but we’ve got a bunch of expensive things coming up, so I’m not sure it’s the best use of money right now.

Our house is small, so I really don't want a swing and pack n play set up until we absolutely need them. I need to go through clothes and see what I have that will work. And then go shopping for more since DS1 was a winter baby. We need to order the car seat still. And a dresser. I figure we have many months of the baby sleeping in our room anyway. So no rush getting the office converted back to a bedroom.

I'm still internally having the "infant car seat or straight to convertible" debate in my head. I loathe infant car seats so much. It will probably be decided for me when baby comes and I don't have the infant seat installed yet but can adjust the fit of one if the convertibles in my car 😂 anyone else debating skipping the infant seat or just me? I've never had a travel system or anything and with 4 under 5 the double stroller is coming with us wherever we go anyway.

I'm doing an infant seat this time. I went straight to convertibles with my other two. It just seems too daunting with three. I want to click him in and out when I need to. And not have to wake him and finagle him into my ring sling or other carrier.

I’m feeling pretty good about where I am so far. Nursery is mostly put together. I just hung stuff on the walls so that makes it look more finished. H just installed the closet organizer so now I can load the closet up and eventually wash baby clothes/bedding. There is a lot of stuff just piled in that room right now but with being the 2nd baby I basically have all the stuff... O only slept in my room for 8 weeks then he was in his own room. I think this one will be similar timeframe so I like to have the nursery ready.

peachesncream +1 to hating the infant seat. I was going to skip it completely and go straight to convertible (which we already have) but then I was reminded that my hospital won't discharge you until you bring the cat seat in and they see baby in it. That plus morning school drop offs ended up making me buy an infant seat. I got a different brand this time (one I like) since DD hated her infant seat so so much.

I hauled my 30 week bump all over the theme park today in almost 90 degree heat. Then DS wanted to do the pool this evening so we did that too. It was a fun day but I’m not moving from the bed tonight.

peachesncream: I tried to skip with my first but the incline of the Radian RXT was wrong for her (6lb8oz) so we borrowed an infant car seat from my BIL & SIL. This time we bought one to avoid that and of course BIL & SIL offered it to us again like a week ago. Oh well. I like ours way better but I also paid a ton for it. DH LOVES infant car seats though so there was no way we would skip now or in the future.

I just did my first load of baby laundry yesterday 😱 (bedding and blankets)! Everything was still in boxes in the nursery so now it’s time to wash and put stuff away. I also sorted NB, 3mo clothes and swaddles into piles. It was fun going through DS1 old clothes and remembering certain outfits.

I sorted out all the outfits that work for a boy, but I haven’t started the laundry yet. Some of the spit up stains are daunting so I’m just avoiding the chore instead!

Haha robinanne! I saw a onesie with a small poop stain but it was one of my faves so that’s why I kept it! Must have been before I figured out to soak in oxyclean over night.

My emotions are out of control lately. I need to have this baby and get back to normal. But then I remember the post-partum hormones...so it may be awhile yet.

Post above prompted by my tears after DS destroyed two Father’s Day cards I just bought. That should not bring on tears.

friendofdobby: Aww sorry about the cards! Pregnancy & PP hormones are rough but kids are just generally frustrating.

Taking a deep breath and relaxing today!! I survived my first Pathophysiology exam (got a B+!!), had a 14 hour commute day yesterday, and had a sick kiddo one day this week all while my husband was out of town. Today is my first day with no classes and I am planning to enjoy it! DH comes home tomorrow, thank goodness.

Hi all sorry I've dropped off a bit, I am having a super difficult pregnancy. :/ Officially have high blood pressure and I'm on labetalol for that now. Tomorrow I've got an appointment tomorrow and I'll find out what they're planning for delivery and the rest of the pregnancy, extra monitoring and whatnot. I haven't been diagnosed pre-e yet but I wouldn't be surprised if that happens
