Had my first annual gyn appointment since my 6 week check up after L was born. I mentioned to my OB that we were thinking of starting TTC late summer/fall and he was like “ohh..?” Which left me very confused. Couldn’t tell if it was just a new information “oh”, but it sounded more like “oh that seems soon”. But I know it’s not too soon. Weird. But L enjoyed all his “please be quiet” Cheerios and the rubber glove balloon the doctor gave him.
Now I’m sitting in my car at the outdoor mall trying to decide if I want to take L out in the rain to return some stuff to sephora and try to find a bra with cups that aren’t flapping in the wind now that my boobs are too small for my nursing bra.

Ugh clementine I’ve been wearing my old (non-nursing) bras from before DD2 and I can’t for the life of me understand how I am 20lbs heavier yet can’t fill up the bra cup. THIS IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL. If you find any good options, let me know. I need something comfy + support + mom life friendly. Maybe a little padding to help my self esteem 😂

I mean I have decided for myself that is probably too soon but that would be a weird reaction from a DR. That would make your second over 2 years younger and I thought that was the accepted ideal?? The OB office I go to has/had a page on their bulletin board saying they recommended a 2 year gap. Or not less than two years. Barring medical reasons I would not let the OB's personal opinion stop you if you think you're ready.

I am packing for a weekend trip and I just realized that the baby's sleep is going to be really hard to find. We are staying down the road from BIL's where we will be spending a bunch of our time so I don't see how we can put him to bed early or naps like we usually do. 😬 I am wracking my brain trying to figure out how we'll survive.

I know I haven't been active for awhile, but hoping I can jump back in. I can't believe it's May already and the year is almost halfway over. My oldest daughter just had a birthday yesterday (she turned 5), my SIL's birthday is tomorrow, mine is Monday, and my oldest son's is Tuesday (he's going to be 20...how is that possible?). So many birthdays in a short time. That means lots of cake though, so no complaints. 😁

Ask your BIL for a back room/closet/bathroom to put him in. Bring your monitor for peace of mind!

Hope your weekend is going well and that sleep isn’t too horrible alwayscheese! You’ll have to let me know what worked for you. My aunt and uncle have a lake house that we have been going to on weekends every summer for years. It’s part chill and part party/downtown bars, but there’s always at least a few other couples/families there. Their kids are all teens/early 20s, so all pretty self sufficient. We didn’t go last summer bc L was so little, but they really want us to come this summer. And I definitely am ready to go back but I am so worried about the sleep situation. Nothing even close to a quiet, dark room and I just know he’s going to wake up when they all come home from the bars drunk and loud af at 2 am. I think I just need to relax and go with the flow for a weekend but we have such a good thing going with sleep and I don’t want to screw it up.

The girl was only minimally helpful and L was fussy after like 5 minutes in the dressing room. I really want to go to Nordstrom bc I’ve heard good things about their selection and service, but the closest one is about an hour from me. She was like “you need this type of bra bc you really need support and your boobs aren’t full at the top anymore. That’s normal for moms”. THANKS. True, but ugh.

Well he didn't nap on the drive down and then bed at like 10:30. Didn't nap all day until about 6pm he fell asleep and had an hour plus nap on the way to supper. Now have an hour plus drive home and he's talking loudly in his carseat. 🤷 there had been minimal screaming so I'm rolling with it. But tomorrow might be 😬

Thanks so much clementine! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ryan has his one year check up tomorrow. He has thrush again. Ugh. He has to have a blood draw for a CBC and his shots too. I'm definitely not looking forward to him getting poked so much. I look forward to the day that both Ryan and my younger daughter don't have to get so much blood work done.

I think the baby so weaning😭 he’s refused to nurse for the past 2 days. My bobs are unimpressed because we were at 3 sessions/day. But I’m wearing a non nursing bra to work and I’m loving it!!

I’ve kinda started the weaning thing the last couple days. She had only been having when she woke up and before bed but I do not have the patience to sit there and have her take 2 sips, sit up, then lay down again, take another 2 sips, do something else, repeat. Drink or you’re done!

Hi!
Everything is just cruising along here. I have to have a surgery for a hernia that means no lifting or pushing more than 4kgs (about 9 pounds) so 😬 what an inconvenience my gosh.
My baby is hilarious at the moment. So much talking and communicating- his receptive communication blows me away. He’s also started doing all these cute gestures and facial expressions along with the talking and I just die it’s so adorable.
He’s also trying to climb shit which is very much DNW! Like maybe try walking first little dude.
My oldest is about to turn 4 and I cannot believe it. He’s becoming so independent but also still my little boy.
A part of me would love to have a third. I don’t have that “my family is complete” feeling but... I also am happy with what I have and the thought of more potential losses (I’ve had three) and then the newborn stage again and and and...

clementine VS is for teenagers. I've been a DD+ since college and even when mine were fairly perky before kids there wasn't anything there of good quality. Don'y be discouraged--its them, not you. My favorite online retailers for supportive bras are True & Co and ThirdLove. Try taking their fit quizzes to get something that works for your type/size and then the free returns at each are fairly easy.

clementine I would definitely recommend going to Nordstrom to get fitting. I've spent so much $$ the past few years trying to find bras that work. I kept trying True & Co and the other than that's similar and feeling like it just wasn't right. Then I started getting really bad neck pain and finally bit the bullet and went to Nordstrom. Oh my gosh. What a difference it makes. I now know my right size (Freaking G cup man, my gosh) and can use that size to find other good bras online. I've actually recently found lounge bras and sports bras in addition to my actual bras that fit and it makes me SO FREAKING Happy. Bras.

Thanks calendula and cornpop! VS was always fine for me, but it’s just not working anymore and I’m tired of wearing an uncomfortable bra. I just ordered one from ThirdLove and I’m telling H to plan a boys day with L on Saturday so I can go to Nordstrom alone. And I’m not coming home until I find a bra that feels like a cloud and makes me boobs look nice.

Hi everyone! I've been even more MIA than usual, but we moved. We sold the other house. We are officially living in one house with so.many.boxes. I am trying to unpack just a bit here and there. We have all the important stuff. I am also being very liberal with what I donate or take to my friend who is having a garage sale. Our new bedrooms don't have black out shades, but I am really impressed with how DS is adjusting. He has a hard time going to sleep, but once he's out, he has been sleeping through the night until 5am. It's amazing. Well, it'd be more amazing if I went to bed before midnight, lol! Currently I am sitting here contemplating our crazy week and writing out the schedule to the hour. It's insane. I am starting to understand that it doesn't get easier as they get older, it gets different. Oy.
How are you all? Happy Mother's Day MAMAS!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
I finished my class I was taking...I am so happy, I got an A! 🙂 Now I just need to take one more class and I can renew my teaching license. J is working on clearing his second ear infection in a month. I really hope this round of abx gets rid of it and it doesn’t come back. DD graduates from kindergarten next week. I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by. It feels like she just started school.

I’m at a training all week to become a CLC and it’s really amazing all the behind the scenes things that take place for us to make milk. High fives to anyone who BF’d through struggles👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Bra update:
I ordered the t-shirt bra from Third Love and the fit quiz gave me a size that was just a bit too big in the cup. Easy exchange and now I have the right size. Much comfy and a good fit for me! I also bought a True Body V Neck from True & Co. It’s wireless so not a ton of support but the most comfortable bra I’ve ever owned. Not ideal for lower cut shirts or ones with a wide V or scoop neck, but totally fine for casual wear otherwise. I struck out at Nordstrom. Tried on a bunch of different brands and styles, but nothing fit great or was that comfortable. Same with VS. Maybe it’s just my body, but having the straps tightened enough resulted in the side of cups digging into my armpits. And there was either cup overflow or gaping from one size to the next. I guess maybe I’m just in between sizes? Either way, I think I’m a Third Love addict now.

clementine in third tri and while nursing I was an in between size also. I tried my regular bras but in a full coverage option and voila! I find something that fit. I still need to decide if I actually still like/fit the ones that I have from before now that I'm done nursing.
