I completely fell off the wagon. With all aspects. I'm blaming all the illnesses/emergencies/stressful shit I've been dealing with for nearly 2 months. And that's true. But also lazy. This month, AT MINIMUM, I will be getting my family's meals back on track. We've gotten super slack on the veggies and super reliant on easy (aka junky) things. Not a whole lot I can do over the next few days with work, but come Monday I'm getting serious again about my meal planning/prep.

I'm starting to do better. I have to think strategically and outsmart myself because I'm really good at talking myself into bad food decisions.
But I've made it about 3 weeks cutting back to 1 cheat soda per week. It's less of a struggle everyday, still requires a lot of discipline, tho.

I’m def here! I’ve had a good couple months and feeling supercharged for spring and summer bc I know my activity will increase more with that.
I’m working out even if it’s only 10 minutes a couple times a week, just telling myself to do the best i can and 10 minutes spent doing squats or bicep curls is better than 10 minutes shoving my face with ice cream.
I’ve had sugar a few times since Easter but not at all like I used to. We are also doing significantly less meat, I’d say 75% meat free and I feel really good with it. I don’t think I’d ever go 100% vegetarian or vegan but just cutting back and replacing with plant based proteins, tofu, beans etc has felt good.

kleigh what are some of your fav meat-free meals? Well i don’t buy special seasonings and stuff so I just Pinterest ideas and then make do with basics. • Black bean and sweet potato taquitos with a lime yogurt “dressing” • Smashed avocado and cannellini bean sandwich (there’s cucumber and purple onion in it too) • egg fried quinoa with mixed veggies • roasted tofu and broccoli over rice with honey soy sauce • mushroom, chickpea, spinach sauté over quinoa w lemon juice • black bean and quinoa enchilada bake

I also have to say, the less meat thing saves a TON of money. I normally spend $180/week on groceries (at stop and shop) and my bill keeps coming to about $120.. and that’s on instacart with Whole Foods so figure add premium for WF and service fee/tip for instacart.

See I feel like we would be opposite. Vegetables are soooooooo expensive here. Meat is as well, but anything other than like carrots and potato costs a fortune.
