I peeked at some of the other boards to GTKY ideas and I liked this one.
Are you having any cravings yet?
What about aversions?
Second/third-time moms, any marked differences from previous pregnancies?

Are you having any cravings yet? Nothing consistent. I'll crave something once and then thats it.
What about aversions? Up until a couple weeks ago, I had aversions to everything. I'm so sad I'm still having strong aversions to coffee, I miss it so much!
Second/third-time moms, any marked differences from previous pregnancies:
This pregnancy feels similar to my last in terms of symptoms, aversions, ect. I do feel like everything is a bit stronger/rougher though (more fatigued, stronger nausea and food aversions), but that could just be because I'm older and chasing a 3 yo as well this time.

Ugh run4fun, yes to the coffee aversion. I hate it. I mean, it's good — because I can't exactly keep up my three-cup-a-day habit — but I miss it. I was super averse to coffee and also to milk while pregnant with M, and I didn't really want to eat much of anything at all. This time is pretty different so far, aside from the aversion to coffee. I'm still eating cereal with milk for breakfast and I have a big appetite overall.

Are you having any cravings yet? I could eat mexican for every meal but I'm also like that not pregnant
What about aversions? Nothing that I can think of
Second/third-time moms, any marked differences from previous pregnancies? I'm craving more savory foods this time as opposed to sweet stuff.

No consistent cravings here either, but the current one is fresh peaches... which are not really around yet. I NEED ONE SO BADLY. My poor husband checked 4 stores last night. He found some plums but they are just not the same.
Aversions- most foods right now.
With my first pregnancy I really craved sweets/carbs, and with the second it was more spicy/savory foods- I was making chili when it was well over 100 degrees out.

Right now I have such a gross taste in my mouth. No food really sounds good but things with lots of flavor like spaghetti or salsa are good because they cover the bad taste. I'm wanting more chocolate than I remember with my other two. I made my H bring me home some fries one day. I don't have a big appetite right now but I'm eating a lot to cover up the taste. So gross.

I had that gross taste constantly for a few weeks in the beginning of this pregnancy. Its not nearly as bad now, but I still get it at least once a day. Its always worse after eating for me.

Looks like you are only a week ahead of me...maybe it will go away for me soon! I hope so! Once it subsided some somewhat, it's made it easier to enjoy eating again. Between the nausea/aversions/gross taste, food never sounded good for awhile 🤢

No real cravings yet. I'm just operating at a low level of not satisfied with any food. I am really lucky and never had any morning sickness with my boys and seem to be dodging that as well this time.

What are y'all eating these days? Particularly, snacks? I am struggling to eat frequently enough; I wait too long and I end up feeling sick but nothing sounds good.

That’s a tough one notblanche. I struggled so much with food from weeks 6-11 so I’m having a hard time remembering what I did manage to eat. Fresh fruit, hummus cups with crackers (I found some really yummy ones at Sprouts), hard boiled eggs, I think. It sucks when nothing sounds good! ETA: it sounds like all I ate was healthy stuff. Not the case, lol. For a while my lunches were limited to bagel bites. It was the only thing that sounded good so I went through quite a bit 😬

I’ve been having a hard time eating, too. Warm, soft breadsticks have been ok. I’ve been eating ramen too, just the noodles. I’m hoping it changes soon because I’m not exactly the picture of health over here.

My appetite is improving, but when it was bad, I just followed my cravings. I had a few milkshakes, doritos, bagel bites (actually having some for lunch right now), cheez its. Healthier things I was able to do: cold water, pickles, salsa and baked tortilla chips, plain cheerios.

Here’s a confession. I have a running list (as in an actual, frequently updated list on my phone) of the foods I want to eat after I’m done with pregnancy. I’ve got so many aversions now and anxiety about a lot of the foods you’re told to avoid, so the list was born. It includes restaurants, recipes, everything.
