Sorry for being MIA the last couple of weeks. Life is continuously crazy. I am coaching DS1's soccer team. Also, he is playing T-Ball, so we pretty much have something going on every night. It is the end of school year rush at work, so I have a large pile of evaluations to get through before the end of the school year. I only have 6.5 weeks and then I get 2 months off!
I became an aunt again yesterday. My sister had her second little boy. He is my 9th nephew. I have 1 niece. We just don't make girls on my side or DH's side of the family.
I hope all of the sick little ones are feeling better.

Congrats on the niece woodenshoes. MIL has 13 grandsons and only 5 granddaughters. That's more balanced than your family though.

How were your first post partum periods? I finally got mine and I’m having to replace my tampon every hour or less. It’s awful.

I remember the first few pp periods after having my DS as being nothing short of horrific. I'm still waiting for the first one this time and honestly dreading it.

snowmoon, my first post partum period wasn't that bad. It was heavy for two days and then was pretty mild. My 2nd was worse. I felt like it would never end.

I started taking bc pills besides to keep it manageable. Igh this is me. I’m having Paragard removed and getting mirena in two weeks. DH is getting a V at the end of May so if mirena sucks I’ll just go BC free. I’m going home to search for my Thinx panties and eat a steak. Followed by wine and chocolate.

PSA- Honest Company has a deal where you buy one bundle the next one is free with code BABYBOGO. Only catch is that it has to be a new account so you’ll need a new email if you’ve ordered from them before.
I’m getting 14 packs of diapers and 8 packs of wipes for $80! I think I’m going to have my MIL a place an order too😅

Leaf 🌱 My first pp was not fun. It has remained not fun for every month following. I am having a hard time coming to terms with the fact this is my new normal. I think I've had around 4 periods in the last 5 years prior to this. blah.

We are gearing up for our move this weekend. I am having all the emotions. I will miss this house so bad. It's adorable and easy to take care of. It's just simply not big enough. I am hoping and praying our new house is good to us. I am terrified of organizing it and finding space for everything. My ILs are living in the basement so we lost all of that space for storage. I have 4 weeks to finish all of my CEs for my real estate license and that's not a lot of time. I wish I'd known how many I need to do. After this it's on to my teaching CEUs, I "only" need 90 of those. No big deal right? Ugh. Some day I'll have free time again.

Good luck moving dizzycooks! We're in exactly the same boat. I'm flying to our new city with the kids tomorrow (MH is already there) and we said goodbye to our house for the last time today. I've loved our house so much and I'm going to miss it terribly. I teared up a little leaving it today.

Hi ladies! Gah...it's been awhile. I meant to check in weeks ago. Thanks for the tags and for thinking of me. I think of our group often and just spent the past several minutes reading back on posts from 1+ years ago. I can't believe our babies are all a year old! I'm really struggling with being done with having any more kids. I'm not sure why. I have 4 kids and some days I feel like I'm going completely insane, but the finality of being done TTC has hit hard.
Anyhow, I'm going to read back on the most recent posts and try to catch up on everyone. ❤

alwayscheese glad you're doing well! Oh wow, I'm sure that's a big commitment and a lot of work. I hope as time goes on, you guys can find a good balance to be able keep that family time. ❤ Yes. I watch 3 kids. I was also running an online kids boutique, but it was just too much and am closing officially in a few weeks.

Since I'm here and thinking about it, I'm going to ask. Anyone transition their little ones from formula/BM to whole milk? I tried to switch Ryan and it didn't go well. He spit up a lot and had tummy troubles. I tried to transition him slowly over time (half milk, half formula), but it didn't help. I also tried lactose free milk and that was a no-go too. Any advice? I never had this issue with my other three.

Hey mattsgirl2004! Does he eat yogurt and cheese and other dairy woth no problem? If he does, I wouldn't worry about pushing whole milk. If you really want him to have some kind of alternative milk, a lot of people recommend Ripple, which is made from pea protein and is the most comparable to cow's milk in terms of nutritional value.

Hi snowmoon and polson! Hope you're both doing well. He likes cheese and yogurt, so I'll stick with that for now. Thanks for the suggestions and help!

How were your first post partum periods? I finally got mine and I’m having to replace my tampon every hour or less. It’s awful. I'm late but I just wanted to commiserate. I've had my period back for almost a year now and still every time it is a freaking blood bath for two days. I have to wear both my diva cup and Thinx and still change both frequently on those days. And OMG i eat so much.

Its worth it to deal with two horrific days to avoid hormonal BC. And DH was able to get in for his pre-op appointment this month so we won’t need BC in 2-3 months anyways!!!

Leaf 🌱, not having to take BC for the past like 6 months has been soooooooooo amazing. I'm just v. v. nervous once my hormones eventually level out that I'll start breaking out again because in the past the BC was the only thing that helped.
