I want to hear about the pizza tgrimesAnd how you’re feeling waitwhatThe house? starbuck And vacation! goldenlove Tinkergarten was cancelled this morning because it’s 38 degrees and downpouring. It weird and cold and miserable outside. One of H’s old co residents keeps texting him pictures of the temp in Clearwater in an attempt to get him to explore the area. Ok dude, how about those summer temps? Palm trees in a back yard have to be nice, though.

I was just about to start this with a confession!
FFFC1: I changed L's diaper and I either didn't put it on right or it's a cheap brand DH bought and it just fell off but he peed all down his leg in his sleep and play!
FFFC2: I'm seriously contemplating getting L girls tights to wear under his pants to try to mitigate the scratching LOL
Otherwise, no plans for today, lots of train books, lots of train toys, that paint matching game (already played twice), and maybe some thomas before nap and bedtime! lol

Question. Dumb question... I found this recipe for floor and grout cleaner and was thinking about trying it out. Does the vinegar and baking soda not dramatically explode because of the amount of water it’s mixed in? I have this image of mixing it together in my kitchen and having it go everywhere before I can get it on the correct floor.

Cheshie6 I’ve had to start lotioning M morning and night the past few weeks and even add in hydrocortisone in some of the worst spots on her legs. The dry air is slowly killing us all.

sophiegrace, It's his eczema the dry air doesn't help but he also scratches to self-soothe. He is lotioned up 3 times a day. Once in the morning, once before or after nap time, and once before bed. He gets medicated stuff 3 days a week. But even with everything, he'll scratch before bed, scratch when he's bored, grumpy, etc. It's also worse when he doesn't feel well. If he's itchy and nothing stops him from scratching including benadryl, I'll take his temp.

sophiegrace yes to Clearwater beach! I was considering it as a potential babymoon location. It’s a given that summers are hot as hell. Ive tried the baking soda vinegar thing... it didn’t work for me. I think the best grout cleaner is toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. You can squirt it right on the grout line.

I’m just going to do that then because I have it and seems like less work. The white grout in the mud room it my arch nemesis. The rest of the grout in the house stays fine with my regular cleaning, but not this darn floor. Do you ever get used to the summers in Florida or do you live forever feeling like a swamp monster?

sophiegrace I’m feeling slightly better. Still really stuffy and congested though. I’ve been drinking a shit ton of hot tea and water and getting really good sleep so I’m hoping to kick this thing ASAP.

I’m WFH and Blippi is on the tv. It’s the only thing my kids are into today... not books, not playing, etc. So whatever.
I’m waiting to hear if we’re having date night today. I hope so, H and I need to catch up on a bunch of things and this week has been weird and no time with dentist appts, allergist appts, fridge breaking and delivery, MIL n coming Monday, etc.
We wan to take the kids somewhere this summer but I’m really undecided. 4-5 hour car ride at most. I’d like beaches, but also be able to do things like walk for ice cream, arcade, mini golf (which I know will be us pretty much doing it for them).. so that’s on my list of stuff to figure out. I’m thinking Cape, but not sure what area is best for us. I’m also looking at Lake George, Cape May, Rehobeth Beach (although not sure MH will go for that drive), and even Boston or the like.

kleigh I love the cape but feel like it’s insane in the summer. But I’m sure that’s the case no matter where you go. What about Ocean City NJ? How far are you from RI? I heard there’s some nice beachy towns there. I’ve also heard Rehobeth beach is beautiful. There’s always upstate NY that’s beautiful in the summer...😜

sophiegrace I love living in FL. I know I joke a lot about the hot summers when it’s 100 degrees. But we actually only break into the 100s a couple times. For example it’s 75 right now! I think the farthest north I would ever move would be NC.

sophiegrace, I dumped vinegar and baking soda into my laundry for my yoga clothes, my washing machine hasn't exploded yet! But I don't know how well it would work for grout. I've never felt that vinegar does a great job cleaning things, personally.

We were supposed to have an all employee global meeting this morning because we just acquired a giant company and today is our first day rolling everything out (new name, logo and colors). The CEO is in Ohio and was giving his presentation from there but our feed kept cutting out. Like we could only hear one or two sentences before it would cut out again.
So they told us to go back to our desks and were like "it's being recorded so we'll show it during lunch time and you guys can bring your lunches into the conference room and watch it then." Umm, no. No way in hell am I spending my lunch break watching a recording of a meeting.

Happy Friday ladies! We're heading home after our trip. We had a good time! H managed well considering he didn't feel great. Yesterday we spent a couple hours at the water park when we arrived. C loved the water slides and walking around in the 2 ft pool area. We went out for their "famous" chicken dinner and it was SO much food for only 2 of us. We normally go with another couple but they pretty much serve you the same amount since it's family style. At least we have dinner for tonight. This morning we had breakfast then went to the newer waterpark in the same hotel and it was a lot nicer. Went through the lazy river a couple times then C "swam" around with H. He had so much fun. I think we're definitely signing him up for swim lessons next.

Sounds fun goldenlove! O has his first swim lesson this Sunday! I’m a little anxious about how he will do since parents are in a “waiting room” not in the pool area. There are windows where you can see the pool (it’s indoors). Everyone recommended this place though.

sophiegrace baking soda and vinegar doesn't really explode like that. It just fizzes and bubbles up. It looks so big in volcano experiments because you use such a narrow tube that it has no choice but to go up and out in a big mess.

I said this on Snapchat but I’m home with M because she been throwing up today. I gave her another dose of zofran so hopefullly that does the trick.
I’ll have to make MH take her to the dentist next week. I’ve missed so much work already this week and M & I are going to CA in 2 weeks.

I’ll bet O will listen and behave like a champ for the instructor. M always responds differently to her “teachers” than she does to me.

I have fallen off the wagon ever since drinking that damn sugar drink yesterday morning. I feel like poo, but can’t stop eating all the things. The cold weather isn’t helping. Makes me just want to sit and shove every comfort food within reach into my mouth.

Makes me just want to sit and shove every comfort food within reach into my mouth. Oh man, I do this too. Like I know I shouldn't be shoving all the Cadbury mini eggs into my mouth as I'm doing it and I still end up eating the entire bag in one sitting. I love sugar and comfort food. I am proud of myself though. We had a reward ceremony thing yesterday afternoon (for the AR reps, my admin team doesn't get rewarded for anything) and they had giant cookies and I passed on them. And then before the meeting today they had pastries set out and I just walked right past them while avoiding eye contact with the croissants. And right now they brought in lunch from a Mexican place and I am sitting at my desk sipping my Miso soup bone broth.

The class I was looking at is offered through our city parks and rec and it requires parents for his age. I think the next one up is without. I took C into the "deep end" yesterday and he was kind of panicking. I held on to him and told him I wouldn't let him go and he did ok after a couple minutes. But today H took and he was actually playing and trying to swim as H barely held him up. So it took a day for him to get excited about it. I think he'll love a class.

Eating like garbage for months and getting in a bathing suit was not a good combo. We'll see how long this lasts.
