Hello ladies! This is a thread I am starting for those of you who may want to participate in a Whole Life Challenge in 2019. I have committed myself to all four challenges for the year because that is what I need to do for myself at this time. Right now there is a discounted rate for participation. If you want to join our team---we are HIH Wellness. PM me for the "join" link. Feel free to post questions you may have about the challenge. I'm sure alumni can provide lots of feedback that may help you decide if you want to join! A few things right off the bat: 1. In the past, our team has encouraged players to follow the nutrition plan that works best for them. The challenge has guidelines for those of us who need guidance and do not have medical recommendations already. If you have a plan already, we support you scoring yourself based on the guidelines of your plan. Honor system and all that since if you lie and eat sour patch kids all day it only impacts you. 2. If you have a baby who does not sleep through the night, you are not penalized for baby wake ups. The sleep scoring is more about "I said I need to go to bed at ten, if I stay up playing on HIH until 11 I don't get my points because I made that choice." 3. The feed has historically sucked on the WLC site. We will have a thread each week here to offer support/post reflections. We support and socialize here...not on the WLC website. Also, for any of you who are on the fence due to having plans to TTC...I will be TTC during at least one challenge and hopefully pg for at least one challenge. This isn't a weight loss challenge it is a wellness challenge.
I was in one of these during my last pregnancy and found that focusing on overall wellness really made a big difference for me in both my pregnancy and my recovery. My OB did modify the nutritional guidelines to include dairy (for me).

yoginikiki, 🍍 🍊 Fineapple 🍍 🍊, leatherpants, ponyhairs, skategirl128, coconutbacon, GhoatMonketWould anyone like to share their goals/what they are hoping to get out of this challenge or what they are focusing on? I think my goal is to feel more comfortable in my skin. For me I need to feel strong and somewhat fit so that I'm not out of breath when running around with my kids. I also want to eat and hydrate in a way that is more overall nourishing to my body. I'm hoping this challenge helps me prioritize myself in my life again. I'm going shopping Friday night for the weekend. It is a long weekend so I want to make sure I plan for some nourishing but fun foods so that I don't feel like I'm missing out when MH goes ham on junk and beer with our friends. I'm going to splurge on some fish as well as some frozen cherries.

I want to establish the habit of taking just a little time for me each day to stretch and meditate. I also want to meet my water goals every day– even on weekends, which is a challenge for me now. I want to get out of the mindset of wanting to treat myself with food or drink. I'd like to finish the challenge a little lighter, but ultimately, I like yoginikiki's goal of feeling comfortable in my own skin, regardless.

I think I am going to take some time to plan out some rewards for myself. I am not a "feeling better IS the reward" person...I wish I was, but I just am not.

My main goal is to get back into the habit of exercising daily again. It helps my mental space so much that the rest of the things seem to snowball from there and I want to get back there.
I also want to work on my nutrition. I need to work on mindful eating and not mindless grazing my way through my life.

I do wish we hadn't made all these boards because I liked when the WLC thread was on the main board. It was literally staring me in the face all day every day.

I'm BBMing I think. At least for this first one. I can’t do anything on my own - I need someone to tell me what to do lol. I’m BBMing. I joined her latest challenge which started last week. It’s fun because it’s a smattering of workouts from all her 90 day challenges. It’s fun to see her different bodies and formats and how things have changed over time.

I want to just feel better during this challenge. I get caught up in the day to day and I’m hoping this will help me reset some habits. I need to drink more water and start exercising more regularly.
I’ve started my meal plan for next week and over the weekend. The weekends are hardest for me on all sides.

Plus one to monster thread. I've never done WLC so I'm not sure what to expect. I'd like to hit my water goal daily, not screw up on weekends, and go to bed earlier since my kids both decided they no longer need sleep.

Sleep and hydration are my two main focuses. If I hit those the rest really seem to fall into place (especially nutrition). I need to drop some inches. I measured at the start of the year so I have a baseline there.

I doubt it will really even be that monster with just the 6 of us of however many In my head I am thinking of the first time I did it and lived in this thread....it was basically my randoms and that worked for me. You are probably right though....I will tag people here daily in the evening until we get in the swing of being on multiple boards.

I need to take measurements— going to do that tonight. I did weigh myself today (for the first time since December), and I am pleased that I am starting this challenge 20+ lbs lighter than when I did one last year in January.
