Which sippy cup is everyone starting with? I was never in love with any specific ones when DD was little and she basically only drinks out of big kid cups now. I want to grab a few options becaue sippys and food are just around the corner for us!

With my First she couldn’t figure out a straw and she would chew on the nub kind. It was 360 cups or bust with her. So that’s what we have and will try I guess.

So I heard the honeybear cup mentioned somewhere. Surprise it's actually a honeybear. With a straw. So you can squeeze out and push the water to the top of the straw for them to suck out. I'm cheap so I just grabbed a reusable condiment bottle and straw from my own cupboard. DS is getting the hang of it but mostly wants to play with the flip-top. 😂 I wanted to get a straw cup for when he can do it I his own, and Amazon has some with weighted straws. But that I was at Aldi today and they had these for $2 or $3 so I got several. We'll see if we like them Nuby 2-Pack No-Spill Flip-It Cups, 10 Ounce, Colors May Vary www.amazon.com/dp/B005LETNW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oWbOBb8Y02QC3I also want to try this when he's bigger. Reflo Smart Cup With Open Rim Flow Control, Training Cup for Kids 6 Month and Up - Blue www.amazon.com/dp/B007ZBYW7O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_SXbOBbR41NQK3

I tried so many with DS1. He hated them or couldn’t work them. I spent so much money on them and then... Take and toss Sippy cups for the win. Forever and ever lol. For first sips I have a basic transition tommee tippee one that comes with a nipple and a Sippy bit.

nevertoomanyshoes the take n toss ones are what my dad will drink milk out of if she’s drinking while playing. I love them but want something a little more sturdy for diaper bag use I think. I’ll look at those tommee tippee ones!

He couldn't figure out the 360 cups to save his life, but was all about the straw cups from the get-go. I saved the 360s and the spout ones because who knows what this one will take to. Babies are weird. If you go the straw cup route, these are amazing since with the weight at the bottom of the straw, babies can still drink out of them no matter what weird angle they're holding them at: www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Click-Weighted-Flexi-Trainer/dp/B00X8BREJS/Pain the butt to clean, though.

I think I’ll invest in some more of the joovy penguin straw cups. They’re a little bit pricier but the design is AMAZING. And it’s all dishwasher safe.

We had something by playtex that was almost identical to the tommy one here but he outgrew it pretty quickly. Take n toss sippies forever. For drinks on the go, straw bottles really are ideal once your kid gets the hang of that. You can do the water bottle route--contigos, camelbaks, etc all make good kid versions that lock without spilling.

Like nevertoomanyshoes we mainly used the take n toss soppy cups and straw cups with DS1. We also used several of the Nuba soppy cups. I tried a 360 glass with DS1 but he was not interested in it.

To get DD1 to drink from a straw we did the trick where you put your finger over the top and then drop it into their mouths... kind of like one of those gerbil water bottle things 😂 It worked though!

Ds would never use a sippy even though we tried a bunch. He would drink out of an open cup at home and we used a camelback water bottle for out and about. He got the hang of it pretty quickly (like 9-10 months?) They're still his favourite.

DS drank out of any kind of sippy. We mostly used Playtex sipsters with both the soft spout and the straw, and the 360. For N I have a Nuby one with a soft spout that she likes and I haven't tried any others yet.
