I’m not sure if it’s the sleep deprivation but I’m dying at this that I saw on FB but also feeling so sad for the little baby quokkas.

Extra funny because clearly made by an American (“Mom” spelling) but is a random, rare Australian animal. Maybe rare because it throws its babies at predators 😬 Ok I’ll stop now. Lol.

My nose is running like crazy (somewhere my dad just felt the need to say “you’d better go catch it!”) and I CANNOT STAND IT. I’m trying to google what is breastfeeding friendly and also won’t make my milk dry up. Matching up ingredients to actual pills in my medicine cabinet feels too hard right now. I just want to whine and lay in bed. /complaining.

So L has been coughing while nursing for the past few days. He did have a runny nose and probably sinus drainage that was making him cough last week, but that’s better now. But now when he’s nursing, he’ll cough frequently, like every 30 seconds or something. It sounds like he’s sputtering and can’t handle the flow, but he’s never had trouble with that before. Could that become an issue all of a sudden? I tried not worrying about it at first, but he’s not nursing for as long and definitely not draining my boob. I think he gets frustrated with all the coughing and just gives up.
ETA: daycare teacher just called and asked if I changed the nipple on his bottles because he’s been coughing with all his bottles today. What the heck.

Idk if DS has HFM or something else. He had a fever Tuesday morning till today I think it's gone. I've seen no spots, just sad baby that pukes. This morning it was projectile puke all over him and I and the couch. Yesterday it was the banana I shouldn't have given him for lunch on MIL's carpet.

clementine post viral tickle? DS has had a niggly occasional cough for like a month now (big part of our sleep woes) and it’s ok when he’s nursing but I can hear the rattle a little still. I took him to the doctor yet because out of ideas to relieve it and he actually gave me a low dose baby steroid for him because his air way is still inflamed even though he’s fine otherwise. All the coughing is just making it more inflamed.

A friend suggested it may be reflux and the more I think about it, the more reflux symptoms I’m noticing. So we’ll see what she says.

I can’t get my baby to nap for more than 20 minutes. Even in her room with the lights out, sound machine on, and in a sleep sack. It doesn’t seem to matter how tired or how full she is. Help meeeeee. She’ll sleep for maybe an hour in the car or if some one is holding her. It’s awful. She can’t be sleeping for more than an hour or two total between waking up at 630 and going to bed between 7-8.

This is us too. I seem to breed cat nappers. It really blows. DS1 stated napping better once he dropped down to one nap. I know that’s not very helpful now though. Do you think you’re stuck in an overtired cycle? My sleep consultant suggests an extra motion nap in the afternoon for 15 minutes (stroller, car, rocker) and an hour earlier bedtime to “break” the cycle of too overtired to sleep. This kid permanently goes to bed at 5 it seems since he won’t bloody nap.

I’m moming at a terrible level. I never get any sleep and my toddler is constantly testing me. I’ve been solo parenting for a week thanks to our piece of shit house. I don’t know how to get out of this rut. I feel bad for my toddler but I am so tired it makes me so grumpy. I thought about trying to get out of the house today but the weather sucks and honestly I think I’m too tired. I’ve been trying to work out every day and that’s helped some, but even that is a struggle of me trying to work out and keep the baby from screaming at me at the same time. I could use a day off and 73636 hours of sleep. Or just, like, one single minute to myself.
Ok. I’m done bitching now. I just had to get that out.

I wish I could put her in a DC for a week or two so they could get her on a better schedule 😂 no matter what I do I can’t get her to do eat-play-sleep.

A decided to wake up every hour- hour and a half last night. Screaming bloody murder at one point, right before H was supposed to wake up for work. He was a big help luckily and tried to get her to calm down. Eventually had to bring her into bed with me and hold her until she fell asleep. Drinking all the coffee this morning. It’s also snowing... again. With about an inch sticking to the ground.

Catching up way late. I'm sorry your toddler is having such a hard time at night ArielMermaid. D1 went through a similar phase not long after she turned 3. It started out being scared of the dark, then shadows, then bad dreams. It was awful and heartbreaking. Mh and I would take turns laying with her until she could fall asleep. She has mostly outgrown it now at almost 4. Like you we tried everything (nightlights, closet light on, monster spray, etc) but she just was so scared no matter what. I'm sorry. I hope she starts sleeping better soon.

MH just legit sleeps in her bed with her most of the night now.

It is so stressful and I would dread bedtime. I even asked her doctor and she assured me that it was normal especially at that age that they become aware of fears and things that may scare them. She started to get better sleeping without us sooner but then the baby was born and everything derailed again.
Now it's so easy. Two songs, close her door-which is her request, and she goes to sleep alone pretty quickly now.

Life has been so busy now that I'm working part time. I'm ready to go back to SAH. But I think the two days away from each other has been good for the baby and I. She is not as attached to me which I'm so happy about. And she is so good for my sister. She naps independently for her. Of course still not for me but I'm hopeful she will eventually.

He did eat play eat cat nap lol. Yeah H often isn’t home before the baby is in bed which definitely sucks but I just can’t with the over tired baby. If I keep him up he is just a mess by the time H gets home so not really fun bonding for H anyway. Why are babies such stinkers?

I broke my good sleeper 😭😭😭😭 we were out at dinner and she fell asleep. When we got her home, she definitely thought it was morning time and then sort of cat napped all night.
Oh well. Maybe this will be her nap reset and she’ll develop some kind of schedule?!? Maybe?!
Time to watch Coco for the thousandth time and get some cleaning done. I need to get on a cleaning schedule bc everything backs up to Sunday and it’s overwhelming. And we’re jusy living out of laundry baskets which I ABSOLUTELY HATE but I can’t get ahead.
