Not sure if anyone on here is on the southeast coast but we’re expecting Hurricane Florence in a few days and while we don’t normally consider leaving during hurricanes, we may actually leave this time. Right now it’s a Cat 4 but we’re hoping it’ll slow to a Cat 2 or lower before hitting us so we can stay put.

What I was afraid was the start of PUPPS is actually... Can barely type it here... Bed bugs!! :-o maybe from the upholstered nursery chair? Or the most recent hotels we went to were Niagara falls and DC in June. DH found a few bites on him today (I've got at least a dozen) so we searched the bed and the dog's bed and found nine juicy bed bugs of varying sizes. Threw out quite a bit and DH is laundering everything now. My sister went through this in Chicago last year so has good advice for us. Just trying not to let my mind go to how icky it is. Praying it's a really mild case and will be over soon!

hrh sunshiney Thanks ladies. I really hope it slows soon too. Even Walmart is closed today and the hurricane is still 2 days away. On a better note.. I felt baby on the outside last night! It was the best feeling ever! I’ve only felt a couple small movements in the last couple weeks but when I thought I felt baby last night I put my hand in the spot LO likes to hang out and felt a nice little kick/movement right to my hand, MH was quick and got to feel it too ❤️ I’m surprised I felt something on the outside so early, being only 17 weeks but I’m not complaining in the least! Bring on all the movements, kid!

Stay safe, cch! I finally wrangled my 3 yo DS and 16 month old DD into bed and rewarded myself with some Ben & Jerry's. I haven't figured out how I'm going to do solo bedtime with 3 kids on nights DH can't make it home in time...just thinking about it makes me sweat a little. I anticipate lots of apologies to the big kids for mom losing her temper!

I'm back! The cruise was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend to everyone. I have finally started to feel some movement from outside but it's not often. cch, Stay safe!! sunshiney, When we lived with my parents, my niece brought home bed bugs from a friend's house down the street and it took FOREVER for them to finally go away completely. My dad called the exterminator finally but they told him he was already doing what they'd be doing. My niece is a slob of epic proportions so even when most of the house was bug free finally, there'd still find nests of them in her room. My dad found this stuff called Seven (I think) and that finally got rid of everything for good! It was a disaster.

thelittleredm oh that's awful! We're kind of minimalist, especially in the bedroom, so I'm just hoping we can keep it contained. DH is spending all his free time vacuuming out every possible surface and crack obsessively and laundering everything daily. Thankfully a close inspection of all living room upholstery hasn't shown any evidence that they've made their way out there. The boarding school I worked at had an infestation years ago and they still have to do annual treatments, it's so expensive!

strawberrykiki lots of back pain here too. It seems like every other bump app article is reminding us back pain is the most common pregnancy symptom. Weekend plans include: have sex again (woohoo!). Do Some cooking together (just did our budget and realize we spent twice as much as usual on groceries and restaurants the last couple months between my cravings and not being up to cooking!). Go to the park or at least a walk in the neighborhood.

sunshiney yay for sexy time! I’ve spent a TON of money on food since I’ve been pregnant too. The first few months I had to plan my food like five minutes before I ate it because I felt so sick all the time. Now I’m just generally hungry and want to eat everything!

I've also spent a ton of money on food in the past 4 months. I'm eating out more, buying snacks/drinks out all the time, buying convenience items (pre-chopped veggies, heat & eat stuff), and cooking from scratch much less. And the amount of food I eat has greatly increased too. All makes for a $$$ grocery bill.
I'm hoping to take DD apple picking this weekend. Other than that, I'm going to a prenatal yoga class and just doing normal household catch-up stuff.

Finally, the weekend! I know I've had a short work week but man. It's been hellish playing catch-up. We're headed out to the Brazilian grill tonight and then I work again tomorrow. I'm so frustrated with our Saturday schedule. They increased our Saturday open hours by 2 hours and it sucks so bad. Almost no one comes in on Saturdays and now I'm stuck wasting my day when more. I swear, they pay more for us to be there than they usually bring in.

@amc that sucks. We had to move while I was pregnant last time and it wasn't fun at all. Good luck and get all the help you can get with packing, etc.

@amc that sucks! We moved a few years ago when I was 35weeks with DD and it was rough. I can’t imagine moving so far while pregnant with two littles. Having movers will definitely make things so much easier for y’all though! Hopefully the move will take place sooner rather than later. Hugs!

H was active military when we had DS1. We actually didn't think he'd be back from deployment in time and just rolled our eyes at their "If we're not back, he'll get leave privileges" promise. I moved back home while he was gone so I wasn't on my own. He got back to the states before DS1 arrived but was stuck across the country in their rehab/how to be a civilian again training. He barely made it home. Like, I still think DS1 was waiting for him because he was born less than 24hr after H finally got to take his post-deployment leave and be with us.

@amc how stressful! Hopefully you get answers and specifics so you can plan as best as you can +1 to excessive food. Our shopping bills have climbed, takeout and convenience foods have increased. Hoping to get back on track so we can save as much as possible for maternity leave
