O has been waking at 5:45 the past 2 weeks or so, but this morning I heard his talking on the monitor but ignored it because it wasn’t crying and he fell back asleep until 7:15🙌🏻

Anyone's baby had a stomach bug yet? L went to bed at 8 but vomited everywhere a half hour later and kept projectile vomiting after we got her cleaned up. I talked to the on call doctor and she just said to feed her if she seems hungry and keep an eye out for dehydration. I'm so nervous to put her back down to bed. 😩

That sounds really miserable. I hope she feels better soon. Anxiety about putting them to bed is the worst. I hope you both get a good nights sleep

calendula DD1 got one when she was really little but did surprisingly well - it was like 18 of vomiting then she seemed fine for a day then she randomly threw up once or twice. I was freaking out but she pulled through without any need to go to the dr. Thy just kept telling me to make sure she wasn’t lethargic or dehydrated. I made them explain the differ nice between just sleepy/sick and lethargic & dehydrated. Lethargic = not following you/your voice, limited response to touch/temperature change, very difficult to wake, barely eating or no interest at all in eating. Dehydrated: very few/no wet diapers, eyes appear sunken, skin looks less plump, etc.

leatherpants I ended up calling back and asking if it was OK to buckle her into the RnP by my bed for the night, and the doc said yes it was a good idea. I felt a little more comfortable knowing she was at an incline and wouldn't choke it she vomited again. She slept for an hour or so in DH's arms and then slept until 4, thank god. I checked her throughout the night. At 4, she was hungry and had a wet diaper, both good signs, and ate a small bottle. I sat up holding her for an hour after as she slept, just to be sure, but she was fine. She woke again at 6 in a great mood. Like nothing had happened. Leaf 🌱 that is super helpful, especially the lethargic description. I too would have a hard time discerning whether she was just sleepy. Thank you!

L is off to preschool this morning. He got excited to see his name on the hook for his backpack and walked in without a second look at us.
Now. If the baby would just nap, all would be well in the world

The three year old is have crazy separation anxiety. Screaming fits when one of us leaves the house without her. I’m exhausted.

O’s Halloween costume came in yesterday and I’m dead. Why are babies in costume so damn cute?!

L is still costume-less for Halloween. H has ideas but I’m not a fan. I keep watching my local moms sale group and there are lots of costumes for sale, but nothing has caught my eye yet.

Carters has an even better sale today than this weekend when I bought baby’s. Like $16 now.

I think the sleep training has been working. Today I got 2 solid naps (ok I had to go in half way through the first one to resettle). Our problem is the 3rd nap which he is outright rerefusing in the PnP. I have been wearing him to get his cat nap but that aligns with daycare pickup for DS1. Part of me wants to keep doing the catnap in the carrier so that I don't have another DS1 who will only sleep in his crib/bed at least until he drops the catnap.
We are still getting one 4 hr stretch at night followed by 2 2-3 hour stretches. Sometimes it is a struggle to get him back down and sometimes it is easy (3 am wake up took 40 min). I just want him to sleep through the night or only wake up once.

I’ve forgotten what sleep is like. Neither kid will do it.

I’m sorry for everyone struggling with sleep. Lack of sleep is no joke. I’m struggling this week too. We’ve gone from one wake up at 4:30 am to now he’s been awake at 2 am the last two nights. I’m so tired.
On a positive note, DS1’s first day of school yesterday went great!! He was nervous (he told me in the morning that school was broken so he couldn’t go 😂), but then we got there and he ran into the classroom and didn’t look back. He was happy when I picked him up and he asked to go back all afternoon yesterday. I hope he continues to love it.

I'm scared to post this. E has been asleep for over an hour which is a new bedtime record. Crossing all my fingers and toes right now.

We were doing pretty good with sleep and then he went to waking up like clockwork at 1130, 230 and 530. And then up for the day at 830.
I’m honestly ok with the 230 and 530 - especially if that gets us an 830 wake up. But that 1130 feed is the worst. I either stay up for it or I juuuuust fall asleep and he’s awake.

Oh hi, I’m here.
Well I hate that we’re all in the same boat but I feel better knowing A is not the only one not sleeping through the night. I really hate the 2-3 wake ups though. 1.... please?! 1?!
Also would like to have the excuse to put on an air conditioner.... I had to put the furnace on this morning.

In the morning I’m getting my hair cut for the first time since the day before O was born! I definitely want some length off but I’m considering bangs too. Im in a wedding next Saturday though so I don’t want to make a huge change and then hate it😬

Im in a wedding next Saturday though so I don’t want to make a huge change and then hate it😬 I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago and she ended up taking off more than I had planned. I wasn’t sure I liked it at first, but now I love it. It was a nice change from the biting trim I usually get. Bangs... those are a different story. Have you had bangs before?
