I’m so so sorry Bluebird. I’ve been there. There are truly no words. Be kind to yourself, and take time to grieve. I’m sending you the biggest internet hug.

Hey guys! It’s transfer day! I’m actually sitting here in the room waiting for them to set it all up.
Out of our 3 embryos, 2 look good (1 is hatching and we’re transferring it, the other will be frozen), the 3rd one they will let grow until tomorrow to see if it meets freeze requirements.
I really wish my RE was here but it’s another one, otherwise all is good (except I really have to peeeee!).

Bluebird, I am so very, very sorry to hear of this. What were the abnormalities if I may ask? Personally, we had a monosomy 21 and an elongation of the long-arm of the 5th (both of those being incompatible)

Just got the call that the 3rd embryo caught up so they were able to freeze 2! The one we transferred was already hatching so all looks good

Since I’m here I’ll update to say we are officially cycling. Today was cycle day 1 and finishing up estrace. My injections arrive tomorrow just barely in time. I have already been on a roller coaster of emotions and I haven’t even gotten to the hard part yet. Any tips for remaining calm are welcome.
I’ll do my best to get more active.

Honestly, the anticipation was one of the harder parts. Once I was in the thick of it, doing injections and appointments all the time, it wasn't so bad. Just try to keep busy, in your down time get into a new show or book, if you have a hobby do that. Make plans for your weekends etc. The more you can keep your mind off it the better. Will you still be googling random IVF shit when you should be asleep? Sure, but hopefully the rest of the time you'll be okay. Also, make a list of questions on your phone for your appointments. I hated walking in there knowing that there was something I wanted to ask but couldn't remember. As for injections, is this your first time? What meds are you taking? I googled a ton which some people will say isn't a good idea BUT I was really glad to know which meds to expect to hurt etc.

I’m already taking your advice to write down questions in anticipation for tomorrow’s appointment. Yes, this is my first IVF cycle and first time with injection medication. I’ve previously had 6 failed IUIs.I handled those much better because the cost was so much less. I’m not afraid of the injections, just the cost and emotional side effects. We are 100% OOP so the cost is freaking me out. The meds alone we’re just under $6,000!!! I’m so worked up about spending all this money and it not working. As for meds, it will be gonal f and menopur.

champagne, you can do this! My advice is to not dwell on the financial aspect while you’re cycling. Yes, it’s a lot. We were OOP too, trust me, I get it. But the cost isn’t going to change while you’re stressing about it, so while cycling tryi to focus on self care and minimizing stress. I found that Menopur burned going in. Gonal F wasn’t bad, though it does smell funny. Icing the injection site before the shot helped with the Menopur burn a bit. I like charliefox’s suggestion to write down your questions. Also, if your nurses let you email them, do it! I email my nurse with all my random questions.

I go in tomorrow for baseline ultrasound and should be starting meds tomorrow night. Tomorrow is cycle day 3 and normally the baseline would be CD2 but they couldn’t get me in today. Of course I’ve been stressing about it not being right but the nurses have assured me it’s fine. Being more active on here is helping a lot. I appreciate the encouragement.

Small update... We got the PGS results and our one lonely embryo is abnormal. I'm not sure what the problems were, we meet with the RE on October 1. I could probably email the nurse, but it doesn't really matter at this point.
We still have one untested embryo from a previous cycle, which could be it, so I'm trying to stay positive. It's pretty difficult though. I need to have some polyps removed, which will happen mid October, and then we will transfer in November.

We’ve decided to do another round. I can’t take the heartbreak if it doesn’t work, but I also can’t seem to call it quits yet.

Bluebird, I totally get the decision. Through all of this I just keep asking myself what I would think looking back, would I regret not doing x, y, or z? So many hugs. Are you going right into another cycle or waiting? skidevil87, Woot!! FX! I'm over here testing out my trigger which always seems to hang on forever. I really wish it would just go away so then I could take a break and test next week when results would be more definitive but my body just can't seem to let go of the trigger so I'll probably just be testing everyday which is stressful and (if eventually positive) anticlimactic.

charliefox, I’m sitting out my current cycle and then we will start prepping for a November retrieval. I need a little break, but we need to do everything this calendar year for insurance.

Unfortunately I'm back ****trigger warning****
After two great betas, pregnancy ended in m/c. The clinic was terrible about it. I called after the bleeding and when they called the next day she said they wouldn't do another beta because I was too far along for it to be accurate (not even 5 weeks). They wanted to wait until ultrasound on the 24th since they said you wouldn't be able to see anything before then (would be over 7 weeks). My sister had to go to her doctor and she agreed to do a beta but the nurses gave her a hard time and sent it this week. Beta came back 23. The nurse who called me today with results called me by the wrong name the entire conversation. So now that we finally got it confirmed I can stop meds (after taking them a week longer than I needed to) and go for a repeat beta in a week to make sure its 0. I'm hoping we can try again in October, and hopefully third time is a charm for us. I'm so angry with the clinic and just want to be done with them, unfortunately it's a funded cycle so we can't just leave.

Sorry for being such a downer.
I've been lurking and cheering you all on! I can't tag since I'm mobile and forget all the exact names, but know I'm hoping for the best for everyone.

charliefox fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted. wineandcupcakes I’m so sorry for your loss and the poor experience. That is terrible. As for me, Meds have been going well so far. I’m tolerating the shots really well. This place has been a good distraction for me.
