What does your baby do during the day? The only consistent thing we have going is DD2 falling asleep right before we need to leave to pick up DD1 😑

We have started sleep training so we are trying for two naps and a cat nap. So far DS2 has refused the cat nap in his crib every day at a time that would allow me to get DS1 (also at a time that he should be tired). He will however sleep in the baby k'tan.

Wake up, eat, hang out in his room until DD wakes up. Once she’s up we head downstairs and I’ll make breakfast. His first nap is always about an hour after he wakes up.
After that it’s pretty much a crap shoot😂
Bedtime is at 7pm. And that’s all I’ve got.

So we are all basically killing the EASY schedule. Everyone is enjoying all their easy to find YOU time right?
DS2 refused to sleep in the baby k'tan this afternoon for daycare pick up. At least he was relaxed. On to of that it took 40 min to get a 35 min nap for nap #2 today.

Ok good. Glad to see we’re all on the same page 😂😂😂 I would have sworn DD1 was on a solid nap schedule by now but she was such a shit night time sleeper that I think she napped more during the day to make up for it. I’m struggling to get anything done with the two of them at home and no naps to rely on.

Uuuuh ya. Wakeup is 6:30-7 and bedtime is 7. We just got consistent with bedtime in the last couple weeks because I want to do sleep training. Otherwise he consistently naps for < an hour.

I'm glad to know we aren't the only ones not on a schedule yet. We are a mess at night too. Things will slow down for us next week so I'm going to start working on a schedule then. My main focus is to get her napping in her crib or PNP. Anywhere but on me.
It's just so hard to get on a good schedule with her being the second baby. D1 goes to school 3 days a week and she usually will take a morning nap in the car when we drop her off but wakes up immediately when we get home. Or I try to run errands after drop off and sometimes she will sleep if I'm wearing other times not.
On the days D1 is home our plans are always different and naps are mostly in the car/stroller/Tula.

On weekends, he wakes around 6:30-7, then it’s waketimes of about 2-2.5 hours with 45-90 min naps, mostly 45 min. Which still ends up being 4 naps per day. Bedtime is 7:45 or 8. Sometimes we have to force that last cat nap or wake him early if it gets too close to bedtime. I really wish we could get to 3 longer naps. When he’s awake, he just rotates between the activity center and playing on the floor in various rooms with some snuggles thrown in and me holding him while I do things around the house.

Okay, I'm relieved we aren't the only ones not on a solid 2 or 3-nap schedule. And ditto cp3 with it being hard to get on a good schedule with this one being a second baby. We have a tentative schedule that basically shakes out to 4ish naps a day. Wake around 7:30-8, first nap begins sometime between 9:30-10:30 and is anywhere from 5-40 minutes. Second nap starts anywhere between 11:30am-12:30pm and is also 5-40. Afternoon I try really hard to get a chunkier nap - I usually get him down around 2pm and immediately go do DS1's naptime. The baby usually does 30-40 minutes for this one, then if I nurse him (and usually keep him on me) I can get him to sleep for another 30-60 minutes. At that point it's usually about 4pm and there's no way he can make it till 8:30pm bedtime. I let him get the tiniest of catnaps around 6-6:30pm that I literally cap at 5-8 minutes. Gets him to bedtime without breaking everything. DS1 did these crap short naps too but was even more of a hot mess. If he was awake he was fussy or crying. So I guess I shouldn't complain too much about DS2. I cannot wait for the one-nap schedule. It's my favorite.

We don’t have a schedule either. About the only thing that is consistent is that he wakes up for a bottle at 4:30ish almost every morning and then takes forever to fall back to sleep. Bedtime is usually between 8 and 9. He usually gets up around 6:30 or 7:00 and goes about 2-2.5 hours between naps. He has been taking 2 or 3 naps at daycare. They usually are 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

Oh and what he does during the day. Of course eat, sleep change which all include some peek-a-boo, cuddles, songs, books. He does a lot of rolling around on a blanket playing with toys. When he gets over stimulated he goes in his Leaf seat with his taggy and a teether for some secure chill time and he sits there and talks quietly. In between times when he's bored I will pick him up and carry him outside to see the dog or get the mail or now have him practise sitting.

B wakes up between 7 and 830 and then goes down for his first nap about an hour and a half after waking for about an hour and a half.
And then it’s anybody’s guess from then on out. And our mornings are about to get all out of whack when preschool starts next week. So. Pandemonium over here

I am so jealous of all your babies that wake up at a reasonable times in the morning. If L wakes after 4:30 it is a crap shoot of whether he will go back down. If he does go back down it is usually until 5:30 or 6 at the very latest.

We're usually up by 7. She is consistently ready for her first nap by 9:30 which is when I'm usually trying to leave the house. If we don't have any plans I try to put her down in the crib. It's worked the last 4/5 days and I've gotten at least 45 minutes with the longest being 2.5 hours. Fingers crossed this trend continues. The rest of the day is pure chaos. We start her bedtime routine at 6. It's earlier than I'd like but she's freaking out if we push it later and then it's harder to get her down.

Wake at 6, first bottle Mid morning catnap (around 30 min usually) Bottle at 9:30 Bottle at 12:30 Nap (around 1 hr) Bottle at 3:30 Catnap around 5 Bottle at 6 Dinner at 6:30 (purée) Bedtime bottle at 8
Pretty consistent whether she is at daycare or home. Anytime she isn't eating or sleeping, she is on her activity mat, in her jumpy, or sitting on the floor with her boppy playing with toys. Or in her car seat shuttling her brother around.

This thread makes me feel way better about the fact that naps are so inconsistent for us.
Wake up is usually between 6-6:30 am, with one MOTN feeding around 3:30-4 am. I am not a morning person so I don’t love 6 am. Bedtime - if I’m home, it starts around 7 pm. The days I work I don’t get home until 7, so we start at 7:30.
Naps are so inconsistent. We are firmly at 3 a day but time and length vary daily. He won’t nap longer than 30-40 minutes in his crib so that’s annoying. At least when I’m home. DH says he naps great when I’m at work.
The rest of the day, we rotate between the bouncer, the jumper, and the play mat. We work on sitting and pushing up into a crawl position. Or we are on the go and he’s in the stroller.
I’m also the worst. We keep saying we will try solids and we haven’t. Need to get on that.

Schedule, what schedule? 😀 Boob naps until college around here. He goes to bed around 9pm in the RNP , but wakes up to feed 2-3x a night. Up around 8am. Naps last for 45 minutes on me. Forget about napping in the PNP or RNP.
When he is awake, alternate playmat and bouncer chair. Or running errands in the car seat and stroller.

We have pretty consistent days now. Wake-up time in the morning is anywhere between 6-7am so that affects whether she needs a quick catnap at around 4pm. But otherwise a typical day looks like:
Wake up: 6:30am First nap: 7:30-9am Second nap: 10:15-noon Third nap: 1:20-3pm Nap in the stroller: 4-4:30 "Dinner" at 5:30pm for her, then she sits in her high chair or bumbo and watches us at at around 6 Bedtime routine starts at around 6-6:15 Asleep for the night around 6:30pm and no overnight wakings anymore.
My baby is extremely tired. 1 hour 20 minutes is her max awake time between naps, any longer and she becomes an overtired mess (other than her awake time before bed, she seems to be able to stay awake longer then).
When she's awake she gets fed and changed, and then I rotate her between play mat, bumbo, jumper, or play pen. Or she sits up on my lap outside while we watch her big brother play.
ETA: if she sleeps until 7, we can usually manage for her third nap to end at around 4pm and then she's down for the night at 6pm.

+a million for having no schedule. Poor second baby. With E it was like "do not invite us to do anything that will throw up nap schedules, we will not come". With N it's like, "eh she'll nap in the solly".
She usually wakes up anywhere between 7:30-9. Then goes to sleep between 7-9. And naps intermittently throughout the day.

This thread is cracking me up. E used to be so good at naps and that has gone away completely. I usually got a pretty consistent 9 or 10am hour nap and then she would take about a 2 hr nap in the afternoon. Then shoot for starting bedtime around 7. She had been fighting naps hard here lately. Unless she is firmly attached to my boob. Which is hard and just leaves me feeling guilty that I am doing nothing. But she is also so sweet.
She is an amazing night time sleeper though so I am super thankful for that. And if she's being especially cranky and has refused to nap then I just lay her down super early.
