Ahh 5:00 am. My favorite time to clean up vomit and try to give Tylenol to a screaming baby. I did that yesterday. You have ALL my sorrys. 😞 So I let ds cry himself to sleep after three hours of inconsolable baby time. It took almost an hour but he’s now sleeping. Everyone is awake and our day typically starts around now. I’m tempted to wake his little butt up and help get him with the program by resetting his clock a bit. Will I regret that? My typically thought it never ever ever wake a baby. I feel like if he is sick, he might need to catch up on the rest. Sleep begets sleep at this age, IMO. Ugh sorry for the sick babies. I am already dreading winter!

I hope all of the sick babies feel better soon. Both of my sons spiked fevers at some point in the last 4 days. The fever for both of them lasted about 24 hours and then was gone and they both seem fine now. DS2 has a rash on his face. I am guessing it is a drool rash because he still spits up a ton so he always has wet clothes or bids on, and he rubs them on his face. I made an appointment for Tuesday just in case, but I am hoping we can cancel it.
I had terrible back pain yesterday and ended up going to the doctor because I got the hiccups and it felt like my back and ribs were going to break with every hiccup. Thankfully it was nothing major, likely just some pulled muscles. The doctor did confirm that I have some carpal tunnel. I also was able to talk to him about how I have been feeling very depressed lately, so we made some medication adjustments.
One other thing, I am dreading getting DS1 to daycare/preschool this year because I think most days are going to be a battle. This is his current teacher's last week. DS1 has already decided that he doesn't like his new teacher and that she is boring.

I'm sorry to hear about all the sick littles! We've all been passing a cold around for about a week.
We figured out a dairy and soy intolerance pretty early on but I still feel like there is something else I'm missing. Then on Tuesday, she broke out in a rash after I ate raw shrimp. I called the doctor and she doesn't want to give a referral to an allergist unless she reacts after eating something directly. I think that's stupid so I'm going to keep pushing.

I hope all of the sick babies are feeling better soon.
L has a cold or allergies and she is miserable. No fever just a cough and she is super congested. She basically screams unless I'm holding her. Luckily I got a long nap out of her today so I could workout and do a few things around the house.

We’ve had a interesting week so far. Monday got a new roof, Tuesday they finished and we had a bunch of PTO stuff at DDs school, yesterday morning when I got home from dropping her off at school I got a call from the nurse. DD hit her head on a table at school and has a big goose egg and bruise in the middle of her forehead. Today I got an email from her teacher saying she walked face first into a metal pole. I’m almost afraid what will happen tomorrow!

Uuuuuh so I just find out HFM is going around on our circle of family/friends/acquaintances. But school just started this week so nobody was discussing it and people just now caught on what it was so everybody was well exposed already. 😡 I am a little frustrated that people are not warning others that their kids are sick. I'm at MIL for the day doing canning and after I'm here I found out that everyone is contagious. BUT after discussing it we decided that DS already had it last week when I didn't know what he was sick with. All I knew he was quite warm and grouchy and had "rash" beside his nose. So now I am ???!!!?? about whether I should keep his cousins from messing with him.

I woke up with a horrible stomach ache. Both kids have had colds and now ds is complaining of an ear ache. Our doctor's office is closed on Fridays and it's a long weekend.

Our plumbing is all fucked up. Our tub backed up and wouldn’t drain last night. FIL who just retired is here once again to fix our mess of a house. Poor man. He accidentally broke our water line while cutting out a clogged pipe so we might be staying with them tonight. We JUST moved the toddler into a real bed and the baby into the crib last night, now we might be away for a night.

Ds has been doing this fun thing where he wakes up at 2am and won’t settle down until 530. He also gets up at 1130 to eat. We are up at 6 with the big kids so I am exhausted. In other news my big girls are with grandpa until tomorrow afternoon and we have a sitter for the little two. Dh and I got concert tickets through my job and are going out! I’m so excited I also found us the perfect house, in the wrong end of town (good area just farther out than I wanted), but the price is right. I’m hoping it just stagnates on the market and maybe we can buy it in two months. I hope we are ready to buy in two months 🤔

Spending the night at the in laws. 12 years I’ve avoided this but no water and a potty trainer is no bueno. I hope my kids sleep. I think the water should be back tomorrow though. 🤞🏻

Shoot, hang in there friends.
I’m trying not to get carried away with shopping for the boys with these Labor Day sales. Can I share what I’ve found so far? Let me know if I’m missing any places I should be shopping?
Gap/Baby Gap: 40% plus an extra 10% off Gymboree: 40-75% off plus an extra 30% off some things Target: 20% off all baby/toddler/kids apparel (plus 5% with Redcard) Ebates is doing double cash back on some places too.
I think we’re going to go ahead and get a crib for the baby. An ad preview site tells me that Target’s Sunday ad will have a coupon for a $40 gift card with a $200 baby furniture purchase.
I love finding deals 😬

I would be much more willing to buy from them if they had the same policies as they do in the US.

Stop! katietopaz I do not need to shop! ArielMermaid I am sorry! Lt was for excellent meme usage. I survived the canning salsa day but I'm dead. And DS and I both smell like cooked salsa.

The girls and I had a great today mostly because they both behaved so well. We tried out this music class at the library that's for babies and through age 5. Both girls loved it and the baby could even participate with little maracas.
We went out to lunch and to a few stores and no meltdowns from either. Mh went out to dinner with a friend so the girls and I had a movie night. D1 is in bed now and the baby thinks it's time to play and just keeps giggling while playing with her feet.
It's days like this that I really enjoy staying home with them. And make the bad days worth it.

stardust84 Oh that’s super frustrating. I think they’re struggling, they just did a big rebranding, so I’d imagine they aren’t super motivated to absorb those costs.

I looked into it before ordering but apparently it is a thing. We live close enough to the border that we could get it shipped to a PO box there and pick it up if I really cared. I am fine just going to the store.

I got some really cute stuff from Old Navy for E. Didn't need it, but it was really cute.
Poor ds has an ear infection I'm pretty sure. He woke up screaming and with a 103 fever so SO took him in.

Thanks guys. They got most of it done so we should be back in business sometime tomorrow. I’d like to be done with house projects for awhile now.
Carters has their Halloween costumes on sale. I got one for less than $20 for the baby with the code LABORDAY.

I’m supposed to be getting dressed but I’m currently laying in my bed. My mom has been sick and DH has worked a lot of OT so I’ve been juggling keeping on top of work and the baby and all the regular stuff. I need 15 minutes to adjust my attitude and find my patience for the day. DH needs to take me out for coffee or something. I’m irrationally annoyed at him anyways. I want him to take me out on a date but I don’t want to have to ask him to do it. /complaint.

Wahhh this has been not a great weekend so far. We drove to my parents Friday afternoon, then to my brother’s yesterday for the rest of the weekend. I think L is at the age where he is really noticing when we aren’t home. He’s not nursing well or sleeping well. Probably waking more to eat at night because he’s hardly eating during the day. And he’s been biting me again... with blood drawn. 😭 I don’t know if he’s too nosy to nurse or sleep, or maybe he’s just thrown off his routine with all the driving because he basically slept the whole 3 and 2 hour drives. We used to be able to go anywhere and he’d just go with the flow. I miss those days. Ok done complaining.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

clementine that sucks I’m sorry. Ouch at the blood! DS is a super distracted nurser, he won’t really feed when we’re out it’s so annoying. At home I have to feed him in a dark quiet room every time or he’s just too busy to feed then gets pissed that he’s hungry/hangry.

Yep add my kid to the distracted nursing club. He stared at DH the whole time he was nursing at Chipotle tonight.
We are headed to camp and hike near Lake Placid for the holiday. Looks looks we'll be setting up in the dark.

+whatever to the distracted nurser. He has the worst FOMO. If his big brother is around, it’s a constant cycle of latch, suck a few times, and pop off to crane around and see what DS1 is up to.
We bought a crib for DS2 this weekend. It’s set up in our room because hooray 2-bedroom home and we aren’t ready for the boys to share. Tonight is his first night in it and he’s been up twice already. I don’t know if he’s just getting used to the mattress or if it’s a coincidence, but I hate playing the sleep guessing game.

We switched to the crib today n his room this week. Total accident bc I had to put him somewhere while dealing with his sick sister. I figured if he’s going to cry he might as well be farther away. So far he’s still up every 2-3 hours and settles down about half the time right away otherwise I’m now climbing stairs to reinsert the plug.
