What are your favorites?
I’m looking for some ideas for Christmas and birthdays coming up! Bonus points if they’re something unique and not your standard Brown Bear, Brown Bear or Dr. Seuss.

I love the Hairy Maclary books by Lynley Dodd. Hairy Maclary's Bone, Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy, Schnitzel Von Krumm's Basketwork, Slinky Malinky, Scarface Claw. I have never seen or heard of them in North America except for the public library I grew up going to in B.C.. I order the hardcover copies from Abebooks but I think you can get softcover from Amazon. I will come back with a few favorites more that aren't series tomorrow. Eta a link for Slinky Malinki Slinky Malinki www.amazon.com/dp/0140544399/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_kjHGBbPWB7F7D

We're a big fan of Little Blue Truck books. I think there's 4 of them out now (Little Blue Truck, Leads the Way, Christmas and a fall/Halloween, I think). They're short and super cute.

He really liked Mortimer when he was younger and it was fun to read

They're short and super cute. +1 DS1 has loved these books. Check to see if there is Dolly Pardon Imagination Library in your area that you can enroll in. Children get free books every month until their 4th Birthday. Some of our favorite books have come from that. Once I get home I will add titles of some of our favorite books.

DD loves the Little Penguin has the hiccups!
Right now she’s on a Fancy Nancy kick. The books aren’t too bad and it teaches some French words because she loves France.
Steam Train, Dream Train
Giraffes Can’t Dance and the Pout-pout fish were some other favorites when she was a little younger.

Press Here is a fun one for the 2-5 set. Bonus, if you're giving it as a gift, there is also a Press Here board game you can pair with it.

auri how old is your DD? Mine also loves Fancy Nancy (she just turned 3) and will “read” them to me. I love when she says the French words in conversation. Yesterday she told me lunch was “fantastique”🤣
