Yes I’m still using the bucket seat... It’s almost time to install the convertible because she wakes up when I move her.
So I was in contact with work and I don’t have my schedule yet, I have to go back to shift work. I’m going to have to see if there is something on the upcoming shift bid that will work for me. DH wants me to take a morning shift so I can be home for bedtime on the days I work but I think I want afternoons so I can get out of bedtime a few days a week and do mornings instead. Is that wrong?

I went out for after bedtime apps with friends last night. It felt so good to get out for a little bit. Of course i came home to a wide awake baby, because when he woke up DH didn't even try to get him back to sleep, just took him out to the other room and hung out with him for half an hour until i got home, so DS2 was convinced that bedtime had been a nap and he didn't need to go back to sleep. It took me an hour or so to convince him otherwise. At least DS1 didn't wake up for the first night in a while.

Here's my little helper climbing in and out of the laundry basket as i was folding clothes yesterday. Side note, any tips on moving the potty upstairs? We can go days and nights on end without an accident and i don't want to mess with that, but i would like to not have a potty in my front room for the rest of my life.

My best attempt at photographing the tooth. If you look very, very hard it's right next to the USB cable in her mouth lol

More song lyrics hilariously misheard by my 4 year old:
Choco-berry, choco-berry, choco-berry, choco-berry! (Funky town, “talk about it, talk about it....”)

Getting life organized for when I go back to work (in 2 weeks 😳)! DH is taking the last five weeks of our parental leave this time around. So I called the EI office this morning to confirm we had all the correct paperwork etc. And then DD and I made morning “to-do” lists and a list for the back door of what all needs to get taken along (to preschool and to my parents/ILs once DH’s leave is up). Luckily our transitions are all in stages. I start work a week before DD starts preschool. And then it’s a few weeks to get into that routine before our regular “normal” (I work wed-fri and DH will have to do preschool drop off wed and fri, then take DS to my/his parents, thurs is just one drop off because no preschool). I always get stuff organized the night before but he is less organized than me, especially in the mornings and I’m trying to minimize the chance of stuff getting forgotten!

Is like 74 degrees and perfect here. DD2 loves to swing and could do so for hours. I think we spent 25 minutes here just watching others play.

August Blooms I don’t think selfish at all to want some nights “to yourself”. My H is not super comfortable with bedtime for LO since usually nurse to sleep and DD1 prefers me at bedtime as I do way more songs and cuddles but I think everyone could make the adjustment and be fine. Would the afternoon shift be a permanent thing or could you do like a trial run for a few weeks to see how it goes?

The problem is DH could potentially get stuck at work late because he’s a manager but he also needs to be in at certain time to run a meeting. I keep running scenarios but short of us winning the lottery there’s good solution. Shift work + long commute = stress

Hi! No pics 😔 I barely have time to play with the baby these days.
He’s moving back to the infant class after a week in the 1s because there’s a biter and the director is worried DS2 will be targeted since he’s youngest. He was bit twice today. Poor thing didn’t even cry when it happened. He was just so confused.

I know its just another child who doesn't totes know what hes doing but I'm still mad for your babe.

DS1 started kindergarten today! He did great. He was ready and excited and I was not emotional at all.

@tnt the: potty in your living room, I swore I’d never do that but we had a little potty in our family room for a while w DS2. One night we had people over and I moved it and never put it back. It took him a day or so or running to where it was and then pivoting to the bathroom but it worked out.

curmudgeon Sorry about your baby getting bit! I’m glad they’re thinking about his safety and moving him back to the infant room. LO continues to not sleep all that well, and he is nursing a ton at night. I am thinking it’s either teeth or a growth spurt. He had the heavies wet diaper ever this morning...and it even did 2 MOTN changes on top of that! I hope we’re not getting back into reverse cycling. Ugh.
