So how was everyone's sleep training/crib transition last night?
Faith was sound asleep in her crib shortly after 7:00 (not great sleep at daycare and no nap at home) and slept until 5:00 when she decided it was time to play. I brought her to our bed to snuggle her back to sleep but it only partially worked. I need to see what we can do to get her to sleep better at daycare.

I think I am going to need to buy another crib 🙈 J is still sleeping in the RNP/PNP bassinet and my 2.5 year old is not even close to being ready for a big girl bed. She's such a crappy sleeper.
Has anyone broken their kid of a bedtime bottle yet? I didn't take it away from DD2 until 14 months or so and it was hell. I need to do it earlier with J but it is so tempting to keep it when it gets her to sleep so easily!

We haven’t had to do sleep training, luckily he’s a pretty good sleeper. But he’s definitely going through a growth spurt and getting up a couple times a night to eat. I would like my sleep back 😢
Good luck to everyone sleep training!

I am attempting the baby’s second ever crib nap. So far, no good. He is usually passed out in the pnp by now. He is just crawling around his crib and having a good time. I need him to sleep. G isn’t sleeping either. She is so crabby. She needs a nap today.

Hi all! The crib transition went very well I think! I had him asleep in the crib by 8:45. He woke up at 12 and 3 but just nursed for a few minutes each time and was back asleep, and stayed asleep until 8:15 this morning. So only two wakeups- instead of the every two hours we were having the past week! I did nurse him to sleep each time, and when we put him in at 8:45, but I thought of the advice from aprilz81 and changing only 1 thing at a time, which I think is a good plan! We can figure out nursing to sleep another time. He falls asleep by himself in the crib for all his naps so I know he can do it. Thanks for everyone's help yesterday! I'm crossing my fingers that tonight is another good night.

Our crib transition went pretty well also! She was in her crib around 8:30, and woke up at 11:45 and 5:30. Then slept until 8:00. I nursed her to sleep all three times, but I’m not really looking to change that right now. It takes a half an hour each time MOTN though, which seems really long. I do need to work on getting her to bed earlier because once I’m back at work she needs to be up by 6:30 so I can get to work on time.

DS2 was super cranky from shots but still slept 8-5:30. The pediatricusnbusnt concerned about his weight st all and thinks that currently he’s just going to be tiny (14 lbs 10 oz and 24 1/2 long). She said to just keep doing what we are doing and she also helped ease my mind on him not being able to do blw.
Question for anyone using a spectra pump. Do you feel like your pumps are inconsistent and leave you engorged at times? Plus I’m always having milk back up but if I unscrew the bottle it drains right in. I’m about ready to ditch it and go back to my Medela.

I'm glad your transition went well too. This is a silly FTM question but how long is it "OK" to nurse to sleep? I don't mind doing it at all right now especially in MOTN because it's so easy....I would much rather do that then have him up and crying. I know ideally for putting him to bed I should have him drowsy but awake but at least right now I am going to keep nursing to sleep until I need to change. The only downside is that it feels like that leaves most of the bedtime/MOTN routine to me, since DH can't put him to sleep as quickly!

The only downside is that it feels like that leaves most of the bedtime/MOTN routine to me, since DH can't put him to sleep as quickly! We did a lot of our transitions a lot earlier that you, but as long as it is working go for it. We transitioned out of our room and into the nursery (first in the RnP then in the crib) between 8-10 weeks. I gradually stopped nursing at all around 4 1/2 months when she started daycare, so that pretty much stopped the nursing to sleep issue. She still sometimes gets a bottle right before bed, but it depends on the timing of things. As far as MOTN goes, sleep is more important (in my opinion) than how it is achieved. When Faith gets up in the MOTN I give her a bottle and then rock her back to sleep and try to do the transfer without waking her up. That is getting harder and harder, which is why we are starting to sleep train. I will get up once to feed her and rock her, if she cries when I put her down I give her a pacifier and then she is on her own. Mama's going back to bed and turning down the volume on the monitor.

I know a lot of you have already hit this milestone, but my late February baby is six months today! sunfrogger DS got his first tooth last week. I wasn’t prepared, as DS1 got teeth quite late!

Were actually having tacos for dinner. Winning!
Arden popped a tooth on Sunday. Waiting for the second to make its appearance. I spent most of my free time today cleaning my big girls room. I’ve got a ways to go. They have accumulated way too much stuff.
And Arden can fall asleep by herself, but I generally nurse her right before nap and bed. Sometimes she is still awake for the transfer, sometimes not. But thus far it doesn’t seem to affect her sleep. She actually falls asleep in the crib for her first nap without nursing at all.
