Paging AmyG and anyone else who has advice DD is 15 weeks old and weighs 10lbs 11.5oz as of today. She is now in the 3rd percentile. Birth weight was 6lbs 7oz. She had a lip and tongue tie revision at 7.5 weeks old and has not taken a bottle since. We are in feeding therapy. She nurses about every 2.5 hours usually just one side or a couple minutes on 2nd side. Her longest night stretch is anywhere from 5-7 hours. She had slept 8+ hours 3x but not consistently. I pump after every first morning feed and get about 6oz. I’m starting to pump at night after her last feed to make sure my supply stays up. I’m due back at work in 10 days and I can leave work to nurse her in lieu of pump breaks as daycare isn’t too far away. But obviously I want her on a bottle. She is on Zantac for reflux but switching to Prevacid today. Since she won’t take a bottle I am at a loss of what to do to increase her weight. Dr definitely doesn’t want it to decline any more on the percentiles but says she looks healthy. Any advice on getting mor calories in her? Pic of the babe

Doesn’t sound like your supply is struggling. I’m guessing feeding therapy has ruled out any lingering transfer issues..? She’s having 6+ wet diapers a day? Just trying to play catch up on weight gain now?
I’m sorry these first few months have been such a struggle. LO is precious. I wish I had a clear answer or any suggestions other than nurse more & seek an IBCLC for help.

Hopefully others have some advice for you as I have limited experience. My first (DD) was only 5 pounds at birth and was slow to gain. We had to supplement with formula from 2 days on, so that is different from your case of bottles being a no go. With her for a long time we had to wake her to nurse every 2 hours around the clock. I know it isn’t ideal but have you tried to eliminate her long stretch to get more milk in her? It wouldn’t be my first choice, but if you could get an extra feed or two maybe it would help get her over the hump?? It sounds like you’ve tried everything, I hope someone can suggest something helpful.

So all I can offer is an anecdote. Ds1 was in the single percentiles until he was 6+ months old. His pediatrician always said as long as he stays/moves along his growth curve, we were fine. He hit all of his developmental milestones early or right on average. He's now in the upper 80 percentiles for height and 60s for weight at 3.5 years old. He was 6 lb 7 oz at birth and was down to 6 lbs when we left the hospital.
Re bottles: the only bottle I've gotten my second to take successfully was the comotomo. Expensive but worth it if it works.
Honestly if she is doing a decent stretch, wet diapers are good, and she seems satisfied, your supply is probably fine. Feeding therapy aside, some children gain slower than others. My first was a peanut and my second is gigantic.

Thanks grumpycat the only issue so far is she hasn’t stayed on her curve...she’s been declining. 20’s to teens to single digits. I guess if she stays on her curve from now on then it’s fine. And developmentally she is hitting milestones
