So, we've totally been dragging our feet in trying to "plan" who will watch DS when I go to deliver baby. My Aunt, who is our main babysitter, just reached out to let me know that she and my Uncle will be there for us to the best of their ability when the time comes. So thankful 💓 That's great! I had assumed we would drop DS off at my parents' house since they're roughly on the way to the hospital, but when I told them I was pregnant my mom informed me she's not getting home from a vacation until the 17th (I'm due the 20th). My dad seemed to think he could make it work so we'll have to double check with him, and should probably do that soon. My ILs would definitely take DS, but that would not be on the way if things start to move quickly. They would be the best option if we have to head to the hospital mid-day because 2 days a week DS is already at their house and the other 3 weekdays they're the closest to his daycare. I'll just have to make sure they have the address and directions. If DS has to stay somewhere overnight I would prefer my parents for the closer location to the hospital.

Since I’m having a planned c-section, one of the grandparents will stay with DD at our house for a couple nights. Not sure which grandparent to ask since they all get offended if they are not asked first 🤔.

@pixiepink 24 I’m sorry you are having a hard time with your H.
I still feel like I have forever until my delivery. But I think our plan is to have my mom watch M. She will probably just stay at our house. I’m hoping this will keep my mom out of the waiting room. Last time we told her to stay home and we would call her when we were ready. But she sat in the waiting room the whole afternoon, and I felt pressure to invite her in right away. I think we are going to buy her a car seat for her car so we don’t have to deal with anything like that.

I’m so sorry pixiepink24 🙁 No doubt you deserve to be treated better. What a crappy time for this to be coming to a head.

I've got my mountains done!!!
Drawn that is, not painted.
Still need to decide if I'll add in the teal, but I think I'll hold off on that decision until we paint all the rest of it and hang the teal curtains.

pixiepink24 I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now. Of course you deserve to be treated better! Do you think he would be willing to try therapy or counselling? If not it might be helpful to go on your own. Just know that whether or not your relationship with SO is able to recover, you are an amazing woman and an amazing mother and your kids are lucky to have you. tbirdlove congrats on getting the nursery started! Pic once it’s done?

My mom is in charge of DD when I’m in labour this time. My in-laws will be in Spain for two weeks right around when baby will be born, and my Dad will be at a music festival in Nashville. I’m thankful my mom is willing since she’s the only grandparent who’ll be around!

tbirdlove congrats on getting the nursery started! Pic once it’s done? Of course! I tried to take pics of the drawing but they're so hard to see no matter what lighting I tried.

I just tried some filters on the photos and one of them actually shows the penciling on the wall!! The filter blackens out a little of the edges and the other colors are all off, but you can at least kinda see the mountains a bit!

chriskooThank you! We were in therapy together for a few months earlier this year. It was nice but my insurance changed making it hard to find someone close by and in the time frame. Plus he's only been home 10 weeks this year which makes it hard to schedule anything. And to be honest, he is obviously a good liar and manipulator, so I can only imagine the lies he said to our therapist when one on one with her considering what I heard him say.... She was so dismissive to me and my concerns that are very valid concerns and red flags in relationships. I was a therapist for 5 years so I know. Which truly makes this all even more fucked up. I know better. I really don't see things working out but I hope we can co-parent well enough for these two kids.

pixiepink24, Just from the experience I have with my SS, I know my H and is ex get along way better not together. Separating was really the best for them and SS. However in the beginning I think it was a little rough- I knew them but obviously wasn't dating my H right away so I don't know all the details. I do know that it took a little while to get everything in order and running smooth. They were never married and I think that helped where they didn't have to go to court or add divorce complications. What I am trying to say is as scary as it may seem- if you think this is whats best it probably is and its totally doable. I am sorry you have to go through it all especially late in a pregnancy. Do you think your SO wants to separate as well? My H and his ex were both secretly on the same page with splitting up for awhile, they just didnt know it until one of them brought it up.

meggriffinThank you. I don't think he wants to separate, just because I've left so many times before and each time he's begging for me to come back and making all these promises that never get fulfilled. But who knows. 🤷♀️

justinbobby - I eat them while pregnant and my OB didn't question it when I told her I was looking forward to a Fenway Frank at a baseball game last pregnancy. We opt for no filler, preservative free ones when we cook them at home, but I'll still eat the occasional out and about no idea what's in them hot dog.

I'm having one of those days where I am already so fed up with the toddler (and most everything else for that matter). I feel bad for being so irritated and angry, but good lord. I know a lot of it is being uncomfortable and super hormonal and pregnant. Which has me looking forward to baby coming.... But then I've recently been feeling very nervous for the newborn phase because I realize that it's really just going to be a continuation of being super hormonal, likely overwhelmed and definitely sleep deprived. I'm counting down to the end of pregnancy, but then how many more weeks/months of struggle come after that?
I'm feeling.... Lots of things.

Big hugs tbirdlove. I definitely find myself getting more irritated lately although it seems to come out mostly as increased road rage for me. It happened when I was pregnant with DS too.

I failed both my 3 hr glucose and my 24 hour urine protein test. I'm waiting for a call back from my OB's office, but does anyone have experience in failing the protein test? I'm 27 weeks and Google is a scary place right now. Normal range is up to 106, and mine was at 310.

killertofu - I'm sorry the tests didn't go well. I don't have any experience to share but step away from Google!! I know it's hard to have a problem and no real information on it yet, and I hope you hear back from your OB soon, but Google will just scare you right now.

It could indicate pre-eclampsia if your BP is high in addition to high protein. It could also be a UTI. I hope your doc can give you some answers, try not to google too much, a lot of that information can be wrong without the right context.

I've been having red spotting the last two days hopefully just from a yeast infection I have, but it's stressing me out. Thankfully I have an nst today and they are going to check everything out while I'm there.
