What shows were you really into for the first season and let down by in subsequent seasons?
Brought to you by my disappointment in Crazy Ex Girlfriend season 2. The first season was so funny and on point, then they just went nuts in the second season and tried to shake things up too much. I'm bummed.

Revenge
Also thought HTGAWM and Scandal jumped the shark after a few seasons.
Quite Dexter in like season 5, maybe?
Did a season and a half or so of OITNB and lost it.
Made it to the "big reveal" in PLL before quitting when they did the time-hop.
I am not a loyal show follower, apparently.

Not after the first season, but both Alias and Bones made me ragey after season two.
Alias had this great format where they ended every episode with a cliffhanger. So instead of seeing all of episode 2, you were seeing the last half of episode one, and the first half of episode 2. Or whatever. Plus they started to go off the deep end with the Rambaldi story line and it was less spy drama and more tinfoil hats.
Bones upset me because Brennan was an actual relatable human being in the first two seasons. She cried, she laughed, she wouldn't have understood the blinds thread, but she that was because she was an academic. Then they wrote her into this weird robot person that was very clearly on the spectrum but without acknowledging that or exploring that in a meaningful way. Instead they just pretended she was quirky and I would cringe every time she spoke.

ONCE UPON A TIME- WHY DID IT GET SO BAD???? I still want to love that show, but I can't make it through anymore.
Pretty Little Liars was incredible (IMHO) and now is... yikes, but I will see this through to the end.

I quit Scandal once I started to love Mellie. It got too weird.
Leverage - I loved the first 2 seasons, but then it lost it's groove. I just wanted to see con people doing con things to bad people. Why is that so hard?
I know there are more.

We're so close to never having to suffer through another PLL episode again. I'm still working on Once Upon a Time. I've got like, 9 episodes on my DVR. It needs to end soon though.

I remember loving Heroes the first season and then for some reason lost interest right before the finale and never went back.

I can't remember what seasons I gave up on most of these, it was probably after the first though. It takes me a while to ditch a show.
Switched at Birth The Fosters Arrow The Originals The Vampire Diaries. I think I skipped an entire season or two, but I did watch the final one. Hart of Dixie - I eventually finished this one, just not in real time. The 100 Hell on Wheels - I finished but it took some time to get through the final season.
I'm sure there's more.

First Season: True Blood (far too much deviation from the books and crazy shit), Once Upon a Time (I will still watch it if there's nothing else available) cassafrass, I'm still holding out hope for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She went off the deep end in season 2 and they had been doing a somewhat decent job at discussing mental health issues. She seemed manic to me for most of the season and I am hopeful that they will get back into the narrative from season 1. However, the ending of season 2 does not bode well in terms of being in a healthier space. Just my two cents. I'll still watch season 3 though.

But yeah I really didn't like or care about Brennan by the end. Season 1 Sleepy Hollow Orphan Black-nothing wrong with it I just never cared enough to go back and watch the next seasons Blindspot-started out so well and had an interesting plot but I was so bored by the way they started going with it. It wasn't the first season (maybe season 3?) but Person of Interest. It just went way to far into the over the top secret conspiracy group out to get them.

I love love love the music and song writing. But I'm just so sad like it got really weird and I miss Greg! I wish he hadn't left.

I loved The Following for one season. It lost me in the second season, though I did try. Same with Justified. Also The Man In The High Castle.
I think more often I love season 1 and season 2 is good/decent, and then season 3 is almost unwatchable. The OC was good for 2 seasons but that was all. I can't stand House of Cards past season 2. Same with OITNB.
Dexter was an interesting series because I loved season 1, I was there for season 2, and then I wished season 3 had never aired, but season 4 was possibly one of the best seasons of any show I've ever watched. After that...eh.

I had to quit the Vampire Diaries after they went to college. I did watch the finale and had no idea what was going on. But was glad I gave up based on what I saw.

Oh I remembered another one. Covert Affairs-maybe season 3? I used to watch for shirtless Augie, because lets be honest it was always horrible but I just couldn't handle the over the top cheesiness from "Annie" anymore.

I will agree that True Blood got really ridiculous, but it started a little ridiculous.

I'm also looking at you for that Buffy.

+1 HTGAWM and Scandal. Shonda knows how to kill a plot.
