Anyone have a favorite? I’m dairy free right now but I can substitute ingredients.
Or other ways to boost supply? I feel like it’s dropping a little bc my morning pump session isn’t getting as much.

I just make oatmeal cookies and add brewers yeast. But what kind of decrease are you noticing? It’s probably supply regulating or needing to replace pump parts.

lily my pump is brand new so I don’t think it’s that. Maybe my supply is just regulating.

lily my pump is brand new so I don’t think it’s that. Maybe my supply is just regulating. Most pumps have valves or membranes or duckbills that need changing monthly (or thereabouts depending on pump usage) to maintain appropriate suction. Needing to replace those is the most common cause of sudden noticeable decrease in pump output. But you are right around supply regulation time so that has a high likelihood too 😊

are you drinking enough water? how old is your LO?
this is my favorite lactation cookie recipe- it's based off a cookie recipe from king arthur flour whole grain baking. they are really tasty and filling and freeze well. you could sub in some kind of margarine for the butter.
Nutty for Oats (Lactation) Cookies Makes 38 cookies
2/3 cup smooth peanut butter 4 tbsp (1/2 stick) unsalted butter 3/4 cup packed light or dark brown sugar (cut back to 1/2 cup to make them less sweet) 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 2 large eggs 1 cup oat flour (or old fashioned rolled oats, ground for 30 seconds in a food processor) 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats 1/4 cup nutritional yeast or brewer's yeast 1/4 cup flaxseed meal 2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
Cream the peanut butter, sugar, vanilla, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Beat in the eggs, scraping the bowl once they're incorporated, then the oat flour, old fashioned rolled oats, yeast, flaxseed, and chocolate chips. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheets.
Bake the cookies, reversing the pans midway through, until they're barely set and just beginning to brown around the edges, 11 to 13 minutes (do not overbake). Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely on the pans.

I like to make muffins, because they make an easy breakfast and they travel well and keep well in the freezer- pull out as you need. This recipe is very forgiving. I never add as much water as it calls for. While this is not specifically a lactation recipe, it already has the oats and flax seeds, so I just add in a few heaping tablespoons of nutritional yeast to get the trifecta. These muffins are not particularly sweet (which is my preference). Bonus, the rest of my family likes them too and they are a healthy breakfast. food52.com/recipes/25520-blueberry-oatmeal-and-flaxseed-muffinsMakes 2 dozen muffins 280 grams (2 cups) whole wheat flour (*I'm gf, so use gf flour) 450 grams (5 1/2 cups) rolled oats 300 grams (1 1/2 cups) light brown sugar 80 grams (2/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon) ground flaxseed 4 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon (*be very generous with the cinnamon) 2 large eggs, lightly beaten (*I can't do eggs and sub applesauce with no problems) 1 cup neutral oil (vegetable, olive, and coconut are good choices) (*I always use olive oil because I have it on hand) 2 cups buttermilk (*I never have buttermilk, so I do the dairy free milk plus vinegar trick) 2 cups blueberries (or use other fresh berries, or dried berries) 1. Mix dry ingredients. Add in wet ingredients. Add blueberries. Add 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup water. Split batter between 24 muffins (I use paper liners, otherwise grease your muffin pans well). 2. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes.

Did your cycle come back? I think that output drops for some people when it does. Are you getting enough calories? FWIW, I’ve been having these every morning to make sure that I’m eating enough early in the day. These particular ones have whey, but a homemade variation could be nice with oatmeal, flax, etc... Could be a nice option in addition to the cookies.
