I swear I’m not a hypochondriac but my body feels like a stranger in the last 6 months.
So I got my first pp period on sat and my god I’m bleeding to death. It’s a doozy. I also noticed that day that I was getting some weird heart palpitations. But I went out did gardening etc and forgot about it.
But then it happened yesterday and I noticed my heart rate was dropping pretty low on my Fitbit (like to 46) and it was when I was getting palpitations. I also got a bit light headed and decided to go to emerg. They did tests and blood work and everything was normal (but a low Hr) so they are sending me to do a 24 monitor test on my heart.
I’m convinced the period and my heart thing are linked but I’m no Dr. Apparently I am 85 years old though

J weighs 8 lbs 12 oz and is 22.5 inches long. Dr said she’d like me to try to get him to eat more. He’s gaining weight, but he dropped from the 3rd percentile to less than 1%. I’m not quite sure how to make him gain weight though... after he eats 4oz he falls asleep. If he doesn’t fall asleep and I try to feed him more he spits up a lot. Sorry for the novel, but I’ve been feeling kinda guilty that I’m unintentionally starving my baby all day. I know that it is completely irrational...if he was hungry he’d be throwing a fit. Yet here I am still worried about it.

You can make his bottles have more calories with less volume - or even switch to Preemie formula (NeoSure I think) which is 22 calories per ounce vs the 20. Again if he’s FF how many ounces a day is he getting?

Maybe I can find one that will be better for his spitting up and I can see if I can get him to eat more.

JFC leatherpants you deserve a break from doctors. Maybe there’s some kind of lifetime quota and you’ll be really really healthy when you’re old!

leatherpants, I had bradycardia (45-50bpm for me) in several episodes associated with high blood pressure and a heavy thudding feeling in my chest. I went to the hospital way back because of the high blood pressure and other than noting the bradycardia they didn't think it needed follow up. But then it's happened several times since then so I'm curious about it, I've never had a low heart rate before. I'd be interested to know if your heart monitor shows anything. And I'm sorry you're going through all of this!

And I feel similar about my body being a stranger in these pp weeks! Between the blood pressure issues early on and being investigated for DVT and preeclampsia, I've also had bright red blood in my urine and am awaiting an ultrasound for that, I have a broken vag and am awaiting a surgery date, and after seeing several public service announcements for toenail fungus and thinking "gross", I noticed last week that I indeed have toenail fungus (barf!!!). Those PSAs were timely! I had zero health issues before this so I'm like, wtf is going on?!

No, it started at exactly one week pp. And it hasn't happened at all in the last two weeks. My doctor suggested it might be related to hormonal changes levelling off after pregnancy but who knows.

I'm really trying to get serious about my weight loss so I'm hungry all the time and it's making me grumpy.
The past two days my H has had to work from the time we've gotten up until we've gone to bed. Tonight he's going for a sleep study and won't be back until dinner time tomorrow.
I know this is all not really his choosing but it's making me angry. He could have waited and not done the sleep study when we have a 10 week old baby.

Hmm. I’m going to blame hormones for mine too. Let’s both. It’s way less scary that way. Damn hormones.

MH is putting a new roof on the garage this week/end. So I’m solo once again thanks to this fucking house. I’m going to burn everything down so there is nothing left to work on. I’m desperately trying not to stress eat because I need to fit in that dress. I’ll be damned if I can find time to work out.

I took L back to the pedi today because that weird exaggerated startle (for lack of a better description) has happened again on 2 separate days recently. On those days, it will happen anywhere from 10-15 times over the course of the day and it started out just happening as he was falling asleep, but yesterday it was happening even when he was wide awake. And each instance is lasting longer and looks more intense, still relatively short like no more than 5 seconds, but before it was barely even lasting 1 second. Pedi said the next step is an EEG so I’m waiting on the call to schedule that. I’m freaked out. Most people keep saying it’s a startle and I’m overreacting, but I just feel like something is not right. I hope I’m wrong and it’s just a weird baby thing he’ll grow out of. This is the worst feeling.

yianna Similac pro sensitive. I think I might switch him to the similac pro advanced though. I had a sample of it and tried it today. He seems like he spits up less. It could also just be I have small babies. DD was on the 10%...I think I was just scared of the 1%

Oh clementine, I feel for you. I don’t think you are overreacting. Trust your instincts and it’s good to get it checked out. It is in all likelihood nothing to worry about and I hope they can tell you soon. I feel for you though on that feeling. ❤️.

I hope this garage roof looks amazing and increases your property value. Just to make it a teeny bit worth it

I’m sorry @clementime. I agree with alwayscheese, having it checked out isn’t overreacting. If it is something, than it’s better to catch it early. If it’s nothing, than you have peace of mind. Hope you find some answers soon though.
