*pops head in* *waves!*
Hello, everyone!
The good people at FertilityIQ have made an offer to contribute (to us... more details in the next paragraph) $10 for each new review submitted to their website in the month of June.
So a) if you haven't checked them out yet, DO IT NOW! This organization is making the biggest inroads in infertility since I can't remember when. They have collected and published thousands of anonymous but verified patient reviews of REs and clinics. But more than that, they're doing their own research all the time to try to get as much information out to us IFers as they can. For example, they publish information about employer IVF coverage every single year that they've been in operation. That is the kind of intel you just can't find anywhere else -- and it was a game changer for me and my husband. Follow them on any of their social media accounts to get the latest updates on what they've been up to.
And b) if you have more clinics to review or you haven't reviewed any of your clinics yet, DO IT NOW! Go to fertilityiq.com and click on Evaluate My Doctor in the upper right corner and just complete the steps (don't worry, it's all anonymous)! And share this with everyone you know who is IF. DO IT NOW... And I'll tell you why!
I decided that the contributions that FertilityIQ has graciously offered will be put to the widest possible use. I am making those funds available to any IFer who is active in this community or the communities with which you share this information (and please feel free to share as widely as you like! Resolve Groups, other infertility forums, just with IF friends, anywhere where there are sisters struggling) in the form of microgrants to help Infertility Sisters become Mothers (or Mothers, Again!).
What do I mean by microgrants? Well, I want to be able to spread as much love as I can. So the microgrants will be available to anyone who is infertile, for any part of the process of becoming a mother (meaning, any form of adoption as well as ART), but because I want to help as many people as possible the amounts will necessarily be small.
These grants are to be used for small things and unexpected expenses, things that end up being the straws that broke the camel's back when you've already leveraged every last penny you have to become a mom:
things like needing an emergency pen of Follistim when you planned and budgeted for exactly 10 days of stimming but you need to stim 2 more days
things like changes in the cost of embryo storage or shipping to a new location
things like another legal fee in the adoption or fostering process
This obviously isn't a comprehensive list but you get the idea.
Here is a social media image to share and spread the word (if I can get it to work).

Basically all anyone has to do is fill out an evaluation of their RE in the month of June! Simple as that. Just be candid and honest. You can review as many clinics as you have been a patient at (Patient: more than just a consultation. You've been diagnosed by this clinic and you may or may not have actually undergone any form of treatment). Share the wealth of information you have about your clinic so that other women who are looking for a clinic or looking to switch to a new clinic can make educated decisions about their treatment! The words that you share about the clinic will be anonymously shared on the FIQ website, but you can omit any of your identifying demographic data you'd like and your name will never be used.
BIG HUGS, FRIENDS!
[Also for anyone interested in an update: MH and I are going to pick back up with banking cycles in the fall once our RE gets to his new clinic and my new IVF coverage from my new job kicks in. Keep your fingers crossed for us that our RE gets back safely and quickly and lands in a new clinic that's accessible for us. He can't tell us where he's going yet. Once we get all those moving pieces nailed down I'll be back around here more often to hopefully -- and finally -- conclude what has been a really stupidlong saga.]
