I hope it's ok that I started this bananas22. I hope you and baby are doing ok! 1. How far are you now? 13wk1d 2. Symptom check: Nauseated, vomiting, constipation & headaches 3. What and when is your next appointment? June 25th with OB & July 6th with Perinatology for my a/s! 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Had an appt yesterday with OB, and everything looks great! Baby was snuggled in the back up next to my placenta, hb at 157! Passed my last loss milestone, so starting to let myself feel more excited about this pregnancy. Just plugging along now, and hoping the nausea decides to lessen at sometime now that I'm inching in the 2nd tri. Plus, NIPT results came in and everything was low risk!

librariangirl, thanks! I meant to start it and then never did. Yay for 2nd tri and everything being low risk! 1. How far are you now? 32+5 2. Symptom check: not much honestly other than a baby trying to karate chop her way out and Braxton Hicks 3. What and when is your next appointment? Everyday! We've had daily NSTs and she's looked great on all of them 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Still hanging out until May 31st for my c section. I'm a little nervous about because my mfm saw an small area of my placenta that was concerning to her. So, they are doing my c section in the main OR just in case. I'm not thrilled with the idea of my baby in the nicu but I'll be happy to have her here and my c section behind me.

Sending you all the good thoughts that you both continue to do well, and that your c-section goes smoothly!! <3

librariangirl so glad your NIPT was low risk and baby looks great! bananas22 I’m sorry you’re dealing with all the placenta stress, too. I hope Baby Banana’s NICU stay is short and sweet. You are so close!!

1. How far are you now? 34 + 3 2. Symptom check: I get winded just thinking about walking, Braxton Hicks, reflux, overall large, exhausted, and moving is hard! 3. What and when is your next appointment? NST today went well, minus an uncooperative baby who does not like monitors. 🤣 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? The rollercoaster continues. I had my final scan at the hospital and the MFM I saw yesterday was less than soothing. He gave me a 1 in 3 chance of accreta being discovered during my c-section. He did reassure me that the gyn oncologist on call for my surgery is fantastic, and in all his years at the hospital he’s never lost an accreta mom or baby. My OB hadon’t received the scans or lab report from yesterday’s scan at the time of my appointment this morning, so we are supposed to touch base tonight or tomorrow. Like you bananas22, my c-section will be in the main OR. I know it’s for the best but it freaks me out.

birch113, Ugh, for something that is supposed to be rare, I can't believe we're both dealing with this. But, in a few weeks, we'll both be holding our babies!

I’d much rather we have more pleasant things in common! You are totally right, though. I’m having a lot of anxiety about the day of, but I really need to focus my energy on the that part!

bananas22 how are you?? Wasn’t the 31st your day?? Yeah, it was. I haven't been on much because little bananas decided to make her arrival on Sunday instead. She's almost a week old and doing well in the nicu. She'll be there for a few more weeks due to her age. I went into labor last Saturday night and had a c section/hysterectomy due to a focal accreta and too much bleeding. It's been a little crazy but we're happy that we are both safe and doing well.

birch113, how are you guys doing? Your c section is coming up pretty soon, isn't it? It’s Wednesday! I’m going ok. I’m trying to focus on the fact that we have all our bases covered in terms of my team in case they do find accreta. Because of baby’s position, transverse spine up) they may have to do a vertical incision on my uterus which causes more blood loss, but they are already planning for that due to the vascularization, so I’m trying not to think about it. I still have a hard time thinking past the surgery, but every once in a while it does hit me that a baby is coming. 😉 Thanks for checking in! How are you, librariangirl?

DD is doing wonderful in the nicu. I'm feeling better now. I'm having some issues with my incision so that's no fun. I had to have a vertical incision due to the location of my placenta. Ill have to see what kind of scar I wind up with but it is all below my belly button. I'll be thinking of you both on Wednesday and that everything goes smoothly with minimal blood loss.

Sorry I’ve been absent. Life has been crazy. I had to go to the ER last week to have a fecal impaction dealt with, and then we had car problems. I’m just hoping this week is better. Baby and I are doing well. I’m 15w1d now. Just plugging along until my next appt on June 25th. It seems so far away. bananas22 I’m so glad DD is doing well in the nicu! I hope she doesn’t have to stay too long. birch113 I hope your delivery goes well!

She’s here! I woke up to use the bathroom early Monday morning and as soon as I laid back down in bed had a huge gush of blood. It was so much, and so scary. Luckily it slowed. My OB said to come in immediately and that she’s coming, but all of our “on call” people for DS had their fingers off or slept through our calls. We finally reached SIL, but they are 40 mins away, so we had to wake DS at 1-something am and take him with us for BIL to pick up there. He was so brave and calm when I said goodbye to go get prepped. BIL made it just in time for DH to meet me before they took me to the OR. She had luckily flipped to head down, which would make surgery easier, and I was having mild contractions, so I guess she got to come when she was ready after all. Surgery was rough and I was vomiting during, but overall it went well. There was no accreta, thank goodness. I did loose a lot of blood as expected, but only needed one bag. My iron stores are still dipping, so there’s a chance I’ll need another transfusion tomorrow, but hopefully not. DD has been having some struggles with her blood sugar, so we need to supplement BF with 10ccs of formula each feed as of a few hours ago, and her numbers look way better. She works hard to nurse, but she is so little still and she tires easily. We are so incredibly in love, including DS who could not possibly be sweeter with her. I can’t believe she’s here, and at the same time I can’t believe she hasn’t always been here. It’s been hard for DS to have us away. I’m hoping to send DH home tomorrow night for him, and if my blood looks better tomorrow, we may get to leave Thursday instead of Friday.

Hi! I'm late to this party but congrats bananas22 and birch113!! I'm so glad that everyone is safe and doing well. birch113 - would it be a terrible thing if you needed another transfusion? I think there is a lot I don't understand about blood transfusions, even though I've had them. When I gave birth to the twins I lost a ton of blood, and after I passed out they gave me one unit of blood the next day. I still couldn't sit up without being dizzy or walk unassisted, so at the end of day two they gave me two more units. The doctor told me that without the transfusions, it can take months to build your iron stores back up, and I would have spent those months feeling beyond exhausted. So I was all, well then fill me up now! Why not! But are there lots of crazy risks that I just wasn't understanding?? Sorry, I'm not trying to make this all about me... I just was honestly wondering why it would be a bad thing if you needed more blood. AFM... I feel like it's been forever since I've officially checked in. 1. How far are you now? 36w1d 2. Symptom check: I'm mostly feeling huge and tired, but other than that I can't really complain. 3. What and when is your next appointment? I now have weekly ultrasounds until the end. Which seems like overkill, but I love ultrasounds so I'll take it. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? We still haven't set up a nursery for this baby. I need to buy a glider chair and a crib. We have a dresser but I need to paint it. I don't want this baby to have less attention than her sisters just because she is the third... but I feel like it's already happening with her bedroom
