For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What's the last thing you watched on TV (or saw in the movie theater) that made you laugh?

1. How old is your LO? 2 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 1-3 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? Can't think of anything too strange. On a plane yesterday! Probably the most memorable was at the lodge at Yellowstone in front of the big fireplace. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Nope. We usually nurse in bed (wake-up, night or nap) so I'm not doing anything else. Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Things are going really well. We just did a big trip so DD nursed a little more than usual. I think we will be back to our once or twice a day at home. I'm not experiencing anything negative. I do cut some sessions short, mostly because she needs to turn over and go to sleep Non-BFing question of the week: What's the last thing you watched on TV (or saw in the movie theater) that made you laugh? I def had some awkward laughs while watching I Tanya. Trying to think of anything on TV... probably modern family.

1. How old is your LO? 14 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 4 on weekdays (and I pump), more on weekends 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? I have BF a few times near the Washington Monument. I've pumped while driving quite a few times, and once in a hair salon. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? I usually read or mess around on my phone. Sometimes I'll just have a snuggle with her.
Non-BFing question of the week: What's the last thing you watched on TV (or saw in the movie theater) that made you laugh? I don't watch a ton of TV/movies but there's always an SNL skit that will make me laugh.

I normally read on a book on my phone.
Non-BFing question of the week: What's the last thing you watched on TV (or saw in the movie theater) that made you laugh? We just watched Baywatch and I found it hilarious.

1. How old is your LO? 2.5 yrs (31 months)
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? We are at a consistent 5 times and actively working on dropping one of those sessions.
3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? Strangest location...maybe the zoo. The strangest time for me was just this past April. We visited my parents out of state and she really really wanted to nurse while my aunt was over. I was trying to distract her (my aunt didn't know what she was asking) but she wouldn't give it up, so I just gave in. My extended family is pretty conservative and I could see the shock on my aunt's face as I offered my boob to my 2.5 year old. I like educating people but it was definitely a strange moment.
4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? For the first session of the day I look at my phone, but the rest of the time I try to make that time about us with no distractions.
Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Doing good. Nursing my oldest 5 times a day is a bit much for me ( I know I've mentioned it before), I just haven't had the energy to deal with the emotions I know will come with trying to cut back. Now that my youngest is 8 months and napping better I'm ready to try. I'd be fine if she weaned but she still loves nursing, so I'm going to compromise and slowly get us to 3 sessions.
Non-BFing question of the week: What's the last thing you watched on TV (or saw in the movie theater) that made you laugh? I really have no idea. The only thing I've watched recently is The Handmaid's Tail and it definitely doesn't bring out the laughs.
