I don't think I have to tell you that if you outsource the cleaning of your home there is no need for you to answer.
Weekend Warrior - completes all housework in one day, once or twice per week. Tackles the bulk of the whole house on one to two days
Daily speed cleaner - speed cleans the entire home sporadically throughout the day or does a specified amount of cleaning time per day (short chunks)
Zone cleaners - does one area per day example - Monday - Kitchen, Tuesday - Bathrooms
Task master - completes one large cleaning task per day. example - Mondays - dusting, Tuesday - vacuuming This is like instead of doing a zone you do a task.
You can find yourself to be in more than one category and you can pick more than one answer.
Knowing where you tend to fall can help explain to you why some things might not work for you like Flylady for example. Find what works for you.

I said weekend warrior, but right now even that isn't getting don because we are trying to get stuff done outside, me getting tired etc. So lately, I have been focusing on keeping everything straightened up, bathrooms clean and kitchen floor mopped.

Hi friends, I have been creepily stalking your gorgeous planners for months and am coming out of the woodwork now... Those cleaning descriptions are so spot on. I am a hot mess combo of all of them, something different every week, nothing sticks. I chose Weekend Warrior and Task Master because a) no matter what I plan to do, all cleaning happens in guilt when it can't be avoided any longer and on a weekend day; and b) I have a tiny house so if I get out a cleaning product/tool it takes basically zero extra time or effort to just doing the whole house, even if I was planning on a particular room. I want so badly to be a Daily Speed Cleaner. Does anyone manage to stick to that? Any tips? I hate throwing away half a weekend day!

Not really speed so much but I will set the timer for 30 min and whatever doesn't get done after that is oh well.

FlightView I love your 5 item rule. I think I will try out a 1 item rule and get DH in on it too.

This is kind of why I posted this. Some systems are not going to work for some people because it's not your style. So instead of feeling down about it and thinking well I am just a messy person, well I just can't get this done, etc. You can try different styles until you find what works for you.

I would say weekend warrior describes me for the most part with some daily thrown in. I’d love to be more zone though because I hate that I feel like I do all weekend is clean and j still feel like I run out of time to keep the house truly clean. I think that my biggest obstacle is just time.

Dishes daily but weekend warrior for everything else. DH and I usually go hard Saturday morning so we can enjoy a clean house for the weekend.
Life has been less stressful since I decided to not even try during the week.

Weekend warrior for sure over here.
It’s bad because if we’re out of town or too busy one weekend it gets way backed up. I tried fly lady very briefly and it didn’t stick. It’s very hard for my to do a lot daily because I work full time and DS goes to bed at 9, then I’m pooped.
My dishwasher and vacuum are broken at the moment :runs and hides:. Only the bedrooms have carpet luckily. This weekend we plan on doing each room one at a time and catching up on laundry as well.

I am a weekend warrior, but I kind of hate it. I'd rather be more of a task master kinda person, but it may not be possible in the immediate future. By the time I get DS down, I'm ready to fall over and generally only manage to do the basics to get myself ready for the next day.

As long as you're not in squalor and getting what you need to get done accomplished. We all have aspirations and all that.

Definitely a daily speed cleaner with a healthy dose of weekend warrior. My husband is exclusively a weekend warrior so I think it helps.
I spend maybe 45-1hr each day cleaning, rotating 10 minutes per room? Maybe 15 in my toddler's room since all the toys are there.

I’m a mix of daily and task master, I guess. I have daily chores that I try to stay on top of and then I have a list of weekly chores that I just do whenever throughout the week. For my floors, though, I have a rotating zone schedule. Floors are my weak spot, but even when they don’t get mopped I try to run the robot vacuum daily. Example:

I have dsily glad plus 3. Garbage Laundry Animals Dishes Plus 3 things in each room. Pick up,put away, straighten, wipe wgatever the 3 things tga t are needed the most.
When I'm on top of my game I do one task a day. In this order but not always ending with 7 things for 7 days so it rotates each week. Clear up horizontal surfaces - counters cabinets desks etc; Dust, polish, wipe high & low; Wipe all vertical surfaces- appliances windows, mirrors doorjams; Clear up all floors; Sweep mop vacuum floors; Linens towels and laundry; Toilet shower tub sink; Kitchen sink empty, dishes up and fridge wipes.
Then I have a weekly focus of room types where they get more focus on bigger tasks rearranging furniture, cleaning a carpet, washing the drapes, whatever bigger items need doing. Used to be a lot of focus on the toys or the kids closet. Now its more outdoorsand dh mess of a garage. sometimes I get stuck in a certain location more but with doing my glad and daily tasks, other parts of house don't get too neglected. I rotate thru the areas: Main living room office great room, Kitchen and dining room, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Entry and front of house, Back porch and yard, Garage
So I mix all the styles up.

Also, I think of vacuuming definitely as a "task," but will break up certain rooms as "zones." Like, I'd rather vacuum the whole house in one shot, but I'll grab my variety bucket of supplies for different surfaces and tackle surface/appliance cleaning by room.
