1. How far are you now? 11w1d
2. Symptom check: Nausea & vomiting, constipation, crazy dreams
3. What and when is your next appointment? May 21st
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I lost my enema virginity last night. 😭 The constipation is SO BAD, I’m on colace now, but yeah, being pregnant is so glamorous.
But, I finally got some Zofran from my dr, and I can actually function now! Yay!

bananas22 that is incredible that you’ll be off until August 2019!!! GL organizing! librariangirl Zofran was a lifesaver with my son. It was the only way I could semi function. This time around I’m managing with Diclegis, thankfully. I hope you feel better soon!

1. How far are you now? 32+3
2. Symptom check: Same, though I haven’t thrown up in a week!
3. What and when is your next appointment? We had our hospital scan Monday. The previa has not resolved, and the MFM was adamant about a 36 week delivery. I was hoping for 37. He also dropped the bomb that my uterus is highly vascularized. He still does not see markers for accreta, but the concern is they won’t be able to stop the bleeding from the c/s, so I could be looking at a hysterectomy. 😉 I have my NST / follow up from the scan tomorrow, and we will schedule the c/s.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? We really need to get our butts in gear since she’s going to be here in less than four weeks!

librariangirl, yay for zofran working! birch113, boo for the previa not moving. My mfm warned me about the possibility of a hysterectomy as well because even though I don't have signs of an accreta, I'm at a higher risk due to my history. I hope you don't have to have one.

birch113 I’m sorry your previa hasn’t resolved. I hope everything goes smoothly though, when you have your c-section! Not much longer to go.

Looks like I spoke too soon.
I had my OB appointment today and things are more serious than I realized. Apparently there is still concern about possible accreta, which cannot be reliably picked up on u/s. She is ordering an MRI and wants me to get in tonight or tomorrow if possible. I have to meet with an gynecological oncologist who will either be on call or scrubbed in for my c/s depending on whether accreta is diagnosed in MRI (scrubbed in if diagnosed, on call if suspected). C/S will either be 6/4 if acccreta is not diagnosed or 6/6 if it is. Whichever OB is scheduled for the OR that day will be the lead and the on call OB will be scrubbed in as well.
The c/s will be in the regular OR due to risk factors. I will have an epidural so if I need a hysterectomy, it will be longer lasting. General will be available if things get complicated. I was ok until she started discussing life saving interventions. Now I’m a total train wreck. I know things will probably be ok. I just need to get home to DS.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this stress. Being in a similar position, I know how terrifying it can feel. My MFM is going to do one more check for accreta at 34 weeks and decide then if my c section will be at 36 or 39 weeks. She warned me about the likelihood of a hysterectomy if my placenta doesn't come out right away. She is also going to do my c section and has extensive experience with accreta so that makes me feel better. I appreciate the over planning but it's still scary. I hope your MRI goes well and they are able to put together a plan that makes you feel comfortable.

My OB actually went to the hospital to meet with the MFM and see the scans for herself. Turns out accreta is no more a risk than before, thank goodness. There must’ve been something oddly written in the lab report. The MFM does not want to proceed with an MRI at this point. He’s adamant about a c/s at 36 or 36+1, but my OB wants to hold off until 36+3 because the gynecological oncologist is on call that day just in case they do run into accreta or any other issues. I believe the c/s is going to be in a regular OR, and they will have blood on hand and the blood bank on call. I am really, really grateful they are being so planful. I can’t believe this little lady is going to be here so soon!

Yes, that’s a non-negotiable, unfortunately. I was really hoping to make it to 37 weeks, but the MFM felt it was far too risky. I’m going for steroid shots at 36+1 and 36+2 and my c/s is scheduled for June 6 at 36+3. 😬

I can't believe you'll have an outside baby in just a few weeks.
