One of my kids is throwing up.... we go home tomorrow.......send haaalp. Ugh. Get it together older offspring! You have vomit, my kids have strep. At least mine is still an inside? I'm hoping she stays so until they've been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours.

Ditto the Dr Brown formula pitcher recommendation. Saved us so much wasted formula on the days that kid 1 just wanted small bottles.

MH just told me the reason the toddler woke up so early is she had some sort of nightmare and was afraid she would “never be able to hug momma again.”

Man. Naptime was a mess today. The toddler woke up 45 minutes in and needed my help settling, but then the baby started crying. I tried to fix it but ultimately my older DS wouldn’t go back to sleep.
I feel so guilty now because I was very short and frustrated with him. I’m struggling with the balance between the two boys, and it’s manifesting as resentment especially toward my older one since he’s acting out. I feel awful once I’ve had the chance to catch my breath and get some perspective. I really hope this phase passes quickly.

Major applause and gold stars to all you STMs and beyond. I don’t know how you are staying afloat with 2+ kids. I can barely manage the one.
Hopefully all the sick kiddos feel better soon and don’t share the germs with the babies!

katietopaz, I have been feeling the same way about the 3.5 year old. Definitely pushing boundaries and I get short with her. I just feel like sleep deprivation makes me a b!+@#. Like you said, waiting for this to pass.

sunshinedaisies Those are absolutely stunning!! Does he look similar to how your older DS looked as a baby? Sometimes? They definitely have different jaw lines and different shapes to their faces but their features are very similar. I keep looking back st old photos of DS1 and sometimes I’m taken aback because they look identical and sometimes I think nope not the same. More than once I’ve shown DH a photo of DS1 and he says something about L and I’m like nope not him. What about your boys? Any similarity? I can only picture your first from like a year onward.

commiseration tit. we are finally coming off of 2 weeks of this. i feel so bad thinking how much i dislike it. We have been dealing with baby acne for about 4 weeks now. It started on his forehead and is now on his chin. Hopefully it completely clears up soon for all our babies. Yeeessss to all of you. It’s been here for like a week and a half or two weeks. I can’t wait for it to go away. I don’t remember it lasting long with DS1 so I hope it’s the same this time. But every time I think his skin looks better it flares up again and nope.

Today has been...not great. L spit up this morning shortly after we gave him his meds. We weren’t sure if they had enough time to get into his system or not. Given today...they did not. If I had any doubt the meds are necessary, they are gone after today. Just gave him his meds for the evening and already he seems better.

The picture I had in my head of your older DS is so similar to the newborn pictures of your younger one, I wondered! Mine are really similar to how you described yours. DS2 has a rounder face and is chunking out much more than DS1 ever did. Their skin tone is identical (both take after me) and eyes are similar. Some pictures I think they look very similar, but not identical.

attempting the zoo today with both girls by myself. the need to get out of the house is greater than my fear of taking them out alone. my biggest worry is dd2 having a blowout in the ergo. i’m hoping i don’t regret this. i have learned that getting out is really the key to my sanity though.
in other news, it is supposed to be near 50s after today and i think i might cry tears of joy.

Which zoo and when? We should do a meet up...not quite sure I’m game today even though I’d like to be.

Wearing pads makes me feel like a middle schooler.... as does not being able to find a decent bra.

dizzycooks como...we usually just do the conservatory. i love that it’s free in case of meltdowns. do you have a mn zoo membership? wondering if it’s worth it but i think it would be just so short trips wouldn’t be a huge waste of money. maybe a meet up in the future?

I do have a membership and I get a guest so I think y’all could get in free. Let’s pm and find a date! Give me another week or two to get back into shape for lengthy walking.

DH and I made up yesterday. Things were still awkward and it was a chaotic day, but we're all doing better today.
My dad is having surgery this afternoon. He's having a fusion done in his back. I really want to be there with my mom, but it's just not going to happen with my kids in tow, especially since the hospital he'll be at is 2 hours away and his surgery doesn't even start until 3:30 this afternoon and will be 3.5 hours long. I wish they would have scheduled it earlier in the day.

Anyone have an app they love for tracking baby’s routine? Bonus if it’s free. Preferably available on iPhone and android so dh could sync with it. Mostly I want to see sleep patterns and feeding times.
