Ok B has only had one dose of the meds but seriously that was a fantastic night. He slept soundly and for long stretches (well 3 and 4 hours). But soundly. No groaning or moaning or straining or crying in his sleep. I feel like a superhero this morning. I am so so happy for you!!! That first night when both you and your kid get some rest - it feels so great the next morning!!

ArielMermaid you’ll feel so great once that baby is out! Seriously, just to n it need to pee all the time...it’s coming girl! So I had to drop something at fedex this morning and I was feeling like a rockstar bc I got both kids to their schools on time. At fedex I realized I didn’t have my wallet or enough change to pay the $1.40 bill. Wtf? Now I have to go back again with 3 kids rather than 2 with my wallet. The only good part was that I made it to my car before I started crying. Ugh. $1.40. I wish I had been there to give you the $1.40.

Also...I’m dying to post our family picture because legit all four of us (including baby) are smiling but DH will be so pissed if I post a photo of him online. And I also hate pictures of myself.

I'm so glad the meds seem to be helping leatherpants. I'm sure it's such a relief all around. I'm glad your dad is doing better and got to go home woodenshoes. Love those pics sunshinedaisies. The one of the two of them is so cute.

Mh had an early meeting so I had to take D1 to school. It was rough getting us all ready but it was nice to be up and showered early. I have an eye appt this afternoon and I am crossing everything that the baby sleeps through it.

So sweet sunshinedaisiesCongrats Leaf 🌱!!! DD had a ton of mucous as well. My midwife has delivered 500+ babies and says it was the most she’d ever seen. What a lovely record for my daughter to hold...lol.

I know it’s harmless but we’ve got babe acne over here and I hate it. I hope it goes away soon.

Leaf 🌱 I was thinking of you! Congratulations on welcoming your little one!! I’m sorry for the scare. Hang in there with the big transition with your older kiddo - the upheaval of routine has been hard over here, too, but we’re slowly settling into more of a rhythm. I hope going back to daycare helps your DD, especially since it’s a familiar routine! sunshinedaisies Those are absolutely stunning!! Does he look similar to how your older DS looked as a baby? leatherpants Oh hooray for a much better night!! Those stretches feel like a whole night’s sleep when you’re coming off so many rough nights.

I know anything could change at any time, but I’m so thankful that, for the moment, this baby likes being worn. We managed Trader Joe’s yesterday and Target today with him in the ring sling. I’m not as fast getting it on and adjusted as I would like, but I figure practice is the best thing. My toddler has been great, like Leaf 🌱’s, about 80% of the time and is acting out and meltdown central the rest. It’s probably good for him that family is gone, and we’re able to start finding our new rhythm. But holy cow to changing all these diapers by myself.

katietopaz im guessing your oldest is still in diapers? i feel like i am just changing diapers every 5 min. mine have pooping on a rotation and it seems to be when i’m trying to get out of the door🙄 pretty sure it took me 30 min to get out one morning from diaper situation alone!

Yep. He turns 3 next month but hasn’t shown any interest in PTing so I’m not pushing it. Of course that means I’m dealing with toddler poop, which is so much nastier when I compare it to the tiny, much less smelly newborn poops. And how do they manage to time pooping perfectly with trying to get out the door?

It started on his forehead and is now on his chin. Hopefully it completely clears up soon for all our babies.

sunshinedaisies those pics are beautiful. The person who did our newborn photos used the same style wrap thing and positioned L’s hands in the same way with them.

Well CONGRATS Leaf 🌱. Glad everyone seems to be doing better. I cannot sit on the "baby didn't spend long enough in the birth canal" bench. DS spent plenty long in there. 😏 ETA I thought I could see almost a ridge on DS's head for how far out I had pushed his head before the episiotomy. Like I kept trying and trying to push his head out and there was all this pressure and how many ctx at that one spot that you could see a ring. Idk if that makes any sense. My baby did have an actual ridge from being crammed in the birth canal for so long. Even the midwife commented on it 😁😁

And how do they manage to time pooping perfectly with trying to get out the door? Em is potty trained but needs help wiping when she poos. Without fail, Everytime we're eating she needs to poo. It's so annoying.

N is such a different eater than Em and I'm having trouble figuring her out.
Em was always easy to predict how much formula she'd take and she increased pretty quickly. She was easily taking 6oz. By 4 weeks.
N will take 4oz. At some feedings, 2oz. At others. I'm wasting so much formula. And she's not increasing at all. She usually barely finishes 4oz. Before she falls asleep.

Lol that's actually pretty funny you say that because Em used to always poo while I fed her when she was a baby. It was diaper change, feed, diaper change most feedings.

My FF kid took MONTHS to get to 6 ounce bottles. Even then he was only taking 24 ounces of formula in a 24 hour period. Are you using powder? If so, mix a batch in the dr browns formula pitcher and only offer 2 ounces and if she needs more just pour one ounce into the bottle. It makes a huge difference in how much less you waste.
