Anybody have any great finds on getting bedroom furniture for your big kids? DS is in an IKEA crib with an ugly secondhand dresser so if he’s really switching to a bed, I’d like to buy him a twin (hopefully with a trundle), dresser, and nightstand. Any tips on where to look? I don’t want to spend PBK money!

I was gonna say IKEA for furniture carrots. I hear you on PBK being outrageous for some things. Also, we met with our pedi for DDs 4yr appointment yesterday and she essentially confirmed that night wetting is not something you can train out of them until they have more biological control. She said that until they start waking up dry at least 50% of the time, things like sticker charts and stuff are just a waste of time.

January 2019 BMB’s were just added and I have lots of feelings about it. I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since I got pregnant with M!

We did follow the Oh Crap wake-up methods. We did like 10 and 2 for a couple months, maybe? Then switched to just midnight for a couple months. It was exhausting, but we day- and night-trained at the same time, so she was never really in pull-ups.
We had L in a crib until she was 2.5. I have a feeling A will be in a toddler bed much sooner. This morning, she was attempting to climb out. It was a pathetic attempt, but the desire is there. Ugh.

Since yesterday I've been having full on anxiety panic attacks. E has her 18 month developmental appointment tomorrow. I keep worrying something is wrong or she is really delayed. No idea why I guess I'm used to being on the wrong side of stats. I overanalyze everything she does.

Today is a beautiful day, sorry to all of you dealing with snow.
Mh " gave me the day off" so I got lunch and am sitting in my car by the water eating it. It makes me miss my mom so much because she took her lunch break and sat by the water almost every day. While I'm not at her park it makes me feel her here with me. Once I finish I am going to Trader Joe's by myself. It's a good day.

E's appointment went well today. Thank you everyone meeting all of her 18 month milestones. We do have to do exercises with her to loosen up her ankles so she won't walk on her toes so much. I'll take t though

meeggaannw, doing things that remind us of loved ones is so bittersweet. It's like, we want to do things to honor their memory and feel close to them... which inevitably makes us amiss them and feel a little sad. the scales DO eventually tip and the sad feeling gets very small and the memory-driven smiles get so big. <3

E was up 4 times last night 9,1, 3 and 4. That never happens anymore it was frustrating. I'm wondering if it's her canines coming in.

We had A's 15 month check-up. Poor kid had to get 3 vaccines and a blood draw. Oh and she dropped a pound since we were last at the doc. Weird.

So, A got her 15 month vaccinations yesterday. Daycare just texted that she has a fever of 101.3.
I know fevers are a side effect of vax, but the last time she had shots, the next day we ended up in the ER because she had a 105.7 degree fever. Ugh.

Did they switch scales for her weight? When they switched from laying down to standing against the wall for height, ds lost an inch or so.

Lakes, i think that the last time they did her weight wad when we were there for her nursemaid's elbow. So, we didnt stio her clothes off, and we were probably holding her on the scale. She's still on her curve, so I'm not worried. As for the fever, we're thinking she kight have an ear infection, or dealing with maaaajor teething. My poor baby.

Crazy week here. My step-grandfather passed away suddenly last weekend so dd and I logged 12 hours in the car in 2.5 days to go up for the services. Ds stayed home with mh/grandparents. I didn’t relish the idea of managing both of them on my own, especially with ds potty training. I wanted to pop in and see my grandma while I was up there but there was a bug going around the facility and she had been sick the day before. So that was disappointing.
Now I’m trying to catch up on things at home and crossing my fingers that the weather is nice this weekend. It’s been chilly here but not as bad as NY, there was snow on the ground there! I love winter, but not in mid-April.

judyblume14 teething hell over here too. She was working on at least 6 that I could see. 4 finally popped through the week. Hopefully the other ones aren’t fall behind. She is so clingy and miserable sometimes. It’s the total opposite from ds, I never knew he was teething until there was a new one. Kids, man. Always changing it up on you.

judyblume14 I hope the fever doesn't escalate and she gets better soon. Lakes teething is no fun. I hope they all break through soon.

15 month checkup for M this morning! She got a good report and is alllllllmost to 20 pounds. It’s so nice to have a day with just her since I sent DS to daycare! We’re heading to daycare now to meet another mom to make teacher appreciation gifts. Here’s our inspiration. Stay tuned for the inevitable Pinterest fail!

We start swim class with A next Saturday! I'm so relieved that her class and DD1's run at the same time. That allows me or my husband to do swim class on our own while the other does stuff around the house.

Dd had her 15 month check up this morning. She’s up to the 11th percentile for weight at 18lbs! 50th for height. The doctor was pleased. She pitched quite the fit during her weight and height measurements, legit alligator rolling off the scale. The poor nurse had to catch her. But she barely made a peep during her shots. You’ve got this backwards, kid!

Lakes, A lost her mind when the doctor put the stethoscope on her chest. Like it was a branding iron or something.

That allows me or my husband to do swim class on our own while the other does stuff around the house. So jealous! We couldn’t find somewhere to make it work with both kids. We did a few months of parent & me classes with all 4 of us in the water but DS ages out of those in June so they would have to be in back to back classes. I’m not up for all 4 of us spending over an hour in swim lessons every Saturday so I signed DS up for Monday afternoon lessons and M will be out of swim lessons for a while and have to watch him swim with me. I feel bad bc DS got in a lot more swim lessons as a baby but hopefully she’ll get more playtime in the pool.
