For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What is something about extended BFing that surprised you? 4. Which nursing session of the day is your LO most attached to (wake-up, naptime, before bed...)? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What is your favorite pizza topping?

1. How old is your LO? 2 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-4 3. What is something about extended BFing that surprised you? That i'm doing it! I never had it in the plans but it works so well for us. 4. Which nursing session of the day is your LO most attached to (wake-up, naptime, before bed...)? She's winding down a bit so she isn't attached that much. She used to be most attached to after work session but that's been dropped. She mostly nurses before nap & bed and then sometimes in early morning before wake-up time or at wake-up time. SHe has been asking a little more often lately and I think it's because she hasn't been feeling great.
Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? 15 weeks! No issues. It's going so well. I need to decide if i'm interested in tandem nursing. I guess I have several months to decide. my hope is for her to wean on her own. she has definitely cut down but not sure when/if she will cut out on her own.
Non-BFing question of the week: What is your favorite pizza topping?

1. 2.25 yo 2. 3-6x 3. Now that we are this far out, just how much she still wants to nurse all the time. 4. I think the morning/after wake up session.
QOTW: My favorite combo is pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and black olives.
Am I the only one with a toddler that shows no signs of winding down!? Yikes! My LO is going to need an intervention...

Dds winding down correlated with me being pregnant. We also switched daycares and that got her out of the habit of nursing after daycare for whatever reason. New routine I guess! So all kind of circumstantial.
