We will be taking a trip, by plane, with our infant twins and 4 year old in a couple months. I've never traveled with an infant. Any special advice? Grandparents will be on the same flight, so we at least have more adults than children.

How old will the babies be? Plan to feed during takeoff and landing so that the change in pressure doesn't bother their ears. Keep in mind that safety regulations may prohibit you from having more than one lap child in each row so you may have to sit across the aisle from whoever is holding the other baby. Bring a mix of novel toys and old favorites to entertain them. Bring lots of snacks if they're eating solids. Small things like cheerios, puffs, goldfish take a long time to eat and can keep them entertained for a while. Remember that no matter what happens on the flight, you won't see your fellow passengers again when it's over and the whole thing will someday be a distant memory. Don't sweat it.

When I flew with an infant (just one) I got really hot. I’d wear layers. Remember you are holding the kid for the entire trip! If they are small enough, consider babywearing during the flight.

Following, as I’m thinking of attempting this with 2x 6 month olds plus DD this winter...
When i flew with a solo infant, I was able to reserve the bassinet attached to the front bulkhead row. Does anyone know if you are able to reserve two at a time?

Thanks for the advice! I plan on trying babywearing (I did minimal with my oldest - I liked it, just didn't do it much). Layers sounds smart. And now that I'm thinking about it a spare shirt would be smart.
Snacks, toys, feed during take off, got it.

Would it be rude to bring ear plugs just for myself?

I flew with twin 6 month olds last year and we bought one of them a seat and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was really nice to have one baby in a carseat and one baby in a lap. And then we could rotate them in and out. We fed them just before takeoff and they napped for a little while. Mine were not on solids, so it was just bottles at the time. And I wish I had brought some pre-mixed formula because mixing formula bottles on a plane is a PITA. (if you're FF).
Beyond that, just pack your patience. Inevitably one will need a diaper change at a really inconvenient time or one will scream. It's just life and hopefully your nearby passengers aren't assholes about it.
