1. How far are you now? 32+2
2. Symptom check: Ugh. Still my BP issues and all those symptoms. Insomnia (partly due to discomfort and hot flashes, partly due to a cold/allergies). Hormonal still.
3. What and when is your next appointment? Feb 1 with the OB.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? We went to the MFM yesterday. N passed his BPP with flying colors. His head is measuring 3 weeks ahead, his belly 2 weeks ahead, and his femur was right on. They estimated his weight at 5 lbs 2 oz, which is what O weighed when she was born at 35+4 😱😭
My MFM said there really isn’t any scenario he can see where I go past 37 weeks, so I’m likely in my last four weeks of this. They upped my second BP med, which should buy us a little time. He just wants us to make it to 36 weeks to reduce the likelihood of complications and NICU time. So we’re probably looking at a February baby instead of March! Good thing MH got the nursery painted last weekend!

1. How far are you now? 32 + 4 2. Symptom check: nausea, tired, aches and pains 3. What and when is your next appointment? NST on Thursday, OB on Monday, MFM next Tuesday. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I had my first NST yesterday, it went fine. I am doing them at the hospital so I can do them after work and save sick time for when this baby is born. I don't think the nurses like that a lot, but my OB was the one who stated that I could do them at the hospital. After the NST was over the nurse asked me how late I work till each day, when I told her until 3:45 she didn't seem as annoyed that I am doing the NSTs at the hospital. I am sure it is easier to do them at the OB office, but I already use so much sick time for MFM appointments that I don't want to use probably an additional 1/2 day of time off each week for NST's if I don't have too. Between the fertility treatments to conceive this child and being high risk my sick time has been eaten up.

Rama so exciting! You’re getting there! moto I’m losing my mind waiting for movement, too. Hang in there! Dogpaddle29 I’m sorry you are so uncomfortable! longhornwino sorry you’re still dealing with BP issues. woodenshoes I feel you on the PTO. I’m glad you can use the hospital to save some of it! AFM 1. How far are you now? 17+2 2. Symptom check: Nausea, some vomiting, RLP, and my belly is sooooo itchy! 3. What and when is your next appointment? 2/5 is our fetal echo. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? At my 16 week appointment last night, we discussed VBAC vs. RSC. I have a million reasons to go for a VBAC, but I can’t shake the worry about uterine rupture.

moto I started feeling regular movement probably around 22w? But this is also my first time doing this, so who knows. Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? That could make it take longer than you might think. I was feeling flutters between 14w-16w, I think, just nothing distinctly baby. Placenta shifted anterior a little after that and freaked me out. woodenshoes I wish I had the option to do my NSTs at the hospital. My leave is starting to look sadder and sadder.

1. How far are you now? 22 weeks, 1 day 2. Symptom check: Easily annoyed, weird cravings, hemorrhoids and the insomnia.... 3. What and when is your next appointment? OB check up and 2nd ultrasound on February 9th to double check Tiny Human's kidneys 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? My MIL has started planning a shower. Which is fun. It's going to be coffee themed and have breakfast foods. Those were my only requests. I could live off bagels and cream cheese lately. And I am sick to death of not sleeping . . .

Dogpaddle29 - you're in the home stretch now! Are they inducing if you make it to 38 weeks? longhornwino - I'm sorry you're having BP issues, and I hope you can avoid NICU time! woodenshoes - the nurses are getting paid for their time right? so why would they mind if you do the NSTs there? Is it a pain for them somehow? birch113 - if you are feeling anxious, maybe just go for the RCS? I know it's supposed to be a harder recovery but you've had one before so you know what you're in for. Might as well save yourself the worry. mela99 - a coffee themed shower? that sounds fun! Rama - I had an anterior placenta last time! I hope I don't have one again this time, but I'm not sure. They didn't mention anything about placenta placement at my 12-week u/s. (can they tell then?) Last time around my placenta really muffled movement, even as the babies got bigger. It was such a buzzkill.

Rama, Yay! You're getting close! Dogpaddle29, do you have a set date for eviction or will they let the babies decide when they want to come? moto, I think it might also depend on the baby. With my first, I had an anterior placenta but I felt him move early. With my second pregnancy, I had a posterior placenta but I barely felt him move. This time, it's an anterior placenta again but I've already had a few decent kicks and I can feel some flutters. It's definitely not regular movement yet but just here and there. My doctor told me I had an anterior placenta at my 13 week appointment. longhornwino, I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly and you don't have any more BP issues . woodenshoes, that's nice you can do them at the hospital to save those days off. It's amazing how quickly those appointments add up. birch113, I would go with what makes you feel more comfortable. Do your doctors feel like you are a good candidate for a vbac? mela99, a coffee shower sounds fantastic. 1. How far are you now? 15w5d 2. Symptom check? Not too much right now other than still being tired and hungry. 3. What and when is your next appointment? Feb 2nd, ob appt 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? We're having a girl! We did a mini reveal with family two weeks ago with silly string and it was fun. We have mostly boys on my husband's side so everyone was excited.

moto I think so. I'm pretty sure they were able to tell my placenta placement when I went into the ER for bleeding around 12w (I was told it was fundal at the time). But definitely at your next ultrasound, ask!

bananas22 my OB does think I’m a great candidate for VBAC. I fully progressed during my first labor, but there were issues with DS’s heart rate that prompted the c-section. My OB at the time never told me that the cord was around his neck, but my current OB did during this discussion. I’m shocked I was never told previously. This info does also make me feel more confident in my body to go for a VBAC. We are going to discuss it more at my next appointment, and I’m continuing to read and listen to podcasts on all things VBAC. And.....welcome to Team Pink!!! Congrats!

It sounds like you are a good candidate for a vbac. I had a c-section with my first because he got stuck even after a failed vacuum so I was a good candidate for a vbac for my second. Going into that pregnancy, I planned for a vbac but I was open to whatever was best at the time. The only thing I wasn't willing to do was to push for 4 hours again before going to a c-section. I was able to vbac but it was an extremely preterm delivery. Unfortunately, due to complications from that delivery, I have to have a RCS this time. Do you have to make a decision now or can you be flexible and see how things go? And thanks! We are excited. It's going to be a whole new adventure.

She said I should decide by 24 - 28 weeks, and I want to make sure I have time to prepare. They won’t allow inductions for VBAC, so I will have a back up RCS date in case I’m late. Like you, if I go for the VBAC I want to keep an open mind in case it doesn’t work out. I was really ok with my CS with DS for that reason. ETA: re: new adventure! We are right there with you!!
