Well, what a difference. I have been having contractions off and on for a week but woke up at 11pm last night with painful regular contractions. I was determined not to get sent home this time so I stayed there till I couldn't stand it and we left for the hospital around 1 am. Got there and bag was bulging and she couldn't feel any cervix but didn't want to break the water by accident so didn't push too hard. The brought me right up to a room and got me in the tub. It wasn't long before I was pushing but an anterior lip of cervix kept preventing progress. Finally I sat on the toilet and the head came out. Then all hell broke loose on the bathroom floor since he has a shoulder dystocia. She was able to get the right arm out and pull him out from there. He is more than 1.5lbs bigger than DS1. I also had quite a bit of bleeding after they got him delivered. We are both doing well. He might have a clavicle fracture (X-ray is pending) He was born at 4:09 am 1/7/18 8lbs 10 oz 20 3/4"

Wow, that is quite a delivery story. I'm glad you and baby are both doing well now. Did you do this all med free? I can not imagine how painful that would be with the shoulder dystocia!

Wow, flippinchica ! I hope there is no fracture. That sounds wild. I also hope you can get some rest. ETA: I know the rest is not likely but I know you need it!

I knew by what they were doing that it was a shoulder dystocia so I knew it was important to get baby out asap and adrenaline definitely kicked in

Congrats flippinchica!! I'm so impressed by your med free delivery. What do they do if it is a clavicle fracture?

Congrats flippinchica!! I'm so impressed by your med free delivery. What do they do if it is a clavicle fracture? Not much. You can pin the sleeve to the body of the onesie to immobilize it. Mostly just be careful not to pull on that arm. It usually is healed up well in a few weeks

So he does have a clavicle fracture but it is really ok. They usually heal quickly and without long term issues.

In the words of Ds:
Oh. My. Gosh.
I'm so glad you're all doing well besides the fracture. Hopefully it's all healed quickly.
