Anyone making a resolution or doing a challenge in January? My MOPs group is doing an organizing/cleaning challenge. I’ll post here too if people want

I don't like to resolve on the new year. But if I was going to it would be to make more family time and generally be more organized. Oh and try to be more excited for sexy time.

I don't do resolutions, but I do goals for the year and separate them into personal, professional, and house. I have lots, but the big personal one is to lose another 20 lbs, for professional it's to get a good start to the MA program I'm starting (part-time distance) next week, and the house one is to finish the upstairs bathroom.

Some things I’d like to focus on:
Less screen time for me and kid Healthier eating Read 15 books Go on some dates with dh Figure out a way to get my kid asleep in a reasonable amount of time and stay asleep for a reasonable amount of time

Lose weight (incentive: bridesmaid dress) Be more organized Find a job Yell less Sleep more/better Use my bullet journal more
I have no confidence that I'll actually pull any of this off, because I'm awful for giving up on goals when I don't see immediate, fantastic results, and also when I feel like I'm the only one trying.

I originally toyed with the idea of doing a Whole30... but then we realized we are going to have a kid-free weekend in the middle of the month and definitely want to indulge. If I do a Whole30 I want to see it through, so that got put on the back burner. Instead we are doing no grains, no sugar, and no booze. Except that one weekend. It’s not that I think grains are unhealthy, I just have no control when I eat them, especially this time of year. I want warm hunks of buttery bread, piles of pasta, and snacks - so many snacks since Thanksgiving! Not eating grains forces me to make healthier choices - like sautéing some spinach with my eggs in the morning instead of having it with toast. Anyway. That’s about it. I want to try and read more real books and less phone, but I’ve said that every year for the past 3 years and haven’t been too successful at it.
