This is where I confess that I stamped, sealed, and addressed all of my Christmas cards while at work this year. I was most motivated by the fact that we have envelope dab n seal sticks there. No awful glue taste🙌🏻 The glue taste is literally why I switched to gluing my envelopes shut with a gluestick. Not interested in that taste ever again. Why have I never thought to do this? You must be a genius.

We went and saw Santa today. I ended up bribing DD with some Hersey Kisses to get the picture...she just wanted to ask him for Oonies for Christmas and leave. The bribe worked better than I thought...I even got a smile

sweetc129 I'm sorry things are a bit rough right now. Sounds like you have a lot going on! Thinking of you and hoping this next week goes by as smoothly as possible. Hugs all around to each one who had a rough night, dealing with sickness, or just overall feeling overwhelmed with the upcoming holiday. ❤

DS and SO leave tomorrow to visit SOs family in Ontario. I'm really looking forward to the quiet time for a few times but they come back late Christmas Day. And considering I cried today over my emails, I'm thinking I'm going to have a hard time managing my emotions properly.
Plus, I still have to do grocery shopping for Christmas dinner (we are doing it boxing day with my boy) and wrap gifts plus I really need to purge the toy room before Christmas and before the kiddo gets back. Its simultaneously too long and not enough time.

Good news!! My OB called and everything looks good with baby's heart (and everything else). Third time was the charm. I don't know if it was the tech or this little guy cooperating, but I'm relieved to have that off my mind before the Christmas crazy really kicks in. auri Awww, that is such a sweet picture! Hooray for getting a smile!

I haven’t been on since Saturday. Yesterday was so busy & I’m just sitting for the first time today really.
MIL’s yesterday was fine. I didn’t associate with SIL like at all & we literally watched Christmas Vacation, ordered pizza, did presents for the kids & then left. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don’t have to see any of them until sometime in January or maybe even February at this point & I’ll take it.
This morning was my big kid’s holiday concert at school & then my gram kept the toddler while my sister & I ran to finish Christmas shopping and to lunch. I’m sore, tired & nauseous now though, so I’m sitting in the recliner with my feet up & we’re watching beauty & the beast until I need to go start dinner.

We wrapped most gifts last night before bed. I still have to wrap my mom’s, my cousin’s, and a couple things for the kids throughout the week. I have baking to do, but I make just wait & do it all Thursday & Friday. It’s just some cookies, plus a cheesecake on Saturday.

I'm sorry sweetc129. That is so much on your plate and it sucks your dad can't be understanding about the situation with your mom regardless of their situation. I hope things slow down for you soon.

I'm back at work today and other than a lingering cough I feel almost back to normal. Two people I know had babies on Saturday which made me impatient for baby girl's arrival. I had a dream that I went into labor which wasn't painful and when I went in and they went to check me she basically slid out without any work. It was so weird.

But boy clothes grew on me and now I feel like so much of it is adorable! Now that I'm having a girl I feel like the girl stuff isn't as cute lol.

I’m just going to pop in and say I received a bunch of baby boy clothes and I’m just not loving much of it. boy clothes are boring. I definitely feel like my taste in baby boy clothes is more streamlined and leans towards blues, grays, neutrals and a few patterns (stripes, stars, etc). I told H he was going to be sad about my spending on this boy's wardrobe if he thought me buying clothes for DD was bad. Most of the stuff I find and like for baby boy is more expensive🙈

Most of the stuff I find and like for baby boy is more expensive🙈 My taste in baby boy clothes is the same. I gravitate toward lots of solids, stripes, and some simple patterns/graphics in neutrals, navy, dark green.. like adult colors? Basically mirroring the style in my own clothes, so I’m loving boy clothes. Powder blue and pale yellow... I just can’t.

Today is my last day in the office until next year so I'm trying to be productive. I have a few more binders to review for an audit in Jan so my goal is to get them knocked out.
We finished all of the painting in the nursery yesterday so I'm feeling better about that. I think we should be able to get the crib put together and everything arranged in there in the next few days.
I really need to get focused on Christmas. I usually have a menu for Christmas Eve and a shopping list ready to go by Dec 1. This year...still not done. Whoops.

My husband just apologized for something that happened over two years ago and was so minor that I don't really remember it. I'm trying to figure out why it was so important for him to apologize this morning for not helping more when we took DD on a plane and she was screaming.

I’m just going to pop in and say I received a bunch of baby boy clothes and I’m just not loving much of it. boy clothes are boring. I feel that way about most boy clothes, too. But if you're willing to do a little digging, you can find some really adorable boy clothes. And stores/brands have gotten better about not just carrying a bunch of clothes with words on them. I like some of Cat and Jack at Target, Baby Gap, CottonOn Kids, Osh Kosh, and one I know I'm forgetting... But like PPs I gravitate toward dark neutrals and subtle patterns, and oh my gosh how cute little boys are in their little jeans! DH jokes that I dress DS the way I wish he would dress. He isn't totally wrong.

He's a pretty contemplative guy and sometimes he'll remember something that he knows he did wrong and feel frustrated with himself not reacting the way he would now, then apologize for it. I'm willing to bet it was just a random thought and he felt similarly. It's kinda sweet that he'd want to apologize for it now, even though it's long past the time for the apology.

With DD1 I pushed less than 10 minutes so I'm definitely hoping for the same this time around.
