Anyone have experience with this? S has a fever and chills. Her hands, cheeks, lips, feet are all cold. Her skin is mottled. I called the pedi and the receptionist said all the nurses were at lunch so we scheduled an appt at 1:15 (so in an hour). She’s currently laying on me bundled up in a blanket. Could she be dehydrated? I know that can cause mottled skin. She’s been drinking pretty well, and I just changed a wet diaper so I don’t think she’s dehydrated.

It’s been 4 hours since she had Motrin so I just gave her Tylenol. I’m just glad this isn’t happening MOTN this time.

trtlcrzy, I would take her to the dr now. Maybe they can fit her in sooner if you get there early for your appointment.

No but I think you can get mottled skin just from being chilled. Do you have any heating pads? I do, but her fever is already 103.7 so I don’t want to do that. Her torso and forehead are hot. Poor baby. What is up with both of your kids and high grade fevers? It would scare the shit out of me.

I took the check in person and deposited it. Thanks. If you can, go back and ask if they can delete the transaction. It probably hasn't been scanned or anything yet and can be deleted. Thanks so much. That's what I did.

The hospital just called to remind me of my csection on Monday. Think anyone ever forgets that?

No, I was asking about the new Olaf movie, but Cadence and I are having a girl's night, so we'll check out Trolls. It was me asking guster. I'll check it out when we get home! It was cute. I like a lot of the 80s (90s) songs that were in it.

But she has Raynauds, so I know that it's based on that. I hope she feels better soon. Poor thing, trtlcrzy.

I was thinking the same thing but the easiest place to be seen is the dr. May not hurt to at least get an appointment made for the dentist so you have it if needed since the Dr hasn't been able to figure it out yet. I have his dental checkup next week so I’ll definitely be bringing up all his mouth issues. Depending what the doc says today, i may try to get him in sooner.

Cat and Jack fans, does anyone have the raincoats that have the eyeholes in the hood? I think it's one of the most clever things I've ever seen.

I had to google mottled skin. I had no idea that was the term for it. I've never heard that before. I’m shocked you haven’t heard of it given where you work! I hadn’t heard that term until S was born and in and out of the hospital the first 6 weeks.

FWP: I sent Cadence to school in the outfit I meant to save for Sunday when she sees Santa. Not our yearly Santa, but a 2nd one. Now I'll need to zip by Target after work and get her something else to wear. Or do laundry tomorrow......ugh.

After the doctor initially said it was probably viral I convinced her to test H for strep. It was positive. Instead of testing S too she just gave me scripts for both. She said the cold hands/mottled skin thing is normal with fevers because the body is trying to regulate it’s temperature.

Okay y'all, I finally found a fault with my MIL. She picked up the kids today from school and she sent me a pic of H. Notice anything wrong?
