I figured this would be a good thread to AW all things baby (baby outfits, gifts, DIY projects, etc.)

This is the going-home outfit DH picked out for baby, but it's too big. 😢 He was pretty disappointed when he realized it wasn't going to fit right away. We're pretty big Nebraska Husker fans, so he was really excited to buy this. Anyhow, I think I'll bring it with us to the hospital anyways and maybe put it on him and still take some pics, even if it's huge. I sorted through what we have so far for baby. A good start!

OMG mattsgirl2004, you are my new bestie. I am also a HUGE Husker fan I'm actually kinda sad that I've "known" you for so long and had no clue.

smootiepie I had no idea you were a Husker fan too! GBR! DH has been pretty excited about the hiring of Scott Frost, so he went on a small Husker apparel shopping spree, lol.

My sister lives in NE, so I'm a half-hearted Nebraska fan, too! Though as a transplanted New Englander, she's still adjusting to the intense Husker spirit.

Our going-home outfit is the "hello, little rainbow" onesie from Target that was posted in some thread early on. I've got maybe 5 of them in various sizes... *cough*

I need to start looking for a going home outfit for her... thanks for the reminder! +1 I've been wanting to look for a coming home outfit, but I think I need to wait until the stores start putting out summer clothes. It will start getting pretty warm in April.

I... should probably buy this poor girl her own brand new going home outfit, since she will live in hand me downs.

I have a ridiculous amount of baby clothes already. I need to sort through and see what is actually sensible for her and what needs packed up. I am anxious to get the nursery organized now that we have furniture put together.

It's been a minute but now I'm going to go check again. Lol. I am feeling like I had a hard time finding it to order online or else I probably would have to begin with? I don't know.

ArielMermaid i am torn between getting something new and using the same outfit we used for dd1. she is going to have loads of hand me downs too, so i want her to have something of her own - but i think using the same outfit would be sweet. i have done zero shopping clothes wise for this one though and i feel bad about it.

polson I got a coming home outfit with the expectation that all our babies will wear it. I thought it would be sweet and I think I finally found the perfect one.(This is the sample, not our name)

I think we’ll have my mom go with DD to pick out a going home outfit for the baby. There’s a BBB near the hospital so they can go find something and wrap it really quickly and then take it home to wash after they visit. I think we’ll have her pick out a wubbanub or something like that too. My mom knows my taste so I know she’ll point DD in the right direction.
I want to put the baby in DD’s outfit but it was NB and barely fit her so I doubt it will work for #2.

We have SO much clothing from our first that I swore I wasn't going to buy anything new for this baby. But Em was born in July so the seasons don't exactly match up, we really had no long sleeve onesies in NB or 0-3 months. So I ordered a few things recently from Target. OMG SO TINY. I can't get over it.
I still have to pick a coming home outfit though. I have a bunch bookmarked from Etsy but nothing chosen yet. We were team green with Em so her coming home outfit was gender neutral (and HUGE on her) so with this LO I wanted to get something more girly.

I’m torn. It’s April & Michigan, so it could be 80° & sunny or less than 50° & rainy or even snowing. Even bringing home my late July & mid May babies, we had odd weather for both.

All my kids just go home in some sort of Carter's sleeper. Since it's our first boy he's lucky he isn't stuck with so many hand me downs like middle sister has.

Dd1 came home in a Carters longsleeve onesie that had flowers on it I think and light pink pants. I kept it and it may still be cold here at the end of March so I can reuse it but I've been spiraling on Etsy and may get a custom shirt instead. I bought this last week at Target and love it.

I haven't even thought of a coming home outfit yet. I should get on that.
I feel like I'm just getting used to the idea of being pregnant and now I need to get used to the idea of bringing an actual baby home.

I am at the point of planning for a baby, but not at the point of actually realizing I'm going to have an actual human baby to use this stuff with. It's weird.

I'm in IL and I very clearly remember being in a tank dress for my H's birthday (4/20- 1 day before my due date with this pregnancy) the last time I was pregnant. I've been buying long sleeved stuff though because if it's hot already we will definitely have the air on. I'll probably grab a few more spring/summer things closer to due date though just to be safe.

DS1 came home in a preemie sized grey and white snowflake coverall. I got it out the other day and will take it with me for in case DS2 is itty bitty too. But I bought these from target- they’ve got hand covers, feet and two way zip to make changing easy. I like easy outfits.
