My mom requested Christmas coasters so I made these today. I couldn’t find a pattern I liked but I saw a picture similar to these and kind of fudged the pattern. I love them.

honeylemon, I love those SO MUCH. They look great; you should write that pattern up! If for nothing else, so you remember how to make them next year when everyone wants some ;-)

I'm nearly done with a crochet scarf for my mom; I'll post pics once I am, I'm very happy with how it turned out. But I had to pause today to crochet 2 ninja turtle scarves. For ninja turtles, I mean, not decorated with. Donnie and Leo were cold DS's requests sure keep me creative. honeylemon, I'll have to tuck away that pattern for next year, thanks. It is super pretty, would make fun ornaments too.

sudokufan that is hilarious about the scarves. My kids think I can make anything and have regular requests. When my oldest had to wear a patch for a few months, he required a patch for one of his toys (which I had also crocheted)

I had one person request hot pads for Christmas, so not very exciting but at least not time consuming either considering I had/have a bunch of extra stuff to do in other areas of my life which leaves me little time for crafting. I finished one hot pad so far but likely won't get back to them until next week.
One of our blinds broke, so I am hoping to get curtains made soon for that pair of windows. It would be nice if I could get curtains done for at least one or two other rooms too yet this month before company comes, but I doubt it will happen (heck, I doubt I will even get the fabric bought). I have yet to make any curtains for our new house despite being moved in for a while now.
Apparently I need to fix several Christmas decorations too if I ever find my super glue and hot glue. I am realizing recently that I am missing several essential crafting items. It is not helping me be able to craft when the last several projects I have tried to work on have gotten hung up due to missing tools and supplies.

I’ve been bouncing from project to project, but I’ve finally got a few finished! I finished this wreath up about a week ago. It’s my favorite thing I’ve made in a while I also decided to string popcorn and cranberries. I’m really happy with how it turned out! And now I’m currently working on new stockings for the kids. I’ve got DD’s done so far. I’m not sure I like the pink (it’s doesn’t feel super festive to me), but I really like the holly berries, so it will work for this year

elsiemae if you do, I recommend biting the bullet and buying the book for the pattern. I had to order it from the Deramores website and it was over $20 but it has tons of pictures and notes that help so much.

I need to make some Christmas placemats and napkins for our dining room (fabric is washed and ironed, just need to cut and sew them up). I also have some Christmas presents to make, but those shouldn't take too long if I get working on them. I'm going to etch some glasses for friends and make some custom pillow covers for family who moved (custom GPS coordinates with their names). I am also going to make some personalized flour sack towels.
Fortunately the pillows are designed so I just need to cut the HTV and press it on and I have the design for the glasses ready to go as well. For me the designing takes the longest amount of time.

I finished my mom's scarf, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I think I might make one for myself. Except I have to do one for my dad, and DS. And will probably write up the instructions since I totally winged it.

You ladies are all so crafty. honeylemon every month I'm in awe of your crafts. Do you have an Instagram for them? I hippie that's not creepy, but you do an awesome job. I'm making Christmas shirts for the kids tonight. Tea towels for a gift exchange this weekend. Maybe shirts for dh and I if I get time.

I have to finish this by Christmas. It's a throw blanket for a family member. It's a pretty basic pattern and bulky yarn on big needles, so I thought it would go quickly, but it's taking forever. I also need to get a baby blanket done for another family member by her shower on the 31st, but I'm not sure that's feasible at this point.

I finished my kids shirts and a grocery bag for a white elephant gift.
DS1's shirt says Keep the change ya filthy animal with the house from the home alone movie.
DS2's shirt is Donald duck in a Santa hat.
Grocery bag says Locally Sourced Organic Sh*t with a carrot as the I of shit.

I finally quilted and bound my nephews quilt. It's gonna be a struggle to go back to regular machine quilting after using a long arm. So easy and so fast! Onto the next nephew's quilt.

honeylemon 😍 I love those coasters!! You make me want to learn how to crochet even though I have a massive back load of knitting projects. elsiemae love that Garland. LOVE. SO I've been busy and I'm legit Christmas scrambling. I've already given up the idea that one project will not be complete for the holidays (sweater vest for Dad) but the other one HAS to be (3rd mermaid blanket for my 4 year old niece). I lost a week during my staycation with a hand infection and wasn't allowed to do anything. 😭 Luckily I'm all better but I'm going to have some late nights. Literally me every year. Pictures! This is year 3 of knitted ornaments for my nieces/nephews. It is the year of the penguin. I finished these in October? November? But never posted. Here are the two completed mermaid tails, along with a sneak peak of number 3. I love them and need one for me. No picture of the sweater vest yet. I have the back completed and the front cast on with a few rows done. It is in my purse as a to go project while I try to bust out the last blanket.

My current project, which has to be completed by Thursday! A Daniel Tiger felt quiet book for my 18 month old niece. I’m really pleased with how it’s turning out, although I need to get 4 more pages completed in two nights. Luckily I’m finding a groove and each page only took be about an hour last night.

New to this board but any tips for making felt book pieces? I'm involved in a nonprofit for children with down syndrome (my son has DS) and I'm starting a storytime. I want to incorporate felt story boards but cost is a factor as all programming is free for participants. I'm crafty but usually am a paper crafter. I do have a cricut.

I've been making a lot of stuff for NYE. Photo booth and props and a banner. I also Made a calendar using DS handprints and footprints. Next on my list is tshirts for aunts and uncles. I got a newer version of the cricut for my bday and it works so much better than my old one!
