My mom is being moved to a regular room! They haven't told her anything regarding her MRI, but the heart Ultrasound looked good. She's allowed to walk again and can actually walk. What a relief! Now we just have to convince her she can't go back to work immediately.

Morning!
Oh...it's 1. Afternoon. Probably should put on some clothes, I'm still in my robe. DH and B are out getting haircuts and when they get home we're going out to do some errands just to get out of the house. I want to get some garland for the front porch railing. Big-time excitement here at the Flamingo house today.

Sorry to hear so many are sick, at urgent care, have sick family members, etc. Yikes. Well wishes for everyone to be better soon. Good news klong11 ! I was thinking about her earlier today. Glad to hear she is improving. Oh gosh, peachsmama. FX everything is ok. Poor pup. I know you must feel terrible, but accidents happen.

Dh brought home the Sinterklaas presents my inlaws bought the kids. And with the risk of sounding like a spoiled brat, what is the freaking point of asking me for a wish list if you’re going to buy plastic junk anyway? They know we like quality toys and do not want plastic junk in our house, they’ve been doing this for years, I’m so tired of it. Lol. I hear you. Obviously you can't dictate what others buy but it is a little strange if they ask what you think the kids would like and then do the complete opposite. I love the way my parents do it...they float some ideas by us for "stuff to open"and get a couple things, but then my dad always cuts a check to the college fund, too. Win-win. On the other hand, my ILs just want to give 'stuff'. I’d love for them to do half and half—maybe not as 'fun' but our kids get SO much, they would never miss the extra toys and one day will appreciate the $. I think this is partly motivated by guilt (but that's a whole other can of worms). DH mentions the college fund every time they ask for ideas but so far, nada. :shruggy guy:

wedding Thats something my mother would do. Freaking pick up the phone & call people!!!! Some of us would like to know what’s going on with your health! Adam’s brother texted him that his 11 year old son died. He texted him that.

No breaks or ruptures. They gave her a shot so she doesn't go into shock and said to call if anything changes. Thank God.

Speaking of people keeping things quiet, my Mom was giving me daily updates last year on my Dad's kidney stone. But failed to mention she was going through extensive testing to determine what was growing on her lungs. We never heard a peep until they ruled out cancer. I was pissed and she's been better about keeping me in the loop this time, now that she's got a new, unexplained rapid growth.

I had another great running group before meeting the boys at skating. Then Colin had his first youth swimming lesson - his first lesson without me in the pool. It was a total shit show. He started crying within a minute of getting in and quickly progressed to blood curling screaming. He tried again halfway through but started screaming even quicker. I made him stay the whole time and watch what the kids were doing, we made note of the lifegaurds, and we talked to the instructor who was freakishly patient. He made Colin promise to get in next week.
I'm so exhausted by all his insane behavior lately. He's been good for his teachers, but a wreck otherwise. I really hope this passes soon, I feel so defeated.

A few years ago they found several ‘nodules’ on his lungs. He went through all kinds of tests. I somehow overheard or found out about the PET scan he was scheduled for accidentally (I don’t remember how...maybe my aunt said something to me). I was PISSED! My mom insisted she just didn’t want to unnecessarily worry us. All turned out well. But I told her in the future she needed to share this kind of info and we can all support each other.

klong11 I’m glad your mom is doing so well! peachsmama yikes! Glad nothings broke or ruptured! Hope the pup bounces back well. flamingo it’s just now 1:00 here and although I have showered, I am in my comfy clothes too....aka: a pair of fleece pajama pants and an unmatching old T-shirt . I’m sure when the mailman showed up to deliver a package to the door he must’ve thought I was a lazy bum!

Last year they found 2 and this year it's "too numerous to count", so that may be part of it. I know she's legit scared this time and she knows we want to be there for her.

Well I forgot to get the advent note in before E changed the day. I slipped one in when he wasn't looking. When I pointed it out he said it was magical. We went to the Christmas village /market and went on the horse drawn trolley ride. When we got off E exclaimed it was the best trolley ride he'd ever been on. Then he cried the whole way home because he didn't get to see Santa (and past nap time).

It's really hard to watch a Christmas recital in almost 80 degree heat. By the end of the tap dance the girls were over it and bored with the tap repetition.

Man it's been one hell of a day. It's only 2:00 but it feels like I already worked a full day. I could go to bed right now. It doesn't help that I'm on the verge of being full-blown sick. Nothing like needing to hospitalize someone and have them go missing for a while. Good times.
