Hi again! TMI warning again ......
At first I thought the Doctors visit was a waste of time because he only prescribed over the counter stuff, took away Zofran, and caused me pain. Well I got home and went poop so it was worth it. So I took a nap when LO when did it was great. Now we are watching Princess Sofia.

wedding that's not cool they didn't call and tell you about your FIL. DH's family does stuff like that all the time.

chrisy01 glad you got some relief. peachsmama Happy to hear the puppy is ok. Does your mom know what happened? klong11 good that mom is up. Hope to hear good results soon. wedding sorry about the heart attack and you not knowing. snoopmommymom I was in western NJ earlier, not your way. I'm so proud of DD. The party was for a former neighbor of ours. There were 22 girls who all go to school together except her, she only knew the birthday girl but she jumped right in like she was one of them. Strange coincidence, the girl running the party graduated high school with me even though the party was 40 minutes away. My back is killing me. Thankfully, we are home for the night.

chrisy01 glad you are feeling better. You are a constipation newb though. Throughout the second half of my pregnancy with Maddie I could only go once a week. ??? It was pure hell. They almost wouldn't release me from the hospital because I didn't poop for days after having her. It was...unpleasant. Isn't it fun what kids do to our bodies?

Thanks guys. Seeing FIL so weak was hard but C did so good and brightened his day. We took MIL out to dinner and she really appreciated the break. And the wine. Dh is not pleased but doubt he will ever bring it up. It's just sad really.

Oh lord, if the hospital had refused to release me for that, I’d probably still be there. #performanceanxiety I went 10 long, uncomfortable days after B was born before I could go. It was...traumatic. I think my record before that was 6 or 7, while traveling in Italy. I just can’t go in public or with people around.

Currently putting C down and googling “how to wean a baby”, ha. I knew she would not give up without a fight. We’re down to nap/bedtime feedings only but it’s time to start cutting those out one at a time. I did finally get dressed so we ran some errands, had pizza, and B and I just made Christmas cookies (I.e, used Xmas tree cookie cutter on store bought dough). We’re letting him stay up ‘late’ tonight to watch Home Alone. Not a bad day. AW alert: I caught this today and it melted my heart

The party was a success. Now I’m just waiting on my in-laws come over so I can get ready to go to the stupid party.

Luckily they gave me strong pain meds and stool softners. It made it slightly easier.

That first PP poop after Dude was seriously 10 times more terrifying than labor.
I had stitches that I swore would tear right out.
How do people with a fourth degree tear ever manage to recover?

Agreed, and I was only a third degree with B. I think it's much worse psychologically than physically, or it was for me anyway. Post-C was still scary but easier, b/c I knew I had survived it once. Of course part of what makes that particular occasion so memorable is having C, B, AND the dog all in the bathroom with me simultaneously. The joys of motherhood.

wineallthetime can I ask what you're doing for your anxiety ATM? I'm feeling so overwhelmed and I should probably figure something out lest I end up dealing with PPA/PPD again. I'm sorry!! It's so frustrating. I'm throwing everything at it! Therapist now bi-weekly, psychologist monthly and I went back on my meds. I'm on Wellbutrin and my Dr said from what they can tell the risks are really for the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, so I went back on at 12 weeks pregnant. It's all helping. It's not amazing, but much better. My OB said exactly what you said, thet one reason that they advised going back on meds was to decrease my risk of PPD/PPA. I think I probably need a different med long term, but obviously there aren't a ton that are pregnancy safe and luckily the Wellbutrin is helping. It's what I was on before getting pregnant.

Post pardom poops after a vaginal delivery sound absolutely terrifying. Why don't they perscribe stool softeners? I know they do for c-section due to the pain meds, but it seems like it'd help everything move easier after a vaginal delivery!

Cadence just threw an epic tantrum because she didn't like the book I chose for our third bedtime story. I'm pretty proud of myself, though, I didn't raise my voice and remained calm and we made it out the other side and she is asleep now. I think part of it was she had a busy day and was overtired and it's bedtime, she fights bedtime like it's her job.

They do prescribe stool softeners which helps but it's still painful because of stitches and my body still trying to put things back to normal. Today's poop wasn't quite up there with pp but it still was really painful and I hadn't taken anything yet to help it.

Sure, we all know we're going to poop on the table but you have no idea what you're in for with a PP BM until you sit on the toilet and feel like you're crapping out a steak knife.

Thanks, wineallthetime. I'll talk to my OB. I've never taken any anti-depressants so I'm not sure how they would feel about doing them in pregnancy if it's a first. Can't hurt to ask though.
