Happy birthday peachsmama! Congrats melaniesue! I agree with wedding - better to be overdressed than underdressed. You can't go wrong with a suit. Simple, dark suit, some color in the blouse Side note- I once interviewed someone who wore a baseball hat and a track suit. During the interview he mentioned he was heading to the gym afterwards. He did not get the job When I was younger (early 20’s) I interviewed for a job.m I wore a skirt/ blazer but wore sandals heels. They told the recruiter that was so unprofessional and it cost me the job 🙁 Depending on the job and if the applicant was young and naive, I would certainly overlook that. But this was literally an old school addidas type track suit

melaniesue, I recently went on an interview for the first time in over a decade and I got a suit from Ann Taylor outlet. Don't know if you have one near you. They had a bunch of different styles and I like that they have a 'curvy' style (which is necessary for my hip to waist ratio)

yummeecookee What ever happened with the one year old that came to B's party as a sibling? Did the Mom pay you? Apparently 2 things are happening here; 1- I'm not ok with unresolved situations and 2-I need to get back to work. It was the father and he brought the 1yo, made no further comment about the extra guest and didn’t offer to pay. And he is the one that rsvp’d btw, telling me he was bringing the kid. So we can’t even be like “well mom intended to pay, but you know husbands, they forget stuff.”

Another year, he loaned his jacket to an interviewee who impressed him and was being sent directly over to the district office.

I can understand someone not have money to buy a suit and would overlook many things. But A) Walmart sells polo type shirts for $5, and B) this guy's sneakers cost more than my whole outfit

melaniesue I would wear a suit, like others said. If you can't find a suit I would do pixie pants/dress pants, a very nice top and a sweater or cardigan over it. Congrats on the interview!

Ds probably has hfm... so probably no Sinterklaas celebration with my inlaws tomorrow since there’s also a 3w old baby attending and I do not want him to catch it. He’s is going to be so disappointed 😔. I'm sorry what a bummer

I need to do this with my jeans, but I'm in denial and refusing to. I bought 3 different styles of jeans from AE in my bigger size on Black Friday to try since they were $25 a piece. If I don’t like them I’ll return whatever. I really just need to lose this dang weight.

Pixie pant fans: I have looked at them before but they don’t sell the short length in the store near me so I’ll have to order online. I see there are different types, do you like the ankle pants or the long pants?

Maybe I should just get the regular ones. I need to go to the store and try them on.

I’m annoyed. I scheduled a haircut for tomorrow morning because I knew DH would be home and I wouldn’t need to worry about finding someone to watch the girls. This morning DH found out he has to work tomorrow 😭😭😭. And after the week I’ve had I needed to let DH do most of the parenting tomorrow. FIL is going to come over to watch the girls while I get my haircut so at least I didn’t have to reschedule.

Speaking of weight gain, I just ate 6 mini frozen snickers and thinking about going back for more.

I was just at the gas station and this rando pulls in behind me and says "hey. Can you watch my car for me?" I was stuttering a response and realized it was my cousin. I don't know if I'll ever get used to running into family in the wild.

+ whatever to loving the pixie pant. They have the perfect amount of stretch to hold me in between sizes. I usually do ankle length but ordered some regular length to try out.

MH sucked all the fun out of the advent calendar and I wanted to throw it (and him) out the window. I'm all for using it as a learning experience, but he was making C tell him what every number is and find the 24 by himself. C was getting so frustrated. It's supposed to be fun!

Also (wow, stop posting Wine!), I thought you were supposed to start with 24 when doing the advent calendar to count down til Christmas... we did 24, but that was clearly supposed to be the last one.
