Weeks pregnant: 21
Baby is the size of a: baby bok choy
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: pink
Appointments: December 22
Symptoms: a couple weeks ago I went on vacation and did a lot of hiking and walking. I came back with SPD, which I didn't have during my first pregnancy, and now I really have to limit how much I walk. My left hip has started aching and cramping at night. And last weekend I fell on the stairs and really hurt my tailbone, so I feel like I'm hobbling around and can barely move these days.
Milestones: none
Rants/Raves/Vents: being in chronic pain really sucks! I didn't realize how easy I had it with my first pregnancy.
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy?
I'm excited to eventually settle on a name for this baby! And I was excited about getting DS moved to his new room and setting both rooms up, but my husband suddenly got a job interview in another province and if he gets the job we'll have to move in the new year. So those plans are going on the back burner for a bit.

Weeks pregnant: 17+4
Baby is the size of a: according to Ovia, a chipmunk or a playstation controller.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: third
Team: team green, so far. (More below)
Appointments: next Wednesday, I have my AS with the MFM in the AM and then my normal OB appointment in the afternoon.
Symptoms: nausea still, but vomiting is getting way better; RLP; horrible sleeping.
Milestones: movement occasionally.
Rants/Raves/Vents: not really a rant/rave/vent, but, H & I have been leaning heavily towards being team green and the big kid has been all in & excited. Then he heard that we could find out next week and has us wavering. Now, I'm trying to decide what to do, whether to find out or not, and then how to tell the kids one way or another. If we find out, I want to all find out together, so maybe have the tech write it down? IDK.
GTKY: is it horrible to say for it to be over? I just really hate being pregnant. Otherwise, I'm excited for a moscow mule on the back deck come summertime. And for more movement that both my other kids can feel on the outside.

Weeks pregnant: 20w5d
Baby is the size of a: paper airplane
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: green
Appointments: see vent from the randoms. Nothing until after Christmas
Symptoms: insanely dry skin, nose bleeds, RLP, pregsomnia, and I’m either starving or can’t tans the idea of food at all - there is no middle ground.
Milestones: AS came back all normal!
Rants/Raves/Vents: dumb OB office stuff. I also found out the two NP I love left. But two OBs I dislike Also left so I guess you win some, you lose some.
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Viability. I feel like my anxiety always drops after viability day. I think that plus really consistent movement helps so much. I’m also so so excited for maternity leave. Snuggles, slow mornings, more time with DH and DD.
I also just want to know what this baby is so I can add fun accents to the nursery!

Weeks pregnant: 24
Baby is the size of a: cabbage
FTM/STM/TTM: stm
Team: green
Appointments: glucose test on 12/5
Symptoms: heartburn, back pain, insomnia.
Milestones: I guess viability!
Rants/raves/vents: it still shocks me that people freely comment on how you look. Anything more than "you look good" is too much.
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our anatomy scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? I am resisting the urge to nest. I want to purge all the things and make space for this baby. I'm trying to wait until after Christmas though and we're still trying g to decide if we could swing a move in the new year. We haven't been happy in our rental for a long time and having family living with us has been emotionally taxing.

snowmoon if you can swing it financially totally look for a new place. It’s easier moving while pregnant and the long term gain of less emotional stress and starting fresh with your new baby will make it worth it.

It’s easier moving while pregnant and the long term gain of less emotional stress and starting fresh with your new baby will make it worth it. We're really trying! Finances aren't the issue, it's a lack of availability. It's been so competitive here. That and our schedules are whack and we depend on my mom for childcare where there's an overlap. Like SO leave for work at 5:00 and I'm not home from my overnight shift until 8:30. But I'm ready to have our own space and routine again before the new baby.

Weeks pregnant: 26+5
Baby is the size of a: butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue!
Appointments: Glucose test this Friday, then OB on Monday
Symptoms: a little cramping, still breaking out, back pain
Rants/Raves/Vents: I do not love exercise, but I was getting into pretty good routine pre-pregnancy. Then first tri sucked and I didn't want to work out or do anything even a little physically demanding. And then I started to feel better and have more energy and I just sort of forgot about working out. So the other day I tried to do a little stretching and a super light workout and OMG I tried to lunge and I about fell over. I know being pg changes your balance and all, but I'm amazed at how quickly I've lost all my yoga strength and skill.
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Getting the nursery set up! I'm also waiting on MH to do get some random things out of there so I can really start to organize and decorate. I had to shut the door to the room because it's making me so anxious to see it all cluttered and unorganized.

I'm finally getting excited for baby girl to come and looking forward to staying home with her. GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Weeks pregnant: 22,5
Baby is the size of a: Pip Boy, Eggplant, Guinea Pig
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: First take-home baby
Team: Green
Appointments: Friday for a/s pt 2 and MFM
Symptoms: Mood swings, fatigue, possible BH?, I'm also in the in-between of either wanting to eat all the things or nothing at all
Milestones: More movement? idk, nothing all that special atm
Rants/Raves/Vents: Our friend that lives with us is apparently going to take every last second of the time limit we set for him. We told him he has to leave by December 31st back in JULY and he just told us this week that he'll be moving in to his new work friend's house January 1st. I'm so annoyed that he's taken so long to do this (he was only supposed to be with us for a few months, so he could figure his shit out with a roof over his head instead of being homeless...well that was last December.) and he's been horrific with his money and taken advantage of us at pretty much every turn. We have been charging him rent of our extra room at MUCH lower than the local market (which included all utilities) AND gave him a discount for a month if he decided to get his GED, so he'd have the money for that test (spoiler: he said he'd do it, then didn't, so we basically just let him fritter even more money away on bullshit he doesn't need). He also tried to convince me last month that he'd overpaid because he had an extra paycheck month (he didn't).
I'm just tired of dealing with another man-child in my house. He basically stays in his room all day and only comes out to use the bathroom or make food. Then leaves all the dirty dishes for us to deal with. I know I have legitimate frustrations (I mean, listen to all this, ugh), but I also know I'm too harsh. He's actually a really nice guy and he's been through some shit and I do value him as a friend. But lordy lordy help me with these hormones, I just want my house back ffs.
Also, we have offered to let SIL move in because she's in an abusive environment, but the house is way too small for all of us. She'd be amazing with our kid and I know she'd want to GTFO ASAP once she gets her degree next semester and finds a job. I don't have any of the same worries about her overextending her welcome at all.
*sigh* I think all of this is feeding into my anxious energy/out-of-control feeling and I just want to be able to deal with my shit on my own terms finally. Soon, Rama. Soon. Just one more month. I can do this.
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Also birth. I'm hoping I won't be as terrified of them suddenly dying when they're here instead of inside me. But other than that, I'm looking forward to V Day and every day I get closer to meeting them Earthside.

Rama it's so, so hard to have other people living with you. Especially when you feel like you're doing them a favour and they take advantage or overstep boundaries. I feel ya. At the end of January, we'll have had our house for four years. I think, all together, we will have had our house to ourselves for a grand total of 18-19 months. SIL lived with us previously for a little over a year and now this friend. And, yes, I realize how crazy I sound for offering/wanting SIL to move in again, especially so soon before baby. I think we'll have another sit-down discussion about it at the beginning of the year, when we've dealt with cleaning the guest room, and decide what will work best for everyone. I want to save my SIL from her situation because we're literally the only place she can go (has no job, FIL has no room, MIL lives 2 hours away, the friend she currently lives with is abusive), but I think we need to have our heads on straight before we make any strong moves. I already know SIL will be an amazing help with the kid, I'm not really worried about that (she basically raised friend's two sons from birth), but I know she also has reservations about moving in because she knows how little time we've had our house to ourselves, too. Which only makes me want her to move in more because I'm confident that means she won't overstay. I'm also extremely naive and this is why we're in the situation we're in right now, hahaha. So...we'll see. Maybe we'll get a few precious months before baby is born to just enjoy being a couple before we're parents.

Weeks pregnant: 25 weeks
Baby is the size of a: cauliflower
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: blue
Appointments: I have one coming up in a few weeks I think. I’ll have to do my GD test then. Blah.
Symptoms: still throwing up about every 2-3 days. And the heartburn is pretty terrible. Otherwise I feel pretty decent for most of the day, just crash in the evening.
Milestones: none this week
Rants/Raves/Vents: I hate how when you are pregnant everyone thinks they can comment on how you look. Like please only say “you look so great and happy!” Otherwise please keep your opinions to yourself. Kthanks!
I also have had a few people touch my stomach this time around - that’s new, no one did that in my first pregnancy. It’s been people I’m close to but I’m still like wtf are you doing? Just because I’m pregnant doesn’t give you the right to touch me. Ugh. It’s actually harder since it’s people I’m close to because I don’t want to hurt their feelings - but then they aren’t considering my feelings sooo...
GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Birth. Everything from here on out just gets more uncomfortable. I cannot wait to meet this little guy!

Weeks pregnant: 22w6d Baby is the size of a: coconut, Pip-boy FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM (4th pg) Team: Blue Appointments: Repeat a/s this morning, checkup in a couple weeks Symptoms: Being kicked in the vagina, waking up to roll over at night, all the glamorous stuff Milestones: A hopefully good repeat a/s this morning Rants/Raves/Vents: Seeing the baby this morning had more of an impact on me than past ultrasounds. I just sort of fell in love with him a whole lot more. Maybe because he looked more like a baby, and because I got to see him "eating" and kicking. It's just nice to feel that connection growing, since I was so worried I'd be resentful or too disappointed about having another boy. GTKY: Now that most of us have had our Anatomy Scans...what else are you excited for this pregnancy? Picking out baby gear. I'm super weird in that I love the research and the hunt to figure out the best option for our family and at a good price.

Rama That sounds insanely stressful. You and your H are saints for wanting to open your home to people that genuinely have a need, and it's so frustrating that the friend in particular has taken such advantage. I hear you on your SIL's hesitation actually being reassuring, but I think it's worth taking that breather after the friend moves out and you have the chance to have your house to yourselves for a hot second, then reevaluate. Especially with baby arriving soon - that adds a whole bucketload of factors that, in the least condescending and most well-meaning way possible, you can't totally anticipate until that baby is home and you're neck-deep in it.
