I have to go run some errands so I'll be showering and I'll try to take a good picture.
How early is too early to wash the baby clothes and get them ready? I have a lot of hand me downs that can be washed, plus some new stuff, but I don't want to wash it now if it will need washed again in January. Plus I don't want to wash too many newborn clothes that we bought incase she is too big for them (but so far it doesn't look like that is likely).

aprilz81, pinkcat, I think you could probably wash stuff now. I would was as little new stuff as possible though. We washed everything before DD1 and didn't end up wearing half of it. And it's off season now so most likely won't get to wear it this time around either.

Well I'm running on 3.5 hours of sleep thanks to my chest congestion and cough. I've peed myself twice so far this morning so I'm off to a good start (haha!)
Going to do a bit of grading and then honestly I might nap. I know I shouldn't waste time like that while DS is at daycare but I am just exhausted.

As soon as our construction is wrapped up (should be this week or early next) I'll wash the hand me downs and a few newborn sleepers and then wait for the rest until I know how big she will be. No point in washing things today since there is still some dust being created... Also, our detergent and fabric softener is dye and scent free, so I REALLY need to use a baby specific stuff?

We just use All Free and Clear. DS has ridiculously sensitive sink and it’s been fine for him. Don’t waste your money in the over priced baby stuff.

Morning! 33 weeks yesterday, though I took the pic Sunday because I had makeup on Baha And these two big ones And just for good measure, because I think this picture is cute. I finally benched me and the bump from skating and DS was being a goofball coming to sit with me

Ugh we DTD a couple nights ago for the first time in a while. And I have been SO crampy ever since. Like, when I stand up and walk, I get immense pressure across my lower belly, like where my pants hit. And it almost feels like I pulled all my muscles there. I feel like I shouldn’t be feeling this much pressure/cramps after sex. Not sure if I should be worried or not

I already washed it all and put it away in her drawers. I def don’t think it’s too early to do so. Dd wore 0-3 months right out of the womb, so she skipped right over newborn. Luckily I only had about 3-4 outfits in newborn just in case, but I was annoyed I washed them and couldn’t return them.

I have had an awful cough for like a month now, and I can’t tell you how many pairs of underwear I’ve gone through from peeing myself 😩🙈... I would wear a liner for a few days and be ok, then go without one and go into a random coughing fit and then pee. Ugh so damn frustrating. MH just laughs at me.

aprilz81 I use our fragrance-free detergent and not specific baby stuff + 1... baby-specific detergent is way too pricey.

I had such bad acid reflux last night I was dying from coughing for a solid 2 hours. I finally went to go downstairs to try some milk and had a coughing fit on the way and literally peed all over the floor.
I feel slightly traumatized by this experience but am hopeful in 4 weeks from now I can look back and laugh

I highly recommend checking the EWG site on products (detergent, soap, cleaners, etc) that you intend to use on or around baby. So many products manage to hide toxins, carcinogens, hormone disrupters, etc. we were using Tide Free and Clear and it didn’t bother any of my sensitive skinned family. But the site rates it an F. We’ve switched to seventh generation. 🤷🏼♀️

aprilz81, we actually still use dreft. DD1's skin is very sensitive and she has never had a reaction to it so we are sticking with it and use it for all of our clothes. We get it at Sam's and it only works out to be $2-3 more than any of the free and clear detergents for a big jug of it. And it's sometimes the same price when they have it on sale.

Hi y’all! This has been my day— sewing our Christmas stockings after four years of marriage lol. And here we are so far! L to R is DH, me, DD, baby boy, and the dog! The two on the left aren’t finished— I’m adding a cuff on top of them all but I’m embroidering our names so I’m going to do that before I sew the cuffs on. So for now just sewing the bodies!

Also re: detergent... we just use original tide powder bc it works best for our cloth diapers & DNW to buy two types.

We used tide free and clear last time around. Unless an issue presents itself we will probably do the same this time around.
