I'm sure my constant comparing of pregnancies is getting super obnoxious, but I guess I just keep being surprised by symptoms and things that are brand new to me. Today's example: this child is regularly kicking me...straight down. It feels like he's kicking me right in the vagina, and it's literally made my knees buckle mid-walk. DS1 generally wasn't this active and settled head-down early on. I really hope this isn't foreshadowing of a breech baby. I think our babies are communicating somehow. Mine's favorite plaything is my cervix, too.

I’m really hoping that the cervix ones are fist bumps.

DD was straight up tickling my cervix in utero. It was gross and weird. I feel like this kid pushes off one side of my uterus so s/he can smack into the other side as hard as possible.

I haven't been around much this week. It's been so busy on my end and more so just really rough. This is the hardest week I've had with my 18 year old DS. Many struggles and probably the most difficult position I've ever been in as a parent. Give me teething and sleep deprivation over this any day. I love my son and I'm doing all I can to help him, but there's only so much I can do for him especially if he's unwilling to put any effort in on his part. Sorry for the rant. I'm tired, concerned, overwhelmed, and really wish I could snap my fingers and make things all better.

I'm joining the being kicked in the cervix club. He's been hanging out way low these days. It's such a weird feeling. DD2 did this to me a lot too.

I'm sure you're being an amazing parent, no matter how little you think you're doing. Support and love go a long way, even if they don't fix the problem. <3

Thanks polson and Rama. I thought things were starting to look up, but last night and this morning were pretty awful. 😕 Doing the best I can though and hoping I'm making good decisions on his behalf.

This happened to me the other day and I was positive there was going to be a tiny foot visible down there.

P-in-V is super uncomfortable to the point of wanting nothing to do with it, even trying different positions and all that. My cervix is sitting so low but it feels like I'm carrying relatively high so...I don't know what's going on.

Any tips for where to find business appropriate maternity clothes that aren't $$. I have to go to Boston in January for work. Our office has a casual dress code (which I definitely press while I pregnant) but for this I need actual nice clothes. I have dresses but they're all body contouring and I'm not sure 100% business appropriate...plus Boston in January.

One pair is from Burlington Coat Factory.

cornpop , in my first pregnancy I got way with black dress pants and pencil skirts paired with basic maternity blouses and either a regular cardi or blazer, unbuttoned. The unbuttoned thing wouldn't work in a super conservative atmosphere but everywhere else it should work. Asos has pencil skirts and dress pants for relatively cheap. Also, how far from your office are you staying? You'll want a decent jacket and waterproof boots if you have to walk at all. It can get sloppy here in January.

calendula, I'm not sure, there's supposedly a shuttle from the hotel -> office. I got a maternity coat but it's not super warm so I'll probably be layering it with sweaters. I do have decent winter boots at least.

mattsgirl2004 I'm so sorry it's been a rough week. You're an amazing mom, and it's so obvious how much you love your son. Hang in there, I hope this week is a brighter one. *hugs* Leaf 🌱 I hadn't even thought of that - we're always evening people, but I'll give anything a shot. Gravity, eh? cornpop Maybe Pink Blush? I've also heard good things about Asos and Loft for work-friendly maternity clothes.

cornpop get the stretchy black maternity ponte pants at target ($25?) and pair it with a blouse (ON/Motherhood) and sweater or regular blazer. This has been my go to and worked for me last pregnancy as well. The pants look really nice but feel like leggings.

cornpop I’m sick too and it sucks. leatherpants that’s great news!! Hope you can relax a bit now ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) My AS is tomorrow and I still have no idea how we want to tell our girls. Or find out ourselves. I did find out my glucose test is at 24wks? It’s always been 28 in the past, what’s up with that? Oh and 24 weeks is 2 days after Christmas. That won’t be happening tyvm. My GT is at my next appt which will be 24-25w. I asked about it and they said anywhere from 24-28 is fine.

At my appt yesterday the NP said they would schedule my glucose test after next appt which is at 27 weeks and after Christmas. But I go to my specialist the week before for an ultrasound and they ordered it last time so I'll see if they want it done earlier.
I'm slightly annoyed with my OB's office. I guess my OB only takes appts 2 days a week now so he is always booked up so my next appt is with the NP again. I wanted to schedule my next appt right away so I can see him but they don't have their January calendar out yet. It's just going to be impossible to get appts with him especially when they become biweekly and weekly. It was not this hard to get in to see him when I was pregnant with DD1.

DS had his 4 year well child appointment today. He hates going to the doctor because of shots. He survived his 2 shots. DH and I had to hold him down while he screamed and two nurses gave him the shots at the same time. Thankfully, Hot Wheel cars made everything all better. However, he said he couldn’t walk to bed tonight because of the shots.

katietopaz, I did the 3 hour test a couple weeks ago. I failed it miserably. I will survive. It is only temporary and I will allow myself to have a treat every now and then. yianna I will gladly take the PB cup recipe. I joined a GD group on Facebook and some good recipes are posted there.

Well my appt went well. Baby is healthy and on schedule. It’s also a boy and I am freaking the f out. I do not even know what to think of that. I’m trying to believe it’ll be ok and not totally ruin the dynamics of my household. I feel like a terrible human and a worse mom.

dizzycooks yay for a good scan! you will figure the boy thing out, and i'm sure your girls will end up adoring him (and possibly enjoy bossing him around?) adding another to any existing family unit is scary just because of the whole unknown factor - your feelings and emotions are normal and valid.
