Slate just released the first episode of a new podcast called Slow Burn. It is an 8 episode deep dive into Watergate. I found it fascinating, yet really terrifying given how similar some events are being handled today compared to how the Nixon admin handled their cover-up.

OMG hawkeye2015. That makes his anti-Muslim retweets this morning even more unhinged. It's an awful feeling to know your president is unhinged enough to retweet that same garbage... or that maybe he's been hacked... and not to know which is the lesser of two evils. I am still waking up, but I also just saw somewhere that Matt Lauer got let go from NBC overnight. (Maybe I saw it here? I'm not the sharpest tool at 7 am.) |

Brian Stelter said there have been rumors of a big Lauer story for weeks. So I’m guessing on top of this accusation, NBC knows more is coming and that’s wht he was fired so fast.
