If the GOP wants to leave the Trump days truly behind them, they will have to tell Pence to FRO. They have a lot to lose. It will never be admitted, but they do.

I said a long time ago that unless something comes up that they absolutely cannot ignore, the GOP won't do a damn thing to remove 45 until just after the two year mark. Then, they will turn on him so fast, it will make your head spin, Pence will serve less than two years of 45's term, which makes him eligible to run twice on his own, and we'll be stuck with almost ten years of President Pence. Welcome to Gilead. I do not think Pence would get re-elected. I really don't.
Many of the newly woke are fierce protectors of the LGBTQ community, and his ties to Trump will fuck him over for years to come.

I was talking with my dad and he made the comment about impeachment. I was like HA they are not going to impeach him anytime soon. They are right where they want to be. They honestly dont care about 45 with the exception of him signing all their shitty legislation they have not managed to pass.

In my opinion, it would be political suicide to continue to back Pence for that long, solely based on the fact that he was Trump’s VP. They will be backed in a corner. |

I just want to say that I've been MIA because I grounded myself from HIH for 2 weeks while I was under my major annual deadline at work. Political banter and speculation with you all is like my ultimate luxury and it was time for austerity. But I am back and what a perfect time.

I was bitching about this tax bill at our playgroup on Tuesday and one of the women thought I was nuts for being upset about it because my family will actually benefit from it.
I just...how have we gotten to this point where we're only supposed to care about how things will affect us?
I didn't tell her that, but did point out that the repeal of the individual mandate has the potential to hurt us big time since my husband has a genetic disorder. She didn't even realize that was part of it.

ETA: I was complaining about how badly it's going to screw over the middle class.

On to conference committee where hopefully they fuck up somehow.
